@@MichaelsFishRoom It is like the time a police officer came in my apartment saw the lab we had built (before going main stream) and asked if there was much money in making Vape Juice? I told him enough to cover the bills but I do not see myself making big money at it.
The moment you start flashing cash people (rather right or wrong) assume you are making a fortune and want in on it.
No matter how many fish you can produce chances are someone is going to make more and the market is to volatile when you have people coming and going in the market all the time. I have been in to fish now just about 8 months here. I have seen Plecos, Cichlids, and Angels ruined in the market. I am watching shrimp go that same way right along with Mystery Snails.

Nice vid! I'm using solar power to lower my electricity costs. Although I can't keep track of all the costs my fishroom have it helps a bit.
Not an option for me right now due to trees and hating talking to salesman.
I get lucky with with my LFS he shows me his list An he only charges me a little more then he pays an you are definitely right about making friends with the employees

Awesome video 👍 spot on with everything, especially the relationship with your LFS! One thing that helped me build a good relationship was introducing them to my channel, they were able to get a behind the scenes look into how I actually care for my fish etc which definitely helped a lot. I just breed for fun and they don’t pay me but do give me store credit which definitely helps support my hobby. Anyways great video again and Merry Christmas to you and your family

We don't do presents for Christmas, we go to the movies as a family. There is always a film we are looking forwarde to see together...this Chrissy it's Star Wars the Last Jedi..seeing it tommorrow...has been so difficult avoiding spoilers.

About cutting back on videos, one of my other favorite channels, Pecktec, only does one fish video a week, but they're usually good. It's the quality that matters, and whether you're enjoying doing it. You're not trying to live off of UA-cam, so why try to emulate the schedules of those who are? By the way, are you married?

Sort of.....LOL I have a 30G with some Angels in it in the Kitchen. I will be redoing in soon though!
I have just started my first breeding project with my group of 5 blue wag platies. My local fish shop said he would love to join in with my project but I do have a few questions....
1. What is a good but not expensive way of bagging fish for transport that is only 15min tops?
2. Any secret/not well known tops for raising and breeding livebearers?
I put them in 5g buckets to transport them to my LFS
Most livebearers like hard water, make sure your water is hard and you have plenty of hiding spots.

Michael- unrelated to your video, but for angelfish fry, at what age do they start to show some adult color? my koi angels are just transparaent with black splotches but probably only 2-3 months old now- bit bigger than quarters, almost 50 cent piece sized
they should show color by now....if not they most likely will not have much more.
I tried to establish a business relationship with my local petland, I realized very quickly the employees knew nothing about fish and I was in shock of the condition of their tanks...I wouldn't sell them a rock the tanks were so bad!!!

Michael's Fish Room yeah petland, they got in a bunch of trouble in the 90s for selling puppy mill dogs , petland was the biggest pet store in the country at one point.. and yes they still sell puppies!!
Most of the corporate stores won't even talk to local breeders
