One of the best values out there. They have new one coming with a small second hand dial and a different date window that I’m really liking. Thanks for the great review!
It’s a great Bertucci homage. I have this Boderry ( brown dial with blue hands variant ). The titanium band is a bit of a hair puller and I did have some issues with the crown not re engaging the movement when pushed in after unscrewing it and adjusting the time. Watch head was returned to Boderry and it was replaced. The replacement seems to be a bit better. The watch head and design is very nice, as I expected being a copage of the bertucci field watch. Overall it’s a good looking watch and nice and light. If you can get it cheap on one of the Ali sales it’s a good pick up. I see they have released a new colour - gemstone green colour dial. That looks stunning and would have been my choice if it was availability when I purchased mine over 4 months ago. Overall 7/10…..
Thanks for providing this review, James. I have 3 Boderry models: the titanium Voyager, the bronze Voyager, and the titanium Landmaster. I replaced the bracelet on the Landmaster with a leather strap; and wasn't keen on the leather strap NATO-style strap that came with the bronze Voyager, replacing it with a custom leather strap, as well. All-in-all, they are excellent watches for the price!
Got mine quite some time ago. Changed the strap out for a tan/camel color for a little different look. Do really like the watch and comfort and feel is really nice.
Nice reveiw of a watch I've been eyeing up for a while. Recessing the crystal behind the bezel, wish more would do that (seiko do with some of their's, samurai etc) added protection, scratched bezel well that's patina n life, damaged crystal, disaster. Really was interested in the bronze cased green dialled version but just couldn't get over the horrible white date window but on this version, perfect. Yes it closely resembles a Bertucci, but all in all its a cracking watch at an affordable price. Cheers James.
I had the same views as you regarding titanium. My Pelagos 39 made me appreciate titanium. Ordinarily, 39mm+ watches in steel hurt my wimpy wrist, and the titanium allows me to wear my 39mm Pelagos without pain. However, like you, I do prefer the look of stainless steel.
Good review, this watch is a fairly close homage of Bertucci watches, the main difference is the twisted lugs and removable spring bars. I would prefer to buy a Bertucci, the tougher quartz movements suit a field watch well, and the fixed bars are the USP.
Controversal take; i think this watch would better suit being quartz powered like the original. It just looks grab and go adventure ready, like a luminox or gshock is, and not a watch i really feel like id need or want to go through the setting ruitual with too often. Also would be even lighter, and disappear for hiking or camping etc. Boderry nailed the dial better though. Bertucci dials looksl too flat and cheap.
Nice James. I reviewed this a while back and its pretty decent...not so sure about the new Ladmaster though...I pretty much destroyed the titanium bracelet re-sizing it. What a b***er it was!
these are good watches. have you seen the aussie HZ watch? has a Ronda quartz and is titanium. I have one, very light, quite like it as a fast gotta get out the door quick GADA
Finally I’ve been able to get hands on with this Boderry Voyager

Oooooh that sounds good. I’ll have to keep an eye out for it.

I’ve been tempted by the bronze too. Works well with the overall design
I love my boderry checkmate, limited SeaTurtle bronze, and asymmetry chronograph
I like the idea of a bronze version. Sounds great.
@WATCHingJames yeah i know they have some non limited bronze sea turtles as well as the admiral gmt and voyager

Great review of a really nice watch, I have it in the pink dial. WRT it being a homage it does look very similar to the Bertucci field watch!

I have Bertucci and I'm wondering about buying this one as well and compare.
I need to admit Bertucci is only quartz in my so called collection.
Thank you. I knew it would likely be an “inspired by” watch.
I love titanium on a watch, nice watch.
Thanks for WATCHing
Nice! To me it looks a lot better on the black strap 😀
Thanks mate

Hahahahaha. I did not even try to resize the bracelet. Looked like a challenge

What are the advantages of titanium over stainless steel ?
For me. Nothing really. However it is significantly lighter that steel and a lot of people like that.
Titanium is more hypoallergenic than stainless for some people.
it's lightyears ahead of seiko
