Hey bro love the vid and the information. I am going to do three passes and ebc along with chukkung ri and island peak base camp in October of this year. I have a arc'teryx thorium. Do I need something warmer or will that Jacket do with proper layering inside.
Thank you for the kind words! Honestly, I would say that depends on your cold tolerance. I pretty much always wore a thermal base layer when I wasn't doing any heavy hiking. When moving you'll most likely be fine. During the early mornings the first thing that got cold for me was my feet. I had to use multiple feet warmers when I wasn't actively walking to keep them warm while I was waiting for the sun to rise.
@TravelingPancake honestly I like the fact you were brutally honest about the situation up there. I did three high altitude treks at the start of the year. My legs and body was fine. The only problem was my fingers. They get cold really easily. I think layer wise I would be good thanks to the experience of the previous hikes. But it's definitely gonna be a long hike which is something which I am looking foward to :) thanks again for the amazing content!!
Lovely video! What time of year was this?
Thank you! I recorded this in May of this year
