FYI for those that need even shorter shoulder straps, FS recommends the Mass Shoulder straps and the deluxe shoulder pads. Works great.

How does it handle shouldering a rifle/carbine? Look like it covered up a decent amount of the shoulder pocket.

Can someone measure the length of the smallest shoulder strap for me? Trying to find out the size of the one that was issued to me. I don’t know if they gave me a small, medium or large. All I know is that it is too long. Thanks
I can not get this to fit with a belt, its too long to wear this at the same time as a belt, which is tough because I usually use that for a lot of gear.

It varies on department but the most common rule is it is color-coordinated (ie. Multicam + Ranger Green / Wolf Grey + Black)

Hey Prep medic what’s your opinion on using Ringer‘s Solution instead of normal Saline for Blood replacement and to combat dehydration not for the administration of drugs though.

Saline is for cooking Pasta only
All crystaloids have similar effects. You really need blood, but a coloid like hextend will get you farther than ns or lr.
This is 5 years old, but if you have a hemorrhagic shock patient that needs blood you should either avoid using LR as it’ll cause fibrin clots to form when it mixes with blood products, or start a second line to leave as a saline lock.

Just realized this is the vest that SAS, CTSFO, USMC(Raider) are wearing in COD:MW2019 , I wonder if these special forces are using this vest in real world?
Absolutely, they would be allow First Spear products. The Army Rangers use the First Spear's ranger specific helmet cover.

@@brother6819 read the post again. I didn’t say anything about the camouflage. And even if I had, US Army Rangers are allowed to wear complimenting colors such as Coyote and RANGER Green. Almost like it was made for the Army RANGERs.
This particular vest probably isn't very common in SOF. But I've seen very widespread use in law enforcement, most notably the US Marshals Service

The rig looks awesome but im not sure about the shoulder straps and tubes. It just seems like a turn off. Im looking at the midwest armor chaos carrier. Looks almost exactly the same just with different shoulder straps
If you eliminate the tube shoulder straps you effectively get rid of your quick ditch option for the vest. I put the MASS system on my vest now so the shoulders are a bit better.
I still kinda worry someone could get close and rip off the tubes so easily, esp in like a street scuffle situation
I get what you are saying but if they rip off an attachment point it doesn’t really matter. If they are able to get my armor off, manipulate their weapon, and hurt me with it, I did something very very wrong.

When you buy it online, you can actually configure it to your specific size, since everything is detachable.

They're separate total of both is 1200-1400.

I've (Personally) had a lot of issues with 5.11 plate carriers.
5.11 carriers are 💩

Yes, the carrier can fit level IV type plates, as long as the plates themselves are the compatible cut.
Well, you answered my question about First-Spear. I am researching PC's and Armor....I thought their PC price was with soft armor...their web site is not forthcoming with that ESSENTIAL INFORMATION. I agree with SPOKE1183, price point for this rig and a minor 3A outfit...WWAAAAAAAAAYYYY TOOOOO MUCCH $$$$$$!!!!! To top that off, I spoke with Kristin Owens, Customer Service Manager at First Spear, and she answered my query of "Why do you have purchasing restrictions on your gear?" with: "Do to liability reasons we are unable to sell armor, IR, and flotation to non active (sic) Military/Law Enforcement." They are an LLC. A disclaimer or Liability Clause is all that is necessary to defeat or diminish that from happening. Smells like it? It probably isIT!Go NAVY! Beat Army.
So this carrier is showing for $103 on their website, and he’s saying $600 what am I missing here?

That's gonna depend a LOT on department but most if not all won't require you to be ex military to be SWAT
Most departments get Medics from the transporting agency.
Theres really no difference, you dont carry weapons, you dont enter the hot zone, youre not "stacking up".
You hide behind an ambulance while cosplaying.
A few departments (bigger city/county) use LEOs who are medics or EMTs but primarily LEO and they are sworn. In addition to being SWAT members. But thats rare.
Most places just have an ambulance stage a mile away and wait to be called in.
