It is unimportant how you arrange your family schedule. In my second marriage I did not cook more than 2 meals in 17 year. My husband cooked everything!..Even when I did not work. I also did not do dishes or clean the house. He did all of the gardening..car repairs..building sheds...It worked for us.

Very true, and some people get more confused than others, by anyone who doesn't fit into a particular pigeonhole or shackle that they assume should be shackling someone else. The ones who are most obsessed with pigeonholing are the ones who need the most help, cognitively, although they often are oblivious to their own cognitive shortcomings

Many years ago my brother in law had a cousin who had a health issue. His wife had a great job and enjoyed it. They decided she would work and he would raise their girls and take care of the home. Great situation, she worked, came home and he had the house clean, meals done and did everything he could do. Wonderful solution for the whole family. I have a feeling you don't even think of how you earn a living as working, you always sound like you enjoy it so much. Bet you would be bored to tears staying home! Wonderful to have your daughter at home. All too soon they are gone out of the nest, so enjoy every moment with her!

We divide and conquer all our household tasks - sometimes I am making an income, sometimes he is, sometimes we both are. But we are always working towards goals together and accomplishing family tasks ❤ This is one of the comments I get on my videos that bugs me the most … I don’t understand why people can’t understand this 😂🤦‍♀️

I’m grateful for my life as it is. I was a single mom on a low income but my daughter told me one day (after she was grown up) that she had everything she wanted and never felt like she was doing without when she was growing up. She always understood working with a budget and saving for emergencies or unexpected expenses. I think people are more curious than nosey when they ask about your husband.

I learned then that every household is different and should run according to their specific situations and circumstances. They both have had great success in doing what works for them and not trying to fit in society's idea of what a household should or should not do to function well. When i was about 12 or so, my Dad sat me down and said: Mom and I try to share everything together.... Sometimes I cook, some times Mom cooks. Sometimes I will bring you to swim lessons, sometimes Mom will bring you... Everything that my parents did was shared. So, as I grew up and still today, I have a more egalitarian view of marriage -- shared responsibility not so much the Trad. Wife view. Be a family, share, get stuff done.✅✅✅

You shouldn’t be asked about your personal finances and life. You have a sweet heart and explained it well and thankful for your attitude and positivity.

Dawn, your humor is great! I will be married 48 years in June, and my husband and I both worked while raising 3 kids. My job was very close to my kids school, so I didn’t miss class parties or functions for them. I have been blessed with these things and I know it is all blessings from God. Just remember, your business is your business❤

No one would ask these questions of a male UA-camr - “does your wife work”… can you imagine the outrage? I don’t see any difference here ❤

Your life is more typical now a days!!! My dad use to drive my mom(a children’s psychologist) to all her home visits for safety! I also noticed your husband filming you, that is work! He does work!

I know you make funny points about you talking a lot. Did you ever think that’s a gift from God? It actually is…many people are shy or at a loss for words. Your words bring humor, joy, and inspiration to many. I’m taking early retirement due to health issues so you are so right that working is a blessing because you have the health to do so.

Great share. I love that you have found what works for you and that you give God all the glory. It's really not anyone's business either way. No one asks Joel if I am contributing, just because we follow the more traditional path. You shouldn't have to explain just because it isn't traditional. And just like us, just because we buy food that is for our son, doesn't mean that he isn't contributing, so people need to stop making assumptions about whether they are or are not contributing.
