Up until adulthood, the control level in GoldenEye was by far the most difficult thing I ever experienced in my life. Especially as a kid. The struggle was so excessive.
Wglass90 I personally dread this level as much is the Aztec level. Protecting Natalya in this level is one of the most stressful things I’ve ever encountered in a video game and then just trying to survive the endless wave of guards while trying to make it to the elevator at the end is another nightmare
I had a Samsung GX TV that had speakers that folded out from the screen & a built in Sub in the back so i got to hear everything as it was meant to be heard, still got that TV too it made the games so much more epic
I went to Control earlier this month on 00 Agent and beat it and after doing Aztec on Agent also beating it after a month at the start of last year, time 9:27. I noticed the guards were easier to kill in Control. Took me two days, time 15:50, loved using Invincibility Infinite Ammo 2x Rocket Launchers for the mainframes and 2x RCP-90s for guards after that.
I love how the level starts off on the elevator and the elvator music is playing then once the door opens this starts playing and you know it's time to go
Natalya: You didn't have to shoot him James, I'm going back to the Elevator. James:.....Bitch... Natalya: James cover me while I hack into the computer....(Dies.) James: DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a kid I only played Agent, and still, this level was a massive struggle. I only decided to play Secret Agent and 00 Agent years later (because I wanted to unlock Aztec and Egyptian) so I have much less experience in that 😂
WHAT SENSE DOES THAT MAKE?!? There were no monitors and besides, Boris was in Bunker 1 and you can shoot and kill him and not mission failure after getting the data, yet he somehow comes back. Who does he think he is, Jesus Chrst?
She tells you that she saw you on the security monitors killing Boris. The first time I saw him, I killed him because in the movie, she tried to beat the shit out of him, so I thought that I would be doing Natalya a favour by killing Boris. But no, she gets pissed at you and runs back to the elevator and you automatically fail your mission.
I recently had a VERY realistic feeling dream that I was in the game at the part where you're protecting Natalya while she's screwing around on the computer. What a rush!
I don't understand why so many people consider this level as the hardest to finish in 00. It's pretty easy to protect Natalya if you don't move everywhere. Bunker 2 and Aztec are the hardest levels for me but this level has the nicest tune. :)

Managed to beat it in 00 agent. No cheats. I felt like a boss!
They knew you'd be failing this stage over and over so they put as much love into the track as possible.
