Superb! It's great to hear this instrument in a concert setting in the quiet, even over the internet for those of us scattered across the globe. I've often wondered how the likes of Richard Hills and Jonathan Scott would sound on it, given we have no instruments on this scale/scope here in the UK.
Thank you Peter and all the tech team for putting these concerts up. I've been inspired to transcribe Faure's Nocturne from Shylock as a result. Thanks again.
Love the video. I really miss being in Macy's to hear this magnificent grand instrument & getting goosebumps while attending those Special ticketed Performances - since the Pandemic. So glad I purchased a majority of the DVD & CD's to quench my hunger for a short time * during the Pandemic period. No substitute like attending a live performance & getting a real thrill of such one of a kind ( Grand Musical Instrument ) .
Much thanks Peter and the tech team who put this together. This has inspired me to write my own transcription/arrangement of Faure's Nocturne from Shylock.
You are correct; this surely is not a mechanical organ! The instrument is, of course, all pipe with no speakers; but at this size, there is no way to make the connections mechanically. Electrical impulses have been the method of console connection since day 1 for this instrument.
Penguin's Playtime never fails to put a smile on my face 😀 I hope to learn this piece.
The instrument has not looked or sounded better in my lifetime (60 years)! Thank you for the music!
This makes me very, very happy to hear!
Ditto that in my 70+ years….

Wonderful program!! 👏👏🎹🎶
Very enjoyable playing, thank you very much Mr Conte!!
He's really rocking those penguin socks.
Peter does love his penguins! 🐧
Amázing concert. You are véry talented indeed. We love you and your organ in Holland!

Awesome concert, thank you!
I'm guessing this is an electric organ rather than mechanical (as the largest mechanical organ in the world isn't this one).
