I used to work security and I had a co worker who owned one of these. They asked if I knew how to take it apart. Now I'll be honest, I had never seen a hi point at the time ('12). Thought the pistol was weird looking. I couldn't even figure out how to take it apart. Lol. I wish I had seen this back then. Would of helped out a lot.
I just got one of these in a lot with some other guns. Took it apart with help from your video. (Thanks by the way) However, instead of the double spring that you showed at 1:44 mine only had a single spring. Do you happen to know if this means that the other spring was lost by the previous owner, or if there has been more than one design with different numbers of springs? I don't see a manufacturing date, but the rear sight is a ghost ring if that helps to date it.
It's very possible...I'm not too versed on the different versions so I don't know if they ever had ones with only one. Best thing is to contact the manufacturer.

The early model C9 had a single large firing pin spring.
