That helped so much, I also have the Droplet and I'm using the Collagin in the mornings and 2 times a week the Retinol. My skin is reversing the damage right before my eyes, I'm 67 years young, and you are my hero!

Excellent interview! I wish I could have inserted a diet-related question. Id love to know if there is any synergistic effect between DNA repair enzymes and autophagy (that occurs with fasting).
What ARE the actual products we can rely on that have the authentic DNA repair enzymes in them? This is the first I've heard about enzyme DNA repair...no one else ( YT influencers) seem to be talking about this...even YT Derms. Also, the way Dr. Yarosh spoke about injure/repair, injure/repair of the skin, with the DNA trying to recover the original health of the skin, but eventually losing ground (i.e., unable to return to optimal skin health) - this has me thinking we are fooling ourselves with thinking that microneedling is a process that helps the skin in the long run. It may appear to help the skin look better in the short term, but (per what Dr. Y said about the (injure/repair) process - how can we justify microneedling as being good for skin health, in the long run?
This was so interesting, Thank You Penny! Unfortunately I am 61 and didn't start being serious about my skincare until a couple of years ago because I was bed ridden and eating up UA-cam videos, thanks Covid. The only benefit. I did use sunscreen on my face early on and some products here and there. Being income challenged, I thought I could not afford these things. So pissed it took so long for me to discover K Beauty, Ordinary, Etc., Being very scientific minded, I could have done wonders with the knowledge I have now. Trying to love my wrinkles but want recommendations of products with DNA repair factors. And... you look super cute in those glasses! 🧡

@@Chris77690 Hi Chris- unless I misunderstood, the bifida does not do the repair thought it helps the body kick into repair mode. My understanding from the video is that we need both DNA enzymes and the bifida.

My husband has had many sun caners removed from his body, we live in Brisbane Australia and when we were children in the 60's and 70's he spent many hours at the beach. Thank-you for the much needed information. I was just about to reorder the Youth Recovery and this saved me over 50 dollars on two. I started using it after your recommendation a couple of months ago and actually see a difference in the frequency of my pre-cancers and slightly diminished brown spots. I am 75 and growing up in socal in the 60's tan was in and I was allergic to all the sunscreens any ways so I have major photo damage and have had my share of skin cancers. The labelling is a potential minefield; I’m in the UK & have been using the Spanish Sesderma Repaskin range but even products within that vary between explicitly saying they contain photolyase & endonuclease or just DNA repair enzymes!

Stellar info as usual Penn & Dr Yarosh is wonderful at translating the science to layman’s terms without being patronising. The labelling is a potential minefield; I’m in the UK & have been using the Spanish Sesderma Repaskin range but even products within that vary between explicitly saying they contain photolyase & endonuclease or just DNA repair enzymes!
