Let's Make PINEAPPLE JAM ~ THE EASY WAY!

- Today we are making Easy Pineapple Jam. I am using fresh pineapple but you can use
two 20oz. cans of pineapple in the place of fresh pineapple. Remember to drain the juice from
1 CAN ONLY! Then follow the rest of the steps as guided. Remember to get a copy of the
Ball Guide To Canning Book as a reference and to make many other wonderful recipes.
I Hope This Helps!
Have you ever tried Strawberry, pineapple, rhubarb jam? It is simply divine. My grandfather came up with the concoction back in the early 70's, while teaching my older sister how to cook the Italian dishes and preparing a garden and preserving foods. He would take one sister every year when they turned 16 and taught them everything about farming and storing food. My grandmother would teach them embroidery, sewing and crochet.
I love this about your family! Thx for sharing.
I make strawberry/rhubarb and strawberry/rhubarb/blueberry jam...numnumnumnummy
Isn't that wonderful... we have lost this art, the passing of life skills to our youngsters.
I miss rhubarb so much.
@@gatorweis2196 Sounds great might have to give it a try. Thanks for sharing.
I DID IT!!!! I just finished making the pineapple jam!!! I was hesitant to do it on my glass top stove, but now I am over it. I’m getting ready to go on a canning spree! 😀😂 I hope I can find more jars. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! 😀❤️😀❤️🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Your jelly/jam looks wonderful! Next time you have a nice organic pineapple, throw those peelings and core into a jar filled with water, add some sugar (I used a half cup of brown sugar) and I also threw in 3 whole cloves then cover very lose (I used a coffee filter with string). Set the jar on the back of your kitchen counter and stir it every day. The smell in your home will be intoxicating, I promise. Then once it passes about a week, try tasting it. If it is vinegar, drain off the solids and jar up the vinegar. It is amazing on salad but really tastes nice just to sip for the probiotics. Google it and you will not be disappointed. You can also use it to clean, kill ants, and wash store bought veg.
One week, vinegar? Mine take 30 days to get to 3.5 acidity with fruit scrap vinegar and bubbling probiotics. However, with pineapple scraps, I keep getting cam yeast that just over runs the mixture. Apple scrap vinegar is only one that cam yeast doesn't attack.
@@debodeeful I love making tepache from my pineapple rinds. Try using Starsan (found on Amazon or in brewing stores) to clean your jar prior to starting your ferments. I have had almost no fermentation fails since cleaning my jars with Starsan first.
I have been watching homestead channels,, I love the fact that someone that looks like me is doing a homesteading channel. My best to you and your.
And I love the fact that someone who doesn't look like me is doing a homesteading channel.

Love YA'LL
When I tell y’all who haven’t tried this how good it is, I am lying. This recipe right here is simply amazingly wonderful. I made a very small batch of four cans and they are almost all gone. Half a far left. I MADE THEM YESTERDAY, lol! Don’t be sleeping on her recipes y’all. Mrs. Homestead knows her stuff. I’ve been a loyal fan for about a year now and she will never lose me.
You have such an upbeat, pineapple, sunshine personality. Love the homestead videos. Be blessed!
Yes, and I adore that little giggle/laugh! ❤️
@Lynne Dare 0⁰⁰))9
Easy to follow.
Love your little chuckle.
It’s fun to be with you!
After watching your videos I have ordered my canning and preserving books from Amazon. Blessings my sister watching from Cayman Islands.
Aloha, So happy I found you two..I live in Hawaii and grow Pineapples..I will definitely use your Pineapple jam recipe..Yes I will let the adds play..Just for you..
I love pineapple! So I knew I had to do this recipe. I want knowledge of the simple pure ways and you show that in your video’s. I have been canning for fifty years and you teach me something new with every video. I made the pineapple jam and am waiting for it to cool down...then I will be delivering it to my kids and grandchildren. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
I made this jam today, it is "crazy" good. I nursed a lone pineapple for 2 weeks. I got 5 half pints, 4 for the pantry and 1 for the fridge.Thank you for sharing this video. My pressure canner arrived 2 days ago. You convinced me of what I have been missing
,;)
What kind of canner?
Your explanations of the process are very clear and easy to follow; I really enjoy your personality too. Thank you very much for posting so many great tutorials of the things you're doing on your homestead!
I made this and it's BY FAR my husband's and my favorite...EVER! We were tasting, admiring its consistency and thinking of all the things it will be perfect on!
You are awesome, so fun to watch & learn so much. You & your husband are great to watch on your homestead, keep up the awesome work & videos, I learn something new all the time. God Bless you all !!!!!
