The problem is not female characters per se. The real problem is how these female characters are written. Female characters can be just as great and likeable than male characters without them making male characters look like idiots and clowns. We have had plenty of great female characters. Princess Leia and Padme Amidala from Star Wars, Sarah Connor from Terminator and Ripley from Alien but now the woke cancer has ruined modern entertainment.
Independent characters aren't always the best. Co-dependent characters and team works was a theme in the MCU that demonstrated how doing things on their own lead to more harm than good and that it was the characters, male and female alike, fighting together that lead to victory.
Independent characters can be good, except MCU's female characters are NOT independent characters, their "personality" and "abilities" require dumb and incompetent men to play off of to really work.

Everything that Captain Marvel did could've been done by the other Avengers. Saving Tony Stark, could've just had Tony save himself. Destroying Thanos' ships, Thor did that in Infinity War. Taking on Thanos, could've just given a moment to Hulk and have him rematch Thanos. She didn't have an arc, or major stake in the story. Why was she in Endgame?
Or Scarlett Witch could use her powers to destroy Thanos’ ships or Antman could’ve just used the tech in his suit that makes him gigantic like in Captain America: Civil War and destroyed Thanos’ ships with his own hands by snapping them in half like they were pencils. My favorite Superhero used to be X-23 untill they made her into just the female version of Wolverine, then it was Hope Summers and they have pretty much are making her into Female Cable (her father) with other powers at least. so, as someone who is not a fan of the mcu and haven't watched most of the movies, I find it very strange when I see characters like valkyrie who are supposed to carry on the mantle of old beloved characters, absolutely humiliate and destroy the beloved characters on screen. and the writers expect the audience to like this new character? I find that incredibly bizarre.
This is just one more reason why I am more of a DC fan than marvel in DC projects you don't have to worry that they will do a bait and switch unlike marvel. Marvel keeps telling us we are getting shows and movies about marvel characters that we care about but really it's about setting it up for someone else just like in hawkeye, Black Widow, etc. When DC tells you you are getting a batman movie it's about batman or a aquaman movie it's about aquaman with other people being side characters.

I just watched a movie last night that was a nice good throwback to traditional vampires and not the sparkly gay vampires like twilight the movie was called the invitation with a light skinned mixed black white very attractive woman who was the protagonist of the movie and I was so impressed with what she did through the entire movie and there was no bullshit virtue signaling identity politics messaging to ruin the movie that's how you make a strong female lead Without fucking it all up she was awesome the movie is fantastic I highly recommend it it's called the invitation

Originally I disagreed with you on Valkery (I hope I spelled it right) because I thought she was a great female character and wasn't being pushed for any woke agenda. But after watching Love an Thunder I ended up thinking maybe you were right about Valkery, I originally liked her but now I hate her.
20:50 I had an issue with that scene when I first saw it and I was a hardcore SJW at the time. I had been engrossed in the final battle up to that point, and when the camera slowed down the action to pan over the female characters I was just like "Oh this is the female empowerment scene, I approve". The message of women being strong and able to look out for each other was one I agreed with, but it exposed the "hand of the author" and reminded me that I was watching a movie when all that came before had done a fantastic job of making me forget that.
At this point I wonder and ask myself why is The Thunderbolts movie getting green lit. I mean the actor who played Thunderbolt Ross just died a couple of months ago. Bucky Barnes is getting the rehabilitated help he needs and deserves. Alexi aka The Russian Captain America somewhat had a new leaf of a character change in Black Widow. And The Abomination has been locked up for years even during the time when both The Snap and Blip occurred. And who are The Thunderbolts team going to fight against that will resonate with Phases 4 and 5 of the MCU? Mary Jane was really a jerk to Peter in the second film with how petty she acted towards him just for missing her damn play (apologies for the use of profanity right there, but that’s evidently just a sign of my frustration with her in that film) and not even trying to sympathize or even help him with the crisis he’s going through of multitasking with college and work and rubbing off her engagement to her friends’ boss’s son only to literally walk out on him on their wedding day rather than just simply telling him she doesn’t want to marry him anymore and avoiding WASTING all that money that was obviously set up for their wedding; after all, weddings are definitely not that cheap. So I’m going to have to disagree with you on Mary Jane being a strong female character with good writing, at least in regards to the second film. (While her romantic dialogue with Peter was weak in the first film, at least it’s better than how she was handled in the second film.)

