What I like about you Jason is that you do, rather than just talk! Thank you.😊

I watched a catastrophic documentary on a family that included the couple, their child and dog. They went out just for a day hike and never went back home. If they had that gear and knowledge that you share in your videos then they all would be alive today. Very tragic.

Wow. You were so young! You have definitely come a long way since then my friend! Your "day hiker pack" contents have really gotten to be a lot leaner, for sure. The more you know, the less you need to carry.

That’s right! That was five years ago. I was going through all my old footage and realized I never edited it into a video. Today was the day!

You only look in your early to mid twenties in that. I looked older than that in my mid twenties. Must be your positive attitude that keeps your youthful appearence . although if I shaved my beard off I would probably look late to maybe mid twenties

What’s your most valuable item that you carry in your
    Day Pack/Get Home Bag?

Thats a toss up between pictures of my niece's and nephews and God children, or a Bible. Either in a zip lock then a small dry bag. If you don't have the will to survive, a bag of the best tools in the world won't help you, in my opinion.

I'm a senior lady and since I would already be wearing my sun hat, my pistol and phone in a belly band it would have to be water.

Yeah they are expensive , but the lightning strike fire starter , is still one of the best designed devises ever made . People seem to have forgotten how good they are . Make things easy in a hard situation . German M31 mess kit . A pistol . Hopefully you never need it .

I don’t recommend it. It already died. Unfortunately, I don’t know of one that offers longevity. I can ask around.