Young lady keep up Your Faith and all the good recipes we need more people In the world like you,
Just a little tip for ALL JAMS and preserves: Add a pinch of salt to it. It will enhance the flavor ( salt do that) and it will help for preservation. But just a pinch! Also a half lemon juice , super good! I’ve been doing it for ever and everybody ask me why my jams, mermeladas and preserves are sooooo goood😜
How long does it last?
I also do the same thing and my jam last long upto 3 and more year
Is it a pinch of salt per jar or pinch of salt to the pot? Same with the lemon juice, are you adding it to the pit or half of lemon juiced into each jar?
Hello, I just saw your comment and I have a couple of questions. Is it salt and lemon to the pot? The juice of half lemon regardless of the amount of jam you’re making in the pot?
Truly simple...No big fancy words...No crazy utensils.. Just awesome teaching! You make ME feel like I can do this. My new sister lol Thanks
OMG tried this recipe yesterday, with the intentions of using it to make a ham glaze over the holidays. I made the mistake of opening a jar to taste test it. I hope it makes it to the holidays! This shit is the bomb! Yum!
Just finished 6 half pint jars of strawberry jam and Pineapple jam is almost done cooking and in the waterbath for 5 mins. I am on a roll. You inspire the heck out of me. I gave pineapple jam last year for Christmas and they are still talking about it. Heeheehee
love, love, love, ya'll and looking forward to preparing our jam. Thank you Lord for this gifted family. :)
Making this tomorrow to give as Christmas gifts! We need a "LOVE" button! You are amazing.
Thank you so much!
I’ve watched this 3 times. I’m so motivated. I went and got pineapple and waiting for it to ripen before I make it. I’m so excited! You did a great job on the video. I just love you guys!!!
I grew up watching my Nana can all kinds of things. Watching your video makes it look so easy and brought back some really happy memories from childhood! So I subscribed and cant wait for more great videos! 😀😀😀
I just made this today and it was my first time canning anything.
YOU GONE WITCHO BAD SELF! 😁That's whatum talkin bout!!!
HOMESTEAD HEART thank you! My sister came to visit us at the RV and I forgot to give her some but a friend in Detroit wants a jar too.
Congratulations. Now the canning bug will bite you.
Have fun
Careful it’s addictive to can but satisfying
Too much of talking waist of time
I just made this jam. So easy, so yummy. I got two big thumbs up from my BF and my son’s nurse. The nurse is planning to make some for her church charity sale 💙
Gurl!!! I watched this last week and can’t get it off my mind. I’ve had my pineapple for a week now and tomorrow is the big day!! I’ll let you guys know how it turned out!!
Please let us know how you like it
HOMESTEAD HEART You are my Shero! I wish I can post a picture on here. I would love for you to see them. My pineapple was BIG! I was able to get 7 of the 8oz jars. The taste is out of this world, so delicious!!! I almost wanted to lick the pot LOL!!! I added some lemon juice as you suggested. I can’t wait to try it on toast. I was so excited to can being my first time!!! The pinging of the lids are a joyful noise. ❤️
Grammy Yah you could take a picture and make a temporary profile picture. 😃
@@GrammyYah7 nothing like the pop of a sealing can to a canner!
Kimberly Robinson how? I’m not that knowledgeable on this type of stuff. Are you saying use my canned picture as my profile?
So far I made the Jared potato and the pineapple are in jars. You make everything so easy peazy. Bless your hands and all you do.
Mrs. Heart, I want to say thank you for helping me with learning how to can. My great grandmother and grandmother both did it and by the time I expressed interest in learning, they passed. I feel like they are smiling and laughing at me from heaven as I do this process. ❤❤
Watching again as a refresher because I am making this tomorrow. Bought a huge pineapple two weeks ago and haven't let anyone touch it. It is now perfect for jam. Thank you so much for this video. You are absolutely lovely.
Here it is a year later! I knew one day I was going to make this after seeing this video a year ago. So, I went back to your video today to review again. Today was the day! Just finished exactly as you demonstrated. It's absolutely glorious! Thank you! 😊
After not canning for over 30 years, I had the courage to start again! Put up 16 pmts of baked beans and 6 quarts of kidney beans today! On to the jams, pickles, peaches and tomatoes! Thanks for the clear and methodical instruction. You helped me begin and my pantry will be full by the end of the season
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for this video. You're such a thorough teacher. Blessings to you and all your loved ones.
This is now my very favorite channel.Homestead Heart is so honest entertaining and very educational. We have learned so much about gardening and canning.Thank you for sharing with us.God Bless
You probably won't even see this but, still, I want to thank you for this video.