The issue isn't just the new characters. Marvel has been struggling with the old characters as well. They seem to not have known what to do with Thor or Ant man or many of these older characters.
MCU is done for me. I noticed since Disney started to own Marvel the movies were falling into Disney's political agenda. They did the same with Lucafilm. The new Star Wars trilogy was the worst. And End Game was boring because they fell into the classic quick fix for any problem is to go back in time. Big problem and lazy story writing. And they changed the story plot about population control and not about Thanos trying hard to impress Death which is the original story. Then to make things worst they throw in the whole Multiverse thing. So now when characters die, they can come back as different versions and different actors playing them. Smh. The issue isn't whether they should use Adam or Carol. They needed to get Carol's introduction done well and they just weren't able to nail it. The Marvels feels like an overcorrection without Marvel realizing why people took issue with the first film in the first place.

No. I think the villains should've been an actual female villain based Natasha Romanov's rogue galleries like Headmistress, Red Widow or the Iron Madian (Who was actually present in the movie but got watered down as protagonist) rather than some gender swapped Taskmaster that served no purpose in the movie.

Everything that Captain Marvel did could've been done by the other Avengers. Saving Tony Stark, could've just had Tony save himself. Destroying Thanos' ships, Thor did that in Infinity War. Taking on Thanos, could've just given a moment to Hulk and have him rematch Thanos. She didn't have an arc, or major stake in the story. Why was she in Endgame?

My favorite Superhero used to be X-23 untill they made her into just the female version of Wolverine, then it was Hope Summers and they have pretty much are making her into Female Cable (her father) with other powers at least. so, as someone who is not a fan of the mcu and haven't watched most of the movies, I find it very strange when I see characters like valkyrie who are supposed to carry on the mantle of old beloved characters, absolutely humiliate and destroy the beloved characters on screen. and the writers expect the audience to like this new character? I find that incredibly bizarre.

This is just one more reason why I am more of a DC fan than marvel in DC projects you don't have to worry that they will do a bait and switch unlike marvel. Marvel keeps telling us we are getting shows and movies about marvel characters that we care about but really it's about setting it up for someone else just like in hawkeye, Black Widow, etc. When DC tells you you are getting a batman movie it's about batman or a aquaman movie it's about aquaman with other people being side characters.

I just watched a movie last night that was a nice good throwback to traditional vampires and not the sparkly gay vampires like twilight the movie was called the invitation with a light skinned mixed black white very attractive woman who was the protagonist of the movie and I was so impressed with what she did through the entire movie and there was no bullshit virtue signaling identity politics messaging to ruin the movie that's how you make a strong female lead Without fucking it all up she was awesome the movie is fantastic I highly recommend it it's called the invitation

These are just some of the badass female characters that had flaws, struggles to overcome and how they managed to deal with their shortcomings and after Endgame everything has gone downhill for Marvel and it is now known as the M-SHE-U and I do not need to say anything else related to what is formerly known as the MCU. Also Noms we were correct at what She-Hulk is going to do with Daredevil and not only are they going to destroy the Netflix version but give him a "rebirth" in that upcoming disaster show called Daredevil: Reborn(CHRIST THAT TITLE IS VOMIT INDUCING!!!!!!!!!).
Also before Blade even came out it was thought off in Hollywood at the time that doing a superhero film was considered career suicide and Wesley Snipes was just coming off from his late 80s and early 90s high in mid-card actions flicks and he said "I'll do it" and it turned out to be a badass film with edginess, blood, guts and a different look in vampire lore from the lens of a comic book character.
Also that Thanos power stone punching Captain Marvel out of that film will forever be my favorite scene in Endgame as well.

20:50 I had an issue with that scene when I first saw it and I was a hardcore SJW at the time. I had been engrossed in the final battle up to that point, and when the camera slowed down the action to pan over the female characters I was just like "Oh this is the female empowerment scene, I approve". The message of women being strong and able to look out for each other was one I agreed with, but it exposed the "hand of the author" and reminded me that I was watching a movie when all that came before had done a fantastic job of making me forget that.

