Nice set up man, I’m firm believer that there is no right or wrong set up as long as it works for you. Our job varies wildly and there is no one set up which fits all situations. For me , I carry my mags on my belt for instance, just how I’m used to it.

Yeah but in many scenario's armour is useless, you just don't know which scenario you're going to face exactly until you're already far beyond picking up anything new.
It is never guaranteed to be useless when heading into a hostile environment, small or large scale, but you might not ever be attacked so your armour was useless, but at the same time, you cannot KNOW you won't be attacked. Same is true with individual pieces, you don't know where you'll be hit but you know damn well you want armour where you think you might be hit if you are attacked. As long as you don't kill your mobility, or make it awkward to reach your gear, no armour is too much armour.
Had a good look at the prominent tool when you showed the older bag of the kit, being an electrician i was actually quite surprised that it looks quite similar to a commonly used tool of mine. On another note, very interesting video, enjoyed it.

I believe There were initially full coverage vest components sent to troops in Afghanistan, but it was to hot for middle east, too restricting,so only certain unit got issue those.Most soldiers got issued with regular iba or iotv set depending on when they got their stuff at rfi. But for police officers,it's not all that hot in the states, and they can always go home after the work when is done so it's not that bad lol

Snacks were a way of life for me on duty. I was a particularly big fan of the Peanut Butter squeeze packets we'd pickup from the roach coach that would deploy to support us on large scale callouts. They would leave a bowl of them out for us and I would load up. High caloric density in a package you can eat on the move with one hand.
Too be fair 90 rounds is more than plenty for most swat related situations, CQC often no more than 1 too 2 gunmen. And the fact your in a squad means packing more ammo just gets in the way. Also the all impotant multi tool that saves everyones ass, no not talking about the knife the ductape my dude that shit is gonna help more than anything! x3

Go to the gym... lift heavy ... do workouts with weighted vests. Lots of core work. And then train in your gear.

You can load up a couple carabiners on your belt and put 2 key rings on that gas mask bang and use it as a drop leg.
