- The Pittsburgh Steelers are doing their homework before the 2024 NFL Draft. The team has 30 official visits by players but West Virginia Mountaineers are considered a “local” visit.
Steeler Nation has popular, Zach Frazier very high on their list of wants. One player who may slide under the radar is cornerback Beanie Bishop Jr. He led the nation with 24 pass breakups including 4 interceptions. Bishop has punt retuning skills & get hands.
He is a smaller prospect from a smaller school. This, along with, playing at 3 different schools have kept him out of draft boards.
Now he is getting some 7th round talent talk because of times he ran at the Big 12 Pro Day.
His 4.39 in the 40 yard dash & 23.49 mph was the fastest of the event!
It looks like Omar Khan & Mike Tomlin are looking for more speed from the defense next year with signings like linebacker Patrick Queen & cornerback Donte Jackson. Maybe this speedy slot corner will wear the black & gold.
I personally love his interviews. He sounds very well prepared & appreciates trust given to him by coaches. Love his smile too!
One of the cool things I came along while building this evaluation was in the comment section under the @PGHSteelersNow thread on X. One of the commenters said Bishop read to their daughter’s kindergarten class. Pretty cool!

The NFL Draft hype HYPE Hype forces franchises into making draft picks to placate the fanbase rather than SOLID long term decisions.
I know it’s uncomfortable but the team may intensify their gambling 3 year decisions. That is why it is hard for me to see them going OL in the first unless idk dude. Long term is trenches, one year before anything real good. Either side of the line you can really take this talk. Coolest thing about this draft is, WE DONT HAVE A CLUE.