And The Abomination has been locked up for years even during the time when both The Snap and Blip occurred. And who are The Thunderbolts team going to fight against that will resonate with Phases 4 and 5 of the MCU? Disney and Marvel haven’t thought out this whole process and are just going with anything that sticks to the wall. And that one thing sticking in the wall is a smelly pile of crap.

I will not tolerate Shane Black slander! And I will defend Iron Man 3 to my dying day as a film that chose to be a character exploration of Tony Stark the man and not Iron Man. I love the Tony x Potts romance. And even the Mandarin twist I'm not too upset about. Baiting the United States government to believe such an over-the-top cliche of a foreign terrorist existed, only to be a Trojan Horse to hide to real villain in plain sight? I can think of few better commentaries on U.S foreign policy and the failed war on terror. Granted, it did come at the expense of using an established character like the Mandarin as a mouthpiece for an idea and a plot twist. And I'll admit, part of my love might be because of a lack of familiarity with the character but plenty of familarty with Shane Black films. Predator 2017 is still absolute garbage though.

I agree. Iron Man 3 isn’t that bad of a MCU film, rather more an Iron Man movie sequel. I rather watch this over Dr. Strange, Guardians Of The Galaxy: Volume 2, Black Panther, The Eternals, Iron Man 2, Black Widow, Thor: The Dark World, Ant-Man & The Wasp, and Captain Dishwasher/Marvel. I’m just saying tho.

Mary Jane was really a jerk to Peter in the second film with how petty she acted towards him just for missing her damn play (apologies for the use of profanity right there, but that’s evidently just a sign of my frustration with her in that film) and not even trying to sympathize or even help him with the crisis he’s going through of multitasking with college and work and rubbing off her engagement to her friends’ boss’s son only to literally walk out on him on their wedding day rather than just simply telling him she doesn’t want to marry him anymore and avoiding WASTING all that money that was obviously set up for their wedding; after all, weddings are definitely not that cheap. So I’m going to have to disagree with you on Mary Jane being a strong female character with good writing, at least in regards to the second film. (While her romantic dialogue with Peter was weak in the first film, at least it’s better than how she was handled in the second film.)

Also, it's only been 3-4 years since studios have started making female lead movies so of course it would take some time for them to learn the best way to make one.

Hey Nomz this off-topic but how do you feel about the current fiasco with 343 mismanaging Halo to such a ridiculous degree? Me personally I’m willing to consider Halo 4, 5 and Infinite as non-canon at this point, it’s almost the video game equivalent to the SW sequel trilogy as a disaster.
Well no because the outrage isn't about infinite being a bad game its about it being incomplete, I agree their management sucks and the Halo community has every right to be pissed but I don't agree with all the phony moral grandstanding happening at this latest development "Halo is dead" and "I'm done with Halo" is just the current flavour of the month, we've been here since Reach and every time they all come back (or most do), Infinite released in a better state than Fallout 76 No Mans Sky and arguably Destiny 2 if those games still have an audience then Halo is in no trouble whatsoever, its all talk, all noise and as soon as chief DLC drops not to mention Forge Custom Games Etc Etc they're gonna come back so I'm really not fussed about it.

We want well known loved Marvel Characters..Phase 3 had this Phase 4 did not.
The issue isn't just the new characters. Marvel has been struggling with the old characters as well. They seem to not have known what to do with Thor or Ant man or many of these older characters.

MCU is done for me. I noticed since Disney started to own Marvel the movies were falling into Disney's political agenda. They did the same with Lucafilm. The new Star Wars trilogy was the worst. And End Game was boring because they fell into the classic quick fix for any problem is to go back in time. Big problem and lazy story writing. And they changed the story plot about population control and not about Thanos trying hard to impress Death which is the original story. Then to make things worst they throw in the whole Multiverse thing. So now when characters die, they can come back as different versions and different actors playing them. Smh. So you no longer need to feel bad about anyone dying cause they will come back. I'll stop for now cause I can do a whole book on all the bad things the MCU did and continues to do. The issue isn't whether they should use Adam or Carol. They needed to get Carol's introduction done well and they just weren't able to nail it. The Marvels feels like an overcorrection without Marvel realizing why people took issue with the first film in the first place.
