- Brilliant weekend away at the lovely Zündstoff Western Motel at Edersee here in Germany. I set off on the friday for a two and a half hour ride to Edersee, and met up with the majourity of the guys. Join me for saturdays local ride out with a BBQ thereafter!

Looks good, in the Belgian Ardennes for a week but the weather was pants today and not so good all week. Lovely place for biking though and will hopefully get into Luxembourg and south west Germany…
I hope the weather is good for Scotland, that can be a bit hit and miss🙄

I love Zündstoff Western Motel, it's such a great place to be, and with great roads in every direction, what's not to like👍😜
The roads did look amazing, we were riding around, Kassel, Paderborn and Hann Munden area quite a bit this year we really did enjoy the quietness of the roads
There's so much to see further inland, and generally much quieter. Thüringewald remains my favourite place to ride👍😎
@@thelikeablerider8800 I think we went through part of Thuringawald to Czech Republic we crossed the border at Karlovy Vary, on way back up at Hrensko up to Meissen, I love Germany, looking forward to your Scottish trip my homeland 👍
@lawriemoto I'm really looking forward to the UK trip, been missing it lately! It's probably the first time in over 20 years that I just going for myself, previously its always been with the family for the annual parent visit.
Another great video.. Got myself a 360... It makes the angles for riding great. That Zündstoff Western Motel looks great fun.
I'd happily bin off gopro and just use 360 camera's, they're so much more reliable, unfortunately the workload is greatly increased!

The roads look great and the surface perfect! I'm just back from a long weekend in the Eiffels/Mosel/Rhine area and many of the roads were terrible. Seem to have gone down hill over the past few years!
I've not been there for a few years, mostly because it's much more busy. Trust me, go more inland and you'll have a great time.

Hi Shaun, after having experienced the stunning B500 and side roads end of May this year, me and the buddies were thinking about a shorter trip in September. As we travel from Belgium, Cochem seems to be a good fit and the Western Hotel in Zundstoff looks like an awesome place. Looking at the roads you've experienced, I was wondering if you might be able to share some of them for planning purposes? Thanks and as always love the vid! Keep'em coming.

I love it here, and that Motel is mega, its a great base camp for a fews days riding, as the mega roads are endless. I've only recently starting planing routes, most of the time I wing it, and let Garmin do the work. I can send you the route that was in these couple of vids, just DM me you email either on Facebook or Instagram and I'll bung you a couple over.

Great roads but I don't think I could ride in a group, but just meet up after the ride. I'm presuming you edit out the "making progress" bits of the ride?
Group riding isn't for everyone, I don't mind it too much, but wouldn't want to do it every time out. Yes I have to be careful what goes in the edit👍🤣

Lovely roads. Just a warning that they appear to be getting ready to spread chippings all over the roads in the Highlands so you may need to keep an eye out on the NC500

Thats the problem with the B500 Schwarzwaldhochstrassse, on the French side its as boring as batshit so French riders also come over to the Black Forest. You shoukd come this way again as they have resurfaced the roads near Kniebis and Seebach, really great roads for kehre und kurve now. Loving the commentary though. We are off to Switzerland again staying at Beverin guesthouse in Glaspas (Tschappina) seriously would advise you to check it out as it is peffect as a base and Willi and Sabina are top notch

@bikemaddan9311 no its an independent audio recorder connected to a separate mic in my helmet, the App just acts as a Bluetooth remote so you don't have to constantly take it out of your pocket to hit record. It's the Zoom F2 BT👍

n, we have done the bf a few years and we are looking to expand on our German expeditions, I watched this video a while ago and we are thinking of uk to edersee for a few maybe 3 nights then thunder daan to the Black Forest base there for a few three nights.. then eff off home again
A) would 3 days be to much for this area?
B) have you and gpx files so we could fill our boots?
C) is early June boil your brains season? We found the bf melt your eyeballs hot the past Julys

Three nights is fine, there's so many great road around there to fill ya boots. June is mostly been good weather over the years, but this year's summer has been truly bizarre up untill now.
