Idolizing marriage and husbands sets us up for heart break pro max. This blinds your eyes to red flags ,equipping ourselves to be make ourselves happy with or without them, or building skills that can make marriage work! etc.
Love is not enough, he having a great job or looks is not enough
Men are humans ,not princes in shining armour

Reach out to their husbands and get their stories, too, to balance the conversation. It will do society a great service.
Well done Chude, there is a thing about your questions that gets people to their core.

Our concept of marriage in Africa where a man is a god over his woman and gets away with everything and a woman is treated unfairly or as a property and has to endure everything. Most marriages that lasted is because the woman endured the hurt as culture demands, But now most women are no longer ready to endure the hurt despite the shame and the mockery they will face in the society. Many women are now choosing their lives/ happiness over the overrated marriage. I personally believe that marriage is not that hard if we have the right understanding of it and everyone doing his/her own part well.

"Many women are choosing happiness now"
How come marriages have become such a mess in this generation compared to before...😂when our parents were happy even with nothing..
Maybe it's not happiness they are choosing..
And maybe you should also listen to the men side of the stories before you start demonizing African men
      😂
      What a joke of a comment😂

Life generally requires sacrifice. NO EASY ROAD.
Life is a dance always ONLY when you want to have it all worked out...a mirage, a delusion.