I didn't have fresh pineapple but I used 2 cans of tidbits and 3 cans of crushed pineapple and got 10 half pints and a full pint of pineapple jam using your instructions. It is soo good! I didn't think I'd get that much so I only prepared 10 jars and just used my 15 quart soup pot to process. Had I known, I would have gotten out my water bath canner. I ended up putting the pint straight into the refrigerator. I'm going to try your strawberry jam next. Thanks again, so very much! May God bless you and yours! 💗
You're Welcome. I'm so happy that you enjoyed the recipe. Pineapple jam is my favorite. 🙂
Look at the gorgeous color of that jam ! Beautiful.
My jam was great and everyone loved it as gifts!!!! It was my first time canning and I have request for more!!!! You are my inspiration... thank you
Yummy.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge. This is really awesome!
Sis, I made it 🤸🏾♂️ minds only yield 3 jars but, boy oh boy... Delicious. Thank you from the core of my heart ❤🙋🏽♀️
Did the jam get thick?
Thank you so much for teaching us. Today was the first time I canned and done pineapple and pineapple jam. You are so kind for the time you take to make sure we can follow along with you. God Bless you and Mr. H
I just finished my 6- 8oz. Jars and (1 for the frig) of your wonderful recipe for pineapple jam. It's so easy with your instructions. I had hip surgery almost 6 weeks ago, so anybody can do this. Thank you so much for your time and knowledge. God bless you.
I love your recipes so am glad I found you and your husband on tv.you give plenty of sunshine into our lives.Stay Bless
I just found you today. I'm old and not going to homestead any time soon but I've had a wonderful time watching your videos. Bless your efforts! You're a great teacher.
I made it just now! I snuck a taste but can’t wait until tomorrow to dig in. I got 4 jars from my fresh pineapple. This was so easy and waiting until the pineapple was ripe ripe, made it sooo easy! You started me on this journey and you are so smart! Thank you for sharing everything you do! God Bless and Keep you and your family! Your Rock girl!! 😊😊
This is exactly how we eat our pineapples. Leave them on the counter until we smell that beautiful floral pineapple 🍍 aroma. I’ve made mango & strawberry jams but now I’m gonna try this. I make my own yogurt & jam to flavor it. So this will be a delicious new flavor. Thanks so much for sharing.
I would have had to buy 2 pineapples one to eat and one to cook 😂
Tammy Carrington ... I know ... “one for me ... one for the jam ... one for me ... one for the jam
@@Bunefoo401 yes yes yes Collette, that's what I am talking about
I did this thats why i ran out of pineapple :)
🤣
🤣🤣🤣 me too❤😁‼
LOL.. I will never NOT buy a too ripe pineapple again! THANK YOU so much for your inspiration and lessons and always shining so bright in the world! 💖
This sounds and looks amazing! I will not rest until I have pineapples sitting on the counter ripening. I bought strawberries and chopped them up and used no pectin to make jam. The first batch did not set up completely BUT my adult children loved it over ice cream. I realized that I did not use enough sugar. Made 4 more batches the same way! So good. Can't wait to make pineapple. Thank you so much for this new idea.
Girl.. you and Rose red are my go to Canners.
I appreciate u so much!
I'm mixing my peaches and pineapples today for some delicious jam.
I did it. The Pineapple Jam came out perfect. I used two pineapples and canned 10 jars. I'm so proud of my work. On to the Strawberry Jam.
Mrs. H! I canned this lovely jam today and it's delicious!!!! 10 half-pint jars from two pineapples. Thank you & God Bless!
Please, One of my fondest childhood memories was my mother always trying to grow a pineapple plant from a pineapple heart/stalk she had pulled but she never had the patience to leave it alone long enough for it to grow. I love your videos and I’ve learned so much from you. May God bless you; thank you so much! I appreciate you and what I’m learning!!!
Made a half batch of pineapple jam just to try it. Now I'm thinking about 5 or 6 full batches so I don't run out. Soooo good
Use a strawberry or tomato huller to take out the little brown parts once you have taken the skin off. Its fast, easy, and takes out only what you need to without cutting off any more of the good stuff than you have to ! 🍍😀
Good suggestion
@Nettie Reynolds huller, it's a special contraption for cutting out the stem/leaves/hull of the strawberry. It cuts in a circle but at an angle so it cuts out a nice little cone shape leaving most of the strawberry.
SO EXCITED MAKING THIS RIGHT NOW!!!! Thanking our Father for you. I would have never thought to can pineapple.
