Showta Ito they are a pretty good daily tire. Gets a little loose when the weather is really cold or very wet. In the dry traction is great well at least compared to the michelin prius tires the FRS comes with stock lol. Skids feel pretty well controlled when i did a small donut
Had them on for 17,000 miles before I changed wheels & currently use them as spares. Still looking good for what it is. Originally I bought these as temporary tires just to get me by while looking nice till i ordered new wheels. One of the main reasons i choose these over other tires in the same category because I liked how these looked aesthetically & how simple the sidewall design was.
@@OhItsPhi What's a decent handling tire with decent tread wear for a 17 inch wheel Mini S, in your opinion, I don't know too much about performance tires. I value your opinion. Thanks
@@johncaulfield8621 the neo gen was fine in my honest opinion if your car doesn’t have more than 300 horsepower. The tires I have currently on my 18 inch wheels are the “Michelin Pilot Sport A/3 Plus” are a solid tire that should last 45,000 miles with decent grip & low road noise
oswald uh depends on what fwd car you have lol. If it has less power than a stock FRS than yeah you should be fine. Just keep in mind they will spin in rain if you give it a good amount of gas at least on rwd. In the dry they are good
Had these tires on for 17,170 miles before i switch wheels. From the looks of it it didnt wear much. If you have very conservative camber that’s basically factory spec i see it lasting awhile if you dont go peeling out of every stop light & drive way lmao
Idiots should of used 2x4s and or help lift the car under the wheel wells lol dummy’s. My discount tire have the low profile jacks and I would bring them mine if need be. Just got the new green 3ton Daytona floor jack from harbor freight. Badass jack. Anyways yesterday I just ordered these NEO GENS and hoping they will be good on the rain. Also good for summer. I live in Dallas so idk how well these will do compared to my Yokohama’s. How well have they performed for you? I haven’t even got mine yet. Just ordered yesterday and should take 4-5 days they said and running a 235/40/18
Sorry for the late reply, but they served their purpose for 17k miles well. In wet weather they did break traction when your intentionally giving it more gas, but otherwise did fine in dry weather.
I bet your wheels are overtorqued! They were using torque sticks on the end of the impact and if used excessively can still overtorque big time! They think because they have a torque stick they can give it all the uggas hahaha! The guy in the red shirt didnt do nearly as bad. Sorry but i have to deal with these types of mistakes in my shop and it pains me to watch them do that to your nice car. Also when they torqued it, did they roll into the click? or did it click without the torque wrench even moving? if it didnt move then its overtorqued. I tested the break away torque on some my buddies lexus lugnuts when i went to change his tire because my snapon half inch drive cordless impact went through a whole battery trying to get one lug nut off. Anyways, his break away torque was over 400 ft/lbs! im suprised the lugnuts and studs held because factory torque is like 95 ft/lbs.
Yeah i only went here bc its just stock wheels, & now i just take my new wheels to a trusted tire shop then mount on wheels myself with buddies. When the Discount Tire torque it with the torque wrench it seems liked it moved but not a big movement.
They need to retrain that dude lol
they on backwards? i thought the wide section went on the inside
Not on these. The wide section is actually the outer part of the tire. If you look up pictures you’ll see the same.
Any trusted shop tire? In the Houston area you know?
Yes! The only shop that I go to is NVS customs. They’ve taken care of me for past 2 sets of tires on my TE37
Im considering buying them. How are they so far?

BlinkOnceBuddy thanks imma install them
280 tread wear I'll bet they didn't last 25,000 miles. Let me know..Thanks.

@@OhItsPhi Thanks man, I appreciate you taking the time.
@@johncaulfield8621 ive had these tires for 15k miles and still 8/32
Tires looked good in those wheels. I like the extra meaty look, but that’s just me.
Thanks same here. Stocks look nice with more meat & a spacer
BlinkOnceBuddy I got the spacers. I’m bout to get a set of Nittos too on my frs
i’m considering getting these in my fwd car. i always spin on my stock tires. do you think these will grip better?

How's the road noise?
They’re pretty quiet in my opinion nothing like big truck tires.
About how long did these last mileage wise?

I keep them as spares now & so far they still look good so id recommend them
