I’ve just finished this wonderful hat, the tutorial was so easy to follow and the project super easy to make… Thank you for taking the time to publish this video, it’s really fab 🥰🥰🥰
Hello, after making your corner. You chain 4 and skip 3 stitches. In the space between the treble crochet and double crochet cluster you made, place 3 dc in that space. Skip 3 stitches and repeat it by adding 3 dc clusters in each space. To make a corner, place 3 dc in the corner chain 2 space. Chain 2 and place another 3 dc in the same space. Skip 3 stitches and place 3 dc clusters in the next cluster space. Repeat this all around. Once you reach the final corner, place 3 dc, ch 2 and 3 dc. Slip stitch to the first chain 4 that you made. Hope this helps. ❤️
Thank you for sharing this beautiful pattern. Question though, if you want the brim bigger, do you add extra rows (if so how many increases), or do you use a bigger hook size? Thank you.
Yes it will get floppy. But my other crochet hat tutorial stand up pretty well even when washed. You can just change the colors to match the sunflower one instead 🌻
for the brim, do you add a half-double stitch in the 2-chain space? i feel like i’m doing something wrong. in my last stitches for 6hdc inc, 3hdcs are left instead of 6. i hope you can answer
I feel like I have a bigger head than others. If I were to boarder a single crochet in each granny square to make them a little bit bigger. Do you think that would be ok. Or would it make it TOO TOO BIG of a hat. I know the granny squares stretch but this is my first time making a hat :) thank you for this awesome tutorial
hi! will he squares be too small if I don't make the second row of each square? i'm afraid the hat will be too big but i also don't want it to be too small
@@corinnemccallum6094 once you single crochet them together and stretch it out, it should be around 20-22 inches! You can always add more rows if you want your sunflower square to be bigger. 😊
Usually this happens because of your tension and how tight you pull on the yarn. I suggest loosening up your tension. Also blocking the granny square do help
in the brim, we have to stitch 6 hdcs and then 2 hdcs in the same loop and then just repeat this by adding 6 hdcs and 2 HFCS again and again for 4 rounds right?
@@harshitakaur2445 yes to both of your questions! The back loop only is only for the first round, it's creates a nice border and a ridge to differentiate the hat body from the hat brim

For what size do you think it would fit?
:)
Had some difficulty but this was an amazing pattern! I finally made my first non-plushie creation and it looks awesome!
So beautiful!!
That beautiful finishing mine now 😊
sorry i'm new in crocheting can someone tell me how many ply of yarn is best for bucket hat?
LOVE IT!! Thank you for including time stamps!!
Love you🥺💓

FABULOUSNESS 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻great 1st tutorial
Excellent tutorial
Hi😊, just finished watching your tutorial. May I ask how to add more rows on the sunflower square? Thank you so much in advance♥️

Lindo parabéns ❤😊
Hi wanted to make this for my 2 year old! If I use a smaller hook would it work ? Xx
Thank you for sharing this beautiful pattern. Question though, if you want the brim bigger, do you add extra rows (if so how many increases), or do you use a bigger hook size? Thank you.
Yes you increase the row. I suggest placing a hdc increase in each stitch
Thank you..fun 🌻
If I don't have a 4.25mm hook, should I use a 4.0mm hook or a 4.5mm hook? Thanks - can't wait to make this!!
I suggest sizing up then! A 4.50mm or a 5.00mm works fine. 😊
How well does this stand up to washing? Does it get too floppy?
Yes it will get floppy. But my other crochet hat tutorial stand up pretty well even when washed. You can just change the colors to match the sunflower one instead 🌻
@@loveshorestudio thanks for the update and reply! I’ll go check that one out.

Yes you add a hdc in each ch-2 space. Sorry I haven’t clarified that
Can you tell me the measurements of your granny square
I feel like I have a bigger head than others. If I were to boarder a single crochet in each granny square to make them a little bit bigger. Do you think that would be ok. Or would it make it TOO TOO BIG of a hat.
I know the granny squares stretch but this is my first time making a hat :) thank you for this awesome tutorial
Yes! You can add another row of sc stitches if you want to make the squares a little bigger. 😊
Can I ask why do you change the hook size?
Probably for the stitches to be more tight
My sister got a big head how can I make it bigger if needed?
Loosen the tension by going up one size with your crochet hook and crocheting an extra row of single crochet for the granny squares
How do your ends not come apart with how little you cut them? I’m so worried about that I make them huge and sew them in forever Lol
How do I keep my granny square from becoming ruffly
Hello, I suggest controlling your tension and not crocheting it too tight. 💛
Also, you can block your squares :)
How much i would sell it ?
hi! will he squares be too small if I don't make the second row of each square? i'm afraid the hat will be too big but i also don't want it to be too small
No it won't, cuz mine came out perfectly fitted..
Can i use a dk cotton yarn .. or if dk should i use 2 strands?
Yes you can use DK yarn!
@@loveshorestudio thanks alot will definitely try this one... God bless
What size are the finished squares?
They’re about 4 1/2 inch! When crocheted together, the circumference of the bucket hat should be about 20-22 inches. 💛
Thanks so much!
Is that right tho? If they are 4 1/2”, the circumference would be only 18”.
@@corinnemccallum6094 once you single crochet them together and stretch it out, it should be around 20-22 inches! You can always add more rows if you want your sunflower square to be bigger. 😊
I can’t get my squares to lay flat 😢
Usually this happens because of your tension and how tight you pull on the yarn. I suggest loosening up your tension. Also blocking the granny square do help
Does the chain 2 count as a stitch?
The chain 2 does not count as a stitch! 😊
@@loveshorestudio ok thank you 😊

and after the first hdc round we dont have to work in the back loop right? we have to work in the v?
@@harshitakaur2445 yes to both of your questions!
The back loop only is only for the first round, it's creates a nice border and a ridge to differentiate the hat body from the hat brim
Hi, will milk cotton work as well?
Yes! Any weight 4 yarn works 😊
Does 4 means ply? 4ply yarn? Thanks in advance
"4" refers to the weight, or thickness. So a weight 6 would be used to make those crochet plushies and what's not
Love it, but can't see letters.
How much yarn did you use of each colour?
1 skein each color! About 280 yards of each color is fine. 😊
@@loveshorestudio Thanks a lot 🥰 Can’t wait to make this!
How many grams of yarns does this need?
About 70-80 yards for each color
Ciao si può avere la traduzione in italiano??