Mrs. Homestead Heart, My Husband and I cant thank you enough for sharing your knowledge and techniques. This was our First Time Canning experience. The preserves are DELICIOUS! Looking forward to gifting our Family and friends. Loving our New Adventure. Thank You, Thank You for your many tutorials!! Happy New Year!
I absolutely love to watch Homestead Heart. Not only is the material EDUCATIONAL, INTERTAINING, but they give a feeling of deep PRIDE in the CONTRIBUTION that our GOD has allowed us to save and share with LOVE. Thank you so much!
Okay.......now I have got to try this. Looks delicious, I could almost smell it. I used to make a lot of jam, and never used pectin. Just used fruits that either contained it naturally, or cooked apples and strained the juice and added it to the recipe, as apple is high in pectin, then cook to the gel stage. But never thought to try pineapple. Now I want to. Thanks for another great vid.
Made it today...its awesome
Thank you mrs.H. Made it today and it's very easy and delicious
I will be making this jam, as soon the pineapple on my kitchen table finishes turning yellow. That's when I usually cut and eat them. You're right so much sweeter. Thank you
I just love how simple you make this recipe. I just found your channel and I am learning so very much. Please keep’em coming!!!!
I did it! I have been saving this video for 8 months. Today I cooked two ripe pineapples into jam. I went right along with you. Perfect! You have such a positive, lovely way about you! BLESSINGS!
Thank you for this video! We've already steam juiced and canned 22 pounds of Raspberries from our homestead and it's good but since Covid I haven't been able to get Pineapple Jam. Your video was a huge help and we'll be trying the recipe with canned crushed Pineapple. BTW, this is the first video we've seen from you - we liked it. You have a great way about you; practical, happy and you don't assume we know something we don't! We subscrived! OH! Another BTW ;) There's no need to put a lid and ring on your spacer jar in the water bath, it works fine just full of water. Water bath, right side up and full of water, pressure canner upside down and empty, no lid on either one.
I'm definitely going to make pineapple jam!! I love fresh pineapple!
I made the pineapple jam yesterday after watching your video. It was a family hit!! Thank you so much for all you’re doing to encourage folks to can food for their family.
I am new to canning and this recipe was my first attempt at water bathing. From 1 pineapple, I was able to get 4 jars. I have had the jars on the shelf for a week. Couldn't resist. Today popped the lid. DELICIOUS!!!!! My goodness, this is so good. I did give it a squirt of lemon. I am extremely pleased and will make this again. Thanks for sharing.
Hey! Hey! Mrs. Homestead Heart! Just wanted to say THANK YOU for all you do! Pineapple jam sounds AWESOME! Headed to the store shortly, but after reading in the comments I wanted to give your subs a quick tip. My Mom taught me to put a small jar with a few (small) holes punched in the lid with about a 1/4 of a cup of apple cider vinegar in it to "trap" the gnats that come with fruit. I keep this on my counter year round. It works great!! Just remember to change the vinegar often. Hope this helps them out! I'm off to the store now! Bless you and your family for doing all you do!
Just made my 2nd batch of pineapple jam and again I used pint jars because we go through it so fast. 3 pineapples gave me 4 pints, so yummy! 😋😋😋 Thanks Ms.H for sharing your favorites and teaching us not to he afraid to try new things. Live and Blessings to you all.💞
I just love the way you show every thing you do. You make me smile, laugh and feel so good when I watch you. Thank You~
Miss H Heart,The pineapple jam looks lushous. Mother used to make pineapple and peach jam....we LOVED it!!! You Dear Lady are precious in the Lords sight and Mine and My Miss Sharon too. Love your channel.... Rick
I love all you two are doing on your homestead. Keep up the good work!!
Thank you so much for showing us how to preserve things. Love it.
You love pineapple as much as I do! I wish we lived close to one another and could can together. Thank you for this recipe. I'll make it for Christmas gifts.
The first time I made pineapple jam I was about 11 years old. I planted the crown too. The only difference is I put a little bit, very little bit, of salt to balance and enhance all that sweet goodness. Great video Ladybug.
