I think it’s so important that the verse we highlight for different themes are actually within context. Good point !!!
I like your take on the prayer Bible. I haven't had mine long really....but I usually use Bible verses that stood out to me when I read my Bible. And you pointed that out. I believe the most in following the Holy Spirit's guidance in everything and I have a sense that's what you're doing. Especially when you said you felt when you read a prayer out of your other Bible and felt it limited you more. To me that lines up more with following the Holy Spirit's guidance. I wouldn't do a prayer Bible otherwise. I don't even write any prayers out that I would read over and over. In my regular Bible I may write praises and thank you's to God but I don't read those for prayers. I don't believe in reading other people's prayers as my own prayers. I believe this is all part of my relationship with the Lord and He is glad to hear our own words, our own hearts, from each one of us individually. But praying the Word of God is so vital in our living our life for the Lord.
I'm going to share a brief writing of Andrew Murray, a man who walked with the Lord in the 1800's.

Prayer and the Word of God are inseparable and should always go together in the quiet time of the inner chamber. In His Word, God speaks to me; in prayer, I speak to God. If I simply pray without using God's Word, I am apt to use my own words and thoughts. To really give prayer its power, I must take God's thoughts from His Word and present them before Him. Then I am enabled to pray according to God's Word ( & God's will). How indispensable God's Word is for all true prayer!

That's just a portion. If anyone wants to learn more about God and prayer, look for Andrew Murray's books. He points to God and gives foundations but never any cookie cutter teachings.

I love that Andrew Murray quote! I read something from George Muller that he did his Bible study by reading the Bible and praying - just opening it up and using it as a guide for prayer. I loved that.
@@findwondrousthings Amen. George Mueller was another man who walked with God. I'm thankful we have them as examples. A. W. Tozer as well...and others. They certainly didn't follow men....but followed Jesus.
I just edited this because I wanted to tell you that I made a little booklet with those words by Andrew Murray and attached it to the inside of my prayer Bible. It seemed appropriate.

My desire is to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, especially when it comes to my personal prayer life. I have Andrew Murray’s book titled Absolute Surrender and it’s has changed my life. I love how this channel encourages us to seek God for ourselves and to use scriptures in the context of our personal relationship with Christ and not through following a preset format by popular UA-cam channels

This turned out beautiful! ❤ When I saw the trend, I knew it was something I wanted to to do and you always show us options that I feel I can do and that I will use. I love that you say to go slow and read the scriptures, gaining context for what we want to tab for our prayers. Now I just need a video on how to paint my Bible! 🎉😂

I agree about going slow. I believe that a prayer Bible is a living work that is never truly "finished" as yo ucome across passages that speak to you through your Bible study.
I love how you wrote your prayers in the other bible and can look back 🙏🏼 and see the season you were in n see responses where you can also write a praise report. The prayer Bible is awesome love how neat and clean it looks. I started putting mine together also I added 3 D stickers near certain scriptures that work as affirmation for me to remind me of what God says n who God says I am ❤ great job tyfs

Thank you, I'm so glad! Yes I did! I just used regular acrylic pain - then I used a clear sealer I bought at Hobby Lobby. But nothing special/fancy. It is leather so it might crack, but that doesn't bother me. I then used a paint pen for the lettering.

I just made my own prayer Bible. So I used a Bible I had and added the tabs. I made the tabs. I have them in my shop digitally right now.

daily is for daily prayers - which anything could be a daily prayer honestly. But I did Psalm 23, Psalm 25 and the Lord's Prayer

It's the He Reads Truth Bible. The one for men haha, but it has charts and timelines, where the she reads truth has devotionals.

The binder is sadly from a company that no longer is in business. But hobby lobby and amazon have a5 binders - which is the size I use.
Do you only have one verse for each section. I have 10 verses that mean something to me for each section to pray over so its not the same verse every day.
