Started with the jumbo golf pride MCC Plus4 on just the driver. I’m a former baseball player who was sick of spraying my driver. Worked immediately and feels so much more controllable. Added them to 3w and hybrid and now they’re going on 4-PW. Could not recommend this more if you feel like you get a lil wristy at impact, or just want to feel more control.
Not afraid to break from the status quo and thinks outside the box. Wish he played the PGA Tour though, because I don’t watch LIV golf and of all the players that jumped ship, he is the only guy I miss.
I have the medium size on my clubs because I am a Bryson fanboy loads people asked why I said try it and they are getting them done as a older man it cuts down the vibration and when hit turf first doesn’t hurt too much where normal grip I can only play for few holes before hands seize up these no probs
@@christopherxl He has now won a US Open with XL Ultralight and XL Tour grips. Maybe it goes to show that swing weight isn't as important as I've always thought
I've never heard of DeChambeau when I started using oversized grips on a few of my longer clubs. I've got a huge hand and just like Bryson was saying, the regular grips just didn't feel right so I had the largest putter grips put on my driver, 3W and my 2 iron. I haven't gone back
I totally agree with Bryson’s remark. Take tennis for example, there are several handle sizes available for each player to get the best suited one. It makes a major difference. I just can’t get why golf is so late on getting interested in this subject. It is as essential a part of club fitting as shaft length or lie angle, if not much more.
He's 6'1, so he's easily an XL. Years of being a goalkeeper I would assume he's either a 9 or 10 goalie glove size. His hands don't look overly large compared to him, and he doesn't have the spidery fingers of a Jimi Hendrix or Michael Jordan.
I'm 7.75" wrist crease to middle (longest) finger, wear M/L gloves (like tightish).. I've played L on Wedges and M on irons and non-jumbo Midsize (lamkin sonar+) on woods/driver I wish the STR8 tech (non-tapered) ones were available in S and L
He's 6'1". What is science is what he was talking about with more surface area. I think in 10 years way more people will at least be using Standard Jumbo size. For one thing, it will cut down on repetitive stress injuries, which is honestly a good enough reason for any serious golfers to eventually switch. I know that's why I started looking into bigger grips. Trigger finger from an overly tight forearm is no fun.
@@TheBruceKeller Dealing with trigger finger right now. Might have to experiment with these big boy grips, even though my hands are only medium/largeish.
@@Wayf4rer I'm coming up on 30 and would really like to play as long as possible. Switching to graphite iron shafts and JumboMax grips this years will hopefully make that a reality

As a guy with an XL gloves who has played for 25 years, I'm finally going to try some JumboMax grips. Wish me luck!

i just got my set regripped today i love the xl grips ill never go back
What size glove are you? I did the Jumbomax fit guide and it recommended the Medium. Large glove here.
@@Marc757 I am a large glove
@@barriefitzgerald2677 Thanks, I went with the medium grip STR8. So far I think they are perfect.
Going with the Jumbomax this season
nowadays he is playing the tour grip which is quite heavy. I'd love him see talking about swingweight in connection with the heavy tour grips.
Nah he moved from tour to ultralight a few years ago
@@christopherxl 100% switched back to Tour Series XL, had them on his clubs for US Open win

Anyone know brysons glove size, to put his grip size in perspective.

Bryson is a big guy. He needs larger grips. This is not rocket science.
