Hi Sterling, Love your work! There is something about how the “not so traditional bike” that makes the story better. Thank you for sharing your talent and wonderful stories. “A moment to live for”.
Thank you Sterling! I grew up in Flagstaff and lived and traveled extensively in Arizona for many years. I moved to Washington state 9 years ago, but I still miss these AZ vistas very much! I kinda vicariously satisfy my desire to revisit AZ through your travels, so thank you again!
Hi Sterling & Eva, Hope all of your adventures bring peace and tranquility to you both. The setup you have is just right, not too big or too small and those sunsets are priceless. Nice small gas fireplace you have there, why after toting around the big round fire pit I have I realize I need to make a change! Smaller can be better. Cheers. Love the videos
You just visited my favorite spot on Earth, Sterling. I haven’t been up there since we spread my parents’ ashes. Good to see it’s as beautiful as ever! 🥰
Again fantastic filming and traveling with motorcycle experience, but yes you are a full time videography wizard for me , our content is the best I have seen on utube and enjoying watching you travel for a few years now and lets not forget your cooking ( always interesting) great set up ........thank you for the the Utube adventure. Alain & winterize Yellow. ( Ps you would love our fall our trees are so many colors for a few week the views are amazing.) thank butler map for sponsoring this series this is fantastic.
I've been thinking about getting a swag for desert camping. They look like a great easy all-in-one solution for one person. Nice to see its Noren approved.
I’ve got a similar setup with a motorcycle hitch carrier. You will get better ground clearance if you cut those rear strap attachment bars off and weld them back on at a slight upward angle.
As usual. excellent filming, editing and narrating. I just noticed now that it only has 82k subs, deserves to have 10 times as many and I hope that it will get there one day. rsm8
Nice! Northern AZ is just heaven. I know I keep saying it, but I'm imaging that 701 on a high clearance rear rack and everything else the same. Flow state. Perfect.
Good morning, as per you I bought the book Arizona Backroads and four wheel drive trails, nice to correlate the video to the trail. Looks like the book was a good purchase.
Hello Sterling, love the campsite and vistas that you have filmed. Again loving the Honda trail demonstation of the capabilities up and down that very rocky road. Its is always very interesting when you compare your experiece on this bike to the other big bikes you have ridden on these types of roads. Love to here more comments from you. Your experience and perpective is always great for those of us with less experience and still enjoy various bikes like you. Much love to your channel.
Rode UP Schnebly three years ago, and it has become synonymous with ROCKS for me and my friend. We wanted it to be over quickly, so just sent it on WRRs, and got absolutely beat to death. I thought oh this must be better three years later, then you got to 15:09. Yikes, not better----hahaha, that was my memory also!
Really a very beautiful area Sterling. That Honda 125 sure does the job for you. The van/bike combo works exceptionally well. Best of both worlds. Thanks for sharing the adventure with us.
Wow- Schnebly Hill has really deteriorated since last I was on it. In a way, that's a good thing.. We followed the road out past Rogers Lake to the "End of the World" it too was washboard, but what great views. Will plan to go back to camp - Mid-week will be preferable.
Good vid Stirling. Certainly a beautiful place. In a few months take a winter trip in the van. Lot of great views then with some snow contrast. Rocks a plenty. Hope you bought some new tubes. All good from East Kentucky USA. Next time.
Glad you noticed that. I just happened to have a few chairs in the van and once I put out an extra chair, imagining it was you the viewer that was there with me, this time it was two chairs.
Great photography Stirling; reminded me of a road trip we did in USA…..loved Sedona although a bit commercialised. First place eating a ‘real’ Sub…..well over a foot long! 🥖🇬🇧
Just found your channel a few months back and subscribed. You have a great attitude on life. I had a 5 speed Grom and though I liked it the tires were just too small for off road. So I ordered a CT. Anyway after a year of waiting (still no CT) I bought a low mileage excellent condition Yamaha XT250. FI model. No regrets. I’m 68 so the big heavy off road bikes are a no go for me. Plus with a 30 inch inseam, low seat height at my age is crucial. I’d love to ride your area but living north of Maine in Canada you are more than a little ways across the continent lol. Thank you for your content.
Nice ride and great scenery. What would you have done if you'd had another flat on the rocky part? Makes me wonder--are you SURE that's the best bike for these adventures?
Hi Sterling, I like the way you explore! I just bought a 2020 Chevy Express 2WD. I would like to buy some of your items you showed. Where did you buy your: 1. Extension Ladder? 2. Front bumper game guard.. not many bumpers for chevy. 3. Your ammo fire can.. Your opinion please. 4. Do you think 4WD is necessary? I know it depends, but your road didn't look like you would need it. I look forward to following you on UA-cam.
Hi Sterling, I enjoy your motorcycle videos. I also own a Honda Trail 125. I think I'd rather be riding my Suzuki DR650 on a lot of those rough trails rather than the 125. The trail 125 just doesn't have the suspension for it.
Is the bike carrier new? I'm thinking about one for the back of my lifted Toyota Hiace Van. The carriers all seem kinda sketchy, I was thinking maybe add 2 more bars that would bolt to the vans hitch and extend out to the carrier at each end if that makes sense? Especially for off roading with the bike on the back. Gonna have to check out Schnebly rd looks pretty cool. Cheers.
Curious that you do 10 times more offroading with a 125 than those who are riding 1250’s. And probably for good reason. Less intimidating. Less complicated. No worries about picking it up. Less likely to drop it. Simple simple - one cylinder and a carburetor. Less fatigue, both physical and mental. Drop it 10 times - no damage versus dropping a1250 and $$$$. The 125 costs the same as the first years’ depreciation on a 1250. Focus on the ride, and not the show off bike. Nicely done.
Thanks for the ride on Schnebly, I miss that area. My wife’s grandparents bought 2 lots along Oak Creek in 1958. They build a house in 1961 and moved there full time. Upon their passing in 1987/88, my FIL and MIL moved into the house and lived there until he passed in 2015. My wife and I lived with them during 2013-15. I had a couple 125cc powered Honda CT70’s and rode Schnebly and all the other Forest Service roads weekly. My brother in law and wife now live in Sedona home. If you’re looking for another adventure, enter off Beaverhead Flat Road and ride to the top of House Mountain, between Sedona and Cottonwood.
I know butler is your sponsor, and also a super nice guy, but it seems a bit of a miss to imply one could follow one of these maps in the outback, they are a great reference point, fantastic for getting an idea of where to go and what you might see, but they are missing far too much detail to actually follow for navigation. It's just not that type of map. I think these maps are an inspiration point that helps focus people's plans for an area or bdr trip. But it's also good to message that you need to plan your actual route on a detailed map or GPS to know where each turn is and see the other trails and roads that are not printed on the butler map. Great video, looks like a fun place!
Not at all :-) the roads on their adventure series map are main roads with no questionable turns. The BDR maps on the other hand are strictly for reference, I agree.
I don’t get the tent on a roof fad. It seems like a lot more effort and cost than a tent on the ground. What if you have to pee often at night and need to negotiate the ladder? What if you set up the roof tent then want to drive somewhere - you’re stuck. People must like them though, otherwise they wouldn’t be popular.
Well, I have all of this amazing roof rack space and I really enjoy sitting up on the roof sometimes. That little bit of elevation allows you to see a lot more and it just feels really nice so I thought I would try sleeping up there.
Sterling, do you edit while on the road, or do you edit once you return from your trip. What software do you use in either scenario? I always enjoy your videography and adventures.
I want to buy a similar van and carry my KTM 890 just as you do. Do you think the bike would be too heavy? I’m thinking a Ford econoline 350 with a robust chassis. Would love your thoughts because this is exactly what I want to start doing! The long 400 plus rides just to get too my destination on the motorcycle is becoming tiresome.
I’m curious, is a bike like the 701 with better suspension brakes and more power easier to ride on that type of road, or the Honda, purely because it’s so light?
I have to be honest sterling, that type of bike doesnt interest me at all. I do like your cinematography though. Thank u for making such good videos with great commentary ☀️
aHa ha ha ha five hundred dollars for a table and two chairs ha ha ha. Roof rack tent setup just to get 5-feet closet to stars that are million of light years away. Ha ha ha. Not to mention all that extra weight. No thanks. Thanks for not showing us where you went on a map. Ha ha ha.
Well, it's for sure now... I'll be retiring early & heading to northern Arizona with a van & a motorcycle. That 2nd campsite was really something.
It's a great place to be. Thanks for watching!
Sorry there are no more vacancies but thanks for stopping by 😂

