I've seen so many good and bad reviews on this plane,I picked up one and I like it alot you need some room it's not a backyard flyer take the turns nice and easy and it's all good .
I moved antenna as advised. Today was nice calm day so of I went to maiden my cub and hey it all went smooth as silk, 5 batteries of just calmly floating around, beautiful poetry in motion. Many people commented how nice it was. I did try stunt mode briefly but thought it was too sensitive so straight back to rudder mixing mode (more docile) I did encounter the dreaded "death Spiral" a few times but always managed to pull out of it after a few spins. So all in all it went great, really enjoyed it. Rob
Things are going well with my Skylark Cub, I go out with 5 batteries which is plenty of flight time. Now I am more confident I often switch to 3D mode and perform stunts like rolls and loop the loop with ease, then switch back to assisted mode for calm floating around.Really is a nice plane. My next model, well I've been eying it for a while - the X450 VTOL, should be interesting.
Morning, Chris here.....I like the yellow color on the plane a lot. I like the stripes on it too.......it has a classic R.C. look to it which I love......I always gravitate to the look & feel of classic kits, it takes me back to what I was growing up.
Where is the antenna (arial) on the model, someone said to face it forwards as opposed to it's original backwards facing location? I will do mod if you show where areal is? Rob
start in assisted mode and make wide turns, when you take the hand you can try manually with your finger ready to insert the assist. the dime is to give weight forward is okay
Sorry, realise its been a couple years - but I jsut got my hands on one of these - and Im wondering if the receiver make some weird clicking noises when plugged in?
Hello, I wanted to ask you a question, I am a beginner. My a160 drops as soon as I cast it. I think the problem is the esc. When I connect the controller, the esc makes noise (interference noises). Does your esc make noise when the controller is connected? Thanks
hi, before flying try all the controls. turn on the remote control first and check that the cabra and swoops and ailerons work well and go in the gista direction. the bait makes no noise unless it has fallen into the water. retry the procedure by disconnecting the batteries and do the same again keeping the area in horizontal plane (on the ground)
Hello, thank you very much for answering. Everything seems to be correct. With the plane horizontally and not moving, the esc emits a noise, similar to interference noise. The esc should not make noise? I have the Eachine Mini Planes RC Corsair F4U that you made a video of and I fly it with no problem.
does it have any bluetooth turned on like cell phones, gopro or cameras? because a face it happened to me that with the cell on I lost the signal. today I take the model and I tell you if the esc makes noise because I don't remember it
Why the don't route the aileron wires through the hole in the cabin beats me it would be easier to connect the plugs and the wing would sit flush on the cabin roof
you can fly in both stabilized mode. or in non-stabilized flight. on the remote control can choose. I advise you to fly in stabilizato and to turn without using the drift but only with the right left command
Got mine today, have already built it, I have got like 10 batteries + I could use in this model, how's that for flying all day.Should be a nice gentle floater, really easy and relaxing to fly, can't wait for a calm day to try it out :¬) Rob

Hello Friend. with a capacitor and external antenna solve the problems. if you do not make any changes it is sufficient not to use the tail plane and make larger turns. now two or more models can fly together.
Come on you guy's where's the art of building models gone. And building rc piper cubs from plans. flying all these staberliser models don't teach you to fly its like flying a G. P. S. Drone its flys its self most of the time. 30 plus years ago you learnt to fly and got complements from other flyers and club members on how well it flyes and looks Not what the manufacturers have thrown in to a box and has cost you more than double to what it would if you build your own from plans or even a real kit. After flying RC for 40 years scale models like large extras, piper cubs, thermal soras. And flying the major show through out the UK for 30 years its a real shame to see these foames and R.T.F. HAVE people lost the skills to build or can't thay be bothered any more. SUCH A shame.
I understand perfectly what you say and I think in part as you do. but from the other side the world of modeling changes like all things. everything has a beginning and an end. a good day.
Oh man, the SALT! If you want to build models, that's your call. Foam is far superior nowadays in terms of value, durability and ease of repair. The value component also includes time....time it takes to build models and repair them, which in the case of a balsa kit, frankly isn't worth it for 99% of people who fly. You really shot yourself in the foot here on cost. Most planes this size come in around 100 bucks RTF. Your balsa kit is going to be about 30 on the low end, plus your own ESC, motor, mount, prop, servos, RX and TX. You're looking at about 150+ plus exponentially more time on your own. As far as self leveling/AS3X, it is a win-win for everyone. It gets increasingly more people into the hobby which means production scales are getting larger and costs are decreasing. When it comes to learning, the ability to toggle a "panic" mode/button is invaluable in cost and money. New fliers can save a plane at the push of a button. Most importantly, stabilization enables the beginner pilot to get 2-3 "oopsies" high and fly manual for a few seconds/minutes at a time. This builds muscle memory and orientation at an EXTREMELY reduced risk to the plane. Now, instead of spending 2 months building a kit, then spending 150+ on electric components (not even gong to get into nitro and how awful it is by todays standards) only to go up on a maiden, roll the plane over and pretty much immediately crash into the ground wondering why. Circling back to the model making component, I was a professional model/prop/replica maker for 9 years, so you're not going to win any battles there. I learned (and even pioneered some) old school modeling techniques during most of that time. Eventually though, towards the tail end of that career I got into additive manufacturing to stay competitive and started working as an engineer last year. Where am I going with this? Evolve or die, essentially. You can use your 30-40 years of experience to be bitter, or you can go use it to be productive. Maybe show more people how to fly. Improve someone's foamy. What you're "doing" now...isn't helping anyone. Yourself included.
@@zanderbrandt1730 sorry mate just grow up if you whant to fly RC models from AMERZON AND ON LINE ORDERS that takes all of 72 hours to arrive in the post and fly.. Then so be be it.
