Incredible New Generation DAF XG+ for Sligo Haulage

We had the privilege of specifying a very special New Generation DAF XG+ to celebrate Sligo Haulage & Distribution Ltd.'s 25-years in a business.
It is a vehicle which would go on to take pride of place at the Fleet Transport awards on the same night Sligo Haulage won Irish Haulier of the Year.

I drove a brand new DAF 2800 DKS back in 1977. It was an innovation then, along with the Scania and Volvo; the Fuller Roadranger was a fantastic transmission; it was a great unit to drive but I think I'd need a day's tuition to drive an XG although from what I've read and heard it practically drives itself.

I have driven many trucks over the years. Volvo, Iveco, M.A.N., DAF , Merc's even Bedford TK -- SM -- RM. A.E.C. The company I work for has bought 33 new XG plus with many more on order. I like them very much, I thought the previous XF was O'k. The XG are brilliant. A worthy winner truck of the year.

After 25 year we will get the best vehicle available the biggest and best…and then you go and buy a DAF ??