Ohhhh its almost midnight so I can’t do it now. But you best believe, I’m making this first thing in the morning. I got everything I need and this will be my third pantry item I’m preserving thanks to you (rice, butter, and now pineapple jam)
I just love tuning into your channel! 👍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍
Come with me and “Escape”...love your singing! I’m gonna try this...I could almost smell it while you were working! So easy! Thanks...blessings from Western NC🙏🏻💖
FROZEN PINEAPPLE: Three (3) one pound bags (16 ounces/1 pound each bag) of Dole frozen pineapple chunks made me a total of (8) eight jelly jars: 8 oz each jar. THREE TOTAL BAGS EQUALS EIGHT JELLY JARS. I did add equal amounts of sugar (6 cups total), a smidge of cinnamon, and one capful of lemon juice to cut the sweetness. I took a little of the liquid out after I use my immersion blender and added the cinnamon to that little bit with a fork. Then I added that amount back into the large pot of pineapple. DELICIOUS!! THANK YOU MRS H!! May the Lord bless you and keep you!
You are such a wonderful teacher my mom made jelly from dewberries, plum, apples we picked if we wanted her to make us some. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME. I'm gonna start with your jelly recipes. You and Mr. have a WONDERFUL spirit love watching your channel.
First time canner here ! Just made this pineapple jam . I am very excited 😊 smells so wonderful I can not wait to try it
Looks like a jar of sunshine 🌞 💛
I followed your video to make my first pineapple jam last week, it turned out beautiful, I gave my Dad a jar of it to try, he came by the next day and said it was delicious on a biscuit and could I make more, he would buy the pineapple if I would make it LOL, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and recipes with us, I have really learned alot and totally enjoy your spirit & laughter, you help me not to be so nervous about canning and have inspired me to try new things, like making jam LOL !
My fav jam, Omg with hot flaky biscuits ! Love to eat fresh pineapple! After watching your video ! Rewarding resullts, beautiful canned pineapple jam I am going to try ! Awesome video
I've just recently starting canning, although I don't have a pressure canner yet. I've made watermelon and blueberry jams, and this will be my next attempt, as my wife loves pineapple. I like how much it seems that you enjoy making these videos. Although I never had the experience, it feels more like learning from a mom in the family kitchen than just watching a video...
Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge!
I am so glad that you are doing this because my grandma and mother has passed away, but they did teach me the basic of canning and you just added to all that they taught me.I just want to say thank you for being here and doing this for us.🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍💕💕💕💕💕
Beautiful! You are a very good teacher. Your love for what you do shines trough.
Girl, you crack me up! You're always funny but watching you do up that pineapple sure showed how much you enjoy doing all these things. I could almost smell it too!
That's wild cause the whole time she was peeling I could smell pineapple I wanted to eat some
Your videos are so informative! I am someone who asks a million questions but you provide so much info and you make it so easy!!
"If you like piña coladas
And getting caught in the rain
If you're not into yoga
If you have half a brain
If you like making love at midnight
In the dunes on the cape
Then I'm the love that you've looked for
Write to me, and escape"
@Nettie Reynolds, it’s a drink.
A tropical drink with coconut and pineapple. This September i made pina colada jam. Use pineapple and shredded coconut. Delish
It’s about 4:30 am and your video made me hungry for some good homemade pineapple jam! I grew up watching my mother canning and preserving various fruits and vegetables, etc. and many years later I’ve become interested and recently started preserving figs from our fig tree which turned out great considering it was my first time and with the help of good people like you on UA-cam showing us how! Thanks…
My momma always put all of the foam in its own jar, and we ate it on toast it was great and no waste
We would always eat the foam on toast or biscuits when Mama made jelly, too! Great memories!
My Mom always put the foam from jam in a dish and we would spread it on saltines. YUM!
And over icecream
@@marilyncausey9348 our foam always went into a coffee cup and we used it on biscuits or bread. Yummy!
I just finished doing this recipe! I used about 1/2 of the sugar, so it's more like a preserve in texture. The flavor is amazing! And I couldn't believe it only needed to process for 5 min!!! Awesome! Thank you so much 💓.
I just LOVE to hear you laugh! It's infectious! 😄😄😄
Have you ever added coconut to your pineapple jam? I'm guessing you'd cut back on the sugar a bit if you were using the sweetened variety.
Wearing kitchen gloves might help protect your hands.
❤
Thank you so much because of you I learned how to make pineapple jam for the first time and it came out perfect and it taste soooo good. Thank you ♥️
Was waiting for you to break out dancing to the Pina Colada song. I was almost drooling over this jam recipe. Getting ready to start my own. Have a blessed weekend~
Yay!! I did 3 pineapples n got 11 1/2 pints!! Thanks again! U r a true blessing my sister in Christ. 😲 they are popping!!

I’m so in love with your content. You are the inspiration that I need to learn. I’m not allowed to bring to much into the home. I’m going to help my sister this year to can since I’m not allowed to bring it into the home she’s going to help me can and hide it. You women are so lucky to have a mate that wants to support you.
God bless you honey ❤❤❤