Thanks for another wonderful video!👍🔥
Cool rig and amazing views, you are blessed in such countryplace 🤙

Brilliantly done as usual, showing off that area of the country.
Another great episode Sterling...
Such a beautiful place.
Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it.
It's amazing where that little bike takes you! I love your setup with your van and your little bike. I'd like to do the same someday.
Another nice production Sterling! Thanks!

Excellent video! On my bucket list to ride! Come on over anytime to San Diego and let’s go riding!
Thanks for another great episode. Whenever I see one of your videos in my subscription list, I skip everything else. Thanks again.
That means a lot, thanks for watching!
Amazing amazing scenery. You are so lucky. Enjoy life is good.
You always do a great job but this was a fantastic video! You are living the dream! Thank you for taking us along.
Awesome ride and scenery, thanks for sharing.
Once again, great video footage. Amazing country with great scenery.
Great video! You're a master at videography, editing, and storytelling.

That was a great video and in my backyard. Schnebly Hill Road has gotten very rough in recent years but the views are still great.
Excellent...

Truly enjoyed as always

That's a nice moped.

Amazing riding area. I'd love to ride my tw200 there. Love the little bikes. Thanks for the great video!
The swag tent on the roof rack is a great idea. I have the same tent and have been thinking of trying it on my next trip.

What happened to self contained travel/camping on the 125 ?

What tyres, pressures and gearing were you using there?
What carrier are you using to carry your motorcycle?
The Trail 90 had nothing over the Trail 125 suspension watching this video.
