- In this episode of Getting Started with micro:bit, we create a simple temperature gauge using the internal temperature sensor and a servo. We show a couple different ways to connect a servo to the micro:bit and how to control it (using buttons as well as responding to changes in temperature).

Listen bro I just started learning about these microbits in school and I copied it step by step and it worked!
What is the type of the servo?
I am really impressed by sparkfun's approach to latest technology. Do Sparkfun offer internships?
Check their website for more info
can we get the recorded data without connecting microbit to the PC with USB cable?
I might have to buy one of these things now..
I bought one from Adafruit. They contribute a lot to the community.
I do like adafruit, but sparkfun was my frist true love.
DO NOT
Is it a micro servo motor? What is the current drawn by the motor? Hope it will not damage microbit when connected directly. What is the current rating of microbit?
Current rating:
V1:- 90 milli amps (V1 is the version of the microbit used here)
what wire gauge and length is suggested?
Sadly, I could not get the stall current rating on the servo (www.sparkfun.com/products/9065), so I'm not sure on the smallest wire gauge you should use. In the video, I used 22 AWG solid core wire (www.sparkfun.com/products/8026), which seems to work well for sticking in the servo's connector. Anything over 4 inches should be plenty of length to make the connection (up to a few feet, as that'll probably get unwieldy).
22 AWG seems to be the average for breadboard play, so that's probably the correct one.
Very informative video... Oh wait, AdaFruit did it first. Playing follow the leader?
Lmao probs
O zot i madh
why not stereotype all of us engineers by wearing a white coat and a ridiculous bow tie? :-/
Because no engineer that I know of actually wears a lab coat and bow tie (at least on a regular basis)? :P
Because america is full of stereotypes lmao. Can't fight it.
