didnt see you line the bushings up, I assume you just put the pin or a similar bar in there before tacking? Your welds look really good. I welded a 75mm solid bar on to a block of steel yesterday, my welds dont look to be to bad, but not in the class of yours, yours look excellent.
Yes!! Sorry i didnt get it on camara but my manager helped me we slided the new pin in lined everything up very carefully and then tacked them in place, before the big welds. The install went smoothly on actual the machine. Just keep practicing and they will get better that’s what i do y try every weld to be better than the last one
So, I'm kind of surprised to find this video 13 hours after posting with no comments. I got my under 1k sub in 👍. So, I have a question - why did you choose to gouge instead of cut or torch off? Was there a benefit to doing one over the others? Thanks!
Glad to have you onboard sir!! Well gouging if used correctly is a fine tool for removing stuff without putting much more heat than needed (torch) in the material, but sometimes i find torch faster, i love the torch as u can see in my other videos, but i also love gouging aswell.
@@aweldersjourney Ah, I see. Does having too much heat in the part preclude the weld from being as strong as it could be? Is it a concern over warping or something like that?
@@mattd1188 in this case warping, but eventually it gets down to personal preference what your most comfortable with and can be used for the application, space available for work etc
