- Sometimes, the villains really spit facts and words of wisdom that make you rethink whether they really are bad people or simply misunderstood.

"A lie isn't made truth because most accept it!" -Havik. That hit deep.
Its probably based of this Booker T. Washington quote -
A lie doesn't become truth, wrong doesn't become right, and evil doesn't become good, just because it's accepted by a majority.
People are suddenly havik fans because they accept him after a quote lol
@ligma212 it's not acceptance of the character himself. It's just a tidbit of truth. The U.S. road system today was modeled after the Germans' roads during WW2. That doesn't mean we accept Hitler.
Said Dairou while covering his actual name under a lie.
@@kadefandrei3782 uhhh what does that have to do with anything lol. That's a weird little tangent. Has that been on your mind and you decided to work it in somehow
"Mature adults don't need leaders."
"But most aren't, which is why they do."
That might sound cynical, but... just look at voting tendecencies on Europe and North America the last few years.
That's why democracy is a failed system since people will prefer the magician with lollipops and with tenderness lies than the plague doctor with the hard truths and scarier tools.
All people are biased, but only some put their bias away for the benefits of others except you.
I can feel the same in japan..........
In the whole world tbh
yea when u look at our presidents, mayors, and etc they have a good point lol
The problem with havik is that he hypocritically does exactly what he so ardently and vociferously calls out others for doing. He opts for freedom but when people disagree with his means for achieving that he turns to violence. Most characters in their banter agree with havik’s views for freedom from oppression but they don’t support his means of getting it. Having an entire capital flooded(I think it was called seido) murdering thousands of innocent people makes him no better than the oppressors of his people. Shang Tsung confuses me even more as he states that only the weak believe in gods but he relies on other supernatural forces and influences(such as souls and other magics) for power and he put his trust in a god who later betrays him and Quan chi in the story(Kronika who was revealed to be titan shang tsung later on in the story) to achieve that power. With all this in mind I respectfully disagree with the notion of them speaking facts on everything.
Yep Havik uses just words like freedom and liberty to hide what he really is that being a anarchy loving monster who just wants bloodshed and destruction.
Shang Tsung know he is pretty weak himself.
In Shang Tsung's case, it's Shang Tsung. Of course he'd be a hypocrite. He's betrayed almost every single character, directly or not. Why wouldn't he betray his ideals?
Besides, he's really weak on his own.
Havik is basically an anarchist gone mad.
Hypocritical? No, he's being lead by revenge and someone lack of resolve wouldn't stop him from achieving his great goal.
There's nothing wrong with Shang Tsung relying on supernatural powers, those are his powers, also his intro is after the events of the main game, so yeah, he doesn't put his faith in gods anymore, his godly counterpart betrayed him, Liu Kang denied him his birthright to become a sorcerer.
"Two taigores can't share the same mountain".
Damn Netherrealm, have you been studying Chinese proverbs for this game?
For those unaware, it's an actual Chinese proverb: 一山不容二虎 (One mountain cannot contain two tigers).
I like that debate between the Shaos over how a great battle should be won, because we had a twofold example in Titan Shang Tsung.
On the one hand, he had to fight a great battle to kill his Liu Kang and seize the Hourglass. On the other hand, had he been content to stay put and lord over his timeline rather than set up another conquest, he wouldn’t have ended up incurring a time war that resulted in himself and his empire crumbling.
Exactly. I would just rule over my timeline as a god and do whatever I want.
Lesson is: Don't over reach.
“ all of outworld knows I want them to thrive”
Baraka : dead ass?
Baraka: The audacity of this bitch
Sindel: What the- will you get outta here?! >:0
Fucking Baraka:...I ask again. Dead. Ass?!
Sindel: >:(
Baraka: >:K
Havik: 🤨
Sindel:...uhhh fine..
Baraka: Okay good-
Sindel: Powder.
Baraka: Wait what?!
Havik: Huh?! >:0
Sindel:..I'll crush every last of you germ written filth into FINE POWDER!!
Except havik is stronger than sindel the spoiled brat
Kitana is right. Society needs order. The real problem is when order is used as a weapon of oppression.
Havik's intros about oppression and the curse of order are interesting to hear, but he acts like anarchism isn't as bad, if not worse than strict order. Being an extremist in any cause will ruin it, no matter how "pure" you make it to be. History has proven that and still continues to do so.
That's why he is clearly the villain. I mean, this guy approaches Reptile, whose family was murdered and he himself was a slave working in a place that basically is Doctor Mengele's laboratory, and Havik tells him that he didn't truly suffer lol. Madness has completely tainted his mind and morality.
Extreeeemissttff reeeee
@@LuzikArbuzik77 Agreed. You gotta be a villain no matter what to talk down to someone as pure as Reptile like that anyway
Almost like he’s a villian
Agreed, hell, In His MK ending bro killed his people (with the help of Rain) and said "Finally my people are BLESSED (really bro?) By Chaos!!!"
Most villains in this game seem to see "I cannot kill everyone I want to" as "oppression."
They knocked it out of the park with this game man. Love what they did with the story and characters too. Dialogue and writing is so good! I'd watch a series just in this new world, see everyone doing fun slice of life stuff. Really this blows Street Fighter 6 out of the water in almost every aspect - Graphics, gameplay, cool characters, story, dialogue..
It sucks dude. I’ve only ever seen these on UA-cam. They hide them in game. I’ve already gone back to playing injustice 2.
Sf6 is leaps above mk1 in terms of gameplay, more mobility options, is faster and the core mechanics are one of the best in modern fighting games. The character part is more debatable
@@noridamedina7532 I'll admit its hard to say one is objectively better than the other, I just will say I find myself wanting to play most of the cast in MK1, quicker to learn and execute in MK1, More variety. That isn't the case for me in SF. I will say though its not like SF6 is bad. Its online is way better than MK1s by far, and I enjoy the drive gauge system.
I HATE Mileena and Tanya's relationship though. So gross and random. Baraka ids her real love in previous timelines!
@@thepunisherxxx6804 I see, both games are fun but i would like NRS sped up the gameplay a bit tbh.

Shao couldn't be more true with that response
"Water should cleanse, not kill"

😌💭🌊😇✝️💙
Thor: The Avengers were made to keep the peace.
General Shao: And yet you are led by a man who made weapons of war.
Havik: You are nothing but a cruel tyrant, Darkseid.
Darkseid: Better a tyrant than an anarchist, Havik.
Shang Tsung: Your people fear your power because they do not understand it.
Elsa: Then I will show them I am not to be feared.
Havik: "If a 1000 people must die for freedom then so be it."
Arlinn Kord: "You use words like liberty, and freedom to hide the truth of what you really are."
Those are actually pretty good.
Magneto: Mutants are far superior than any humans!
Fire God Liu Kang: Mutants are not gods! They weren't born in heaven or hell!
Abyssal twin: "The Archons are pawns to the Celestia."
Liu Kang: "But to do harm to Teyvat is to force your twin to stop you."
Kafka: "Good time never lasts."
Johnny Cage: "That's one good reason why we made it worth something."
Shang Tsung: To sacrifice one's life for another is lunacy
Also Shang Tsung: *Sacrificed many people's lives for his experiments*
Thats why he said "one's life".
@@axrye800 Well, we can look at millions of dead people and not even flinch, while we can look at one dead human (especially our relatives) and we will cry.
He means sacrificing your own life for someone else is lunacy.
The fact is that Havik can somehow talk perfectly without lips.
Even villains can roast.
Like Reverse Flash?
Yeah.
Facts that can however become a double-edge weapon when used incorrectly.

Shang and havoc hating gods make sense realizing they gotta depend on themselves. gods can be lazy or manipulative seeing morale as toys. Caenis and gildemesh from fate hate gods.
"Occupation is also oppression, Earthrealmer."

Kitana is right. Societies do need rules and order to function.
but we have too many contradictory rules and they’re applied in hilariously lopsided fashion depending on class and nepotism.

Think you can do all of the Hourglass references?
Because of Havik's intent behind his quotes, they can only be considered facts if you are as insane and evil as he is. You can't call quotes 'words of wisdom' without paying attention to the intent of the character the quotes are from.
“Only the weak put their faith in Gods” -Shang Tsung 0:10 I’m not going to lie that line was cold asf🥶

@@sapphichoe found the wannabe nihilist. Eat glass
Yeah, even the villains are right at times, especially Rain
Cleansing often requires "killing" certain things to achieve.
Havik became one of those villains that is unreasonably cruel/evil because what he says have too much sense so people might follow his words.
He makes some nice arguments, but look at modern society. I could trust maybe half the people on the planet to govern themselves. The other half, not so much. It's just like what Shao responds to him.
"Mature adults don't need leaders."
"But most aren't, which is why they do."
Actually no, saying "but is for the opressed" doesnt make anything true nor gives sense to his deliriums. Dont mistake me, i love how Havik is written, but he doesnt make anything logical or right.
Havik's whole deal in this game is basically to disagree with everyone and pick fights with them over even the slightest thing. When he has a clash with Sub-Zero, Sub-Zero asks: 'You have a problem with ice?' to which Havik responds 'Water should flow freely!'
Like come on. My guy has a problem with ice. ICE! Like, bruh, I get that you're angry, but being angry at everything and anything isn't gonna get you far. Direct it at something meaningful that sets you back the most, rather than hating everything. But then again, to do that would require some form of order, which is abhorrent to him. And yet, without it, he can't achieve his way either. Dude's a walking contradiction that acts like he knows what he wants and how to get it, but actually has no clue.
He makes some good points, yes, but he also makes some really dumb ones. And some that directly contradict each other. Like, for example: 'People should be free to choose their own way. Now do as I say or I'll fucking kill you.' Pick a goddamn lane, Havik!
Agreed. It's not a coincidence that media tends to often portray anarchists or rebels "as being no better/worse than their oppressers." It leads hordes of easily-influenced children to conclude that "rebelling against the status quo = evil," when in reality all the puppy-kicking and baby-eating is a deliberate writing decision to distract from the actual problems from the existing status quo.
@@su_patatita_1951You missed the OP's point entirely, dude. The point isn't that Havik's overall philosophy is morally correct or sensible (I mean, the dude literally hates ICE, is he gonna start a war against Santa Claus??), it's that he was written *intentionally* to be morally abhorrent and ridiculous in order to make his *actually valid* points look worse.
Havik has an entirely valid point when he says that "just be patient" doesn't help the millions of oppressed and tortured citizens suffering out there, so the writers made him a genocidal lunatic (and worse, a jerk to Syzoth) to make him "safe" to ridicule and ignore.
0:21 has Havik ever considered democracy?
He'd still try to take down a democracy, as his dengranged mind would believe that people are still oppressed.
Some I definitely disagree with. Others… Touche.

@PrinceFloof Anyone. Kronika was not invincible. And she knew it. That's why she had collaborators. Liu kang is still a God. But can still be overthrown.

@dezalt I don't get why rain was treated so harshly. Shang Tsung deceived everyone. Literally. He should be forgiven. Sindel kitana and mileena were all tricked. Yes, he rebelled but he also repented. Which is more than I can say for most. Instead they want him dead. Which forced his hand into desperation. When they could have accepted his forgiveness.
