I know there is so much more to see and so many more places I wanted to go to, but we did what we could in the little time we had. We didn’t film everything. We wanted to enjoy and also not be those “annoying Americans” lol. But really, we just wanted to embrace the country. Thanks for understanding!
@@kmjkmjkmj totally. I agree. That would be so ideal. But yes, time and money make it hard. And we don’t work from home. That would make it easier too.

Delighted you paid us a visit. Hope you both had a great time in amongst all the travel. Looks like you came at the right time weather-wise. As we say here, “Haste ye back”
So glad you had a bonnie time in Scotland and it’s great that you managed to visit Inverness, Aberdeen and Stonehaven. Most people only visit Edinburgh and although it’s a lovely city, you don’t get to see the natural beauty of the Scottish countryside. Haste Ye Back! 🏴❤🇺🇸
Didn't realise you were coming to Stonehaven - that's where I live, literally 5 minutes from the castle. And you are right, it is stunning. And if you think it is hard walking up that path from the harbour, try running up it like we do with our running club!
I lived in Aberdeen and used to run along those cliffs, once every couple of weeks I'd take the train down to Stonehaven and run around by Dunnottar castle. The scenery is great and the water is so clean and clear you can see the bottom 30ft away. Glad you enjoyed your trip and good job on the video.
Great video, I have been following your channel for only about 6 weeks but I thoroughly enjoyed watching this as Scotland is where I live. I actually live in a small and very historic town called Gretna, known for its weddings and its the first place in Scotland right next to the border to England. Glad you enjoyed your trip!
Glad you enjoyed your trip. The Scottish word for a "creek" is a burn. It can be used for anything from a small trickle up to a fast-flowing stream about 5 yards across. The gardens you showed in Edinburgh were the Princes Street Gardens. The Botanical Gardens are about a mile further north.
Excellent combination of stills, video and steady camerawork. Add to that, your voiceover commentary, I’d say congratulations are in order, Jodi, well done!
@@Jodi_BoringReviews Thank you, for Thanking me, Jodi ! Excellent work Jodi! I'm so glad you're enjoying your trip here, and sorry about the drizzle! Thanks for taking the time out to post, and glad to see you're looking up - some great shots of the architecture. Looking forward to the next one. 🤗
Edinburgh was where I went to university, but Inverness is where my mother was raised and the destination of so many of our annual holidays. My grandparents lived on the north side of Island Bank Road, and the Ness Islands could be accessed through a gate in their back garden. The River Ness is also wonderful for fishing. Eventually, my parents moved to Inverness, so I got to call the city home for the four years I spent at the University of Edinburgh. So, thank you for this video: the first half, in particular, Brough back a lot of memories and reminded me vividly of those bygone years..
Personally, I'm glad that you didn't spend too much time videoing. What a waste to go on holiday and have your greatest memories being through a viewfinder. Enjoy the moments as you did. Having said that I'm looking forward to your next posting.

You're narration was brilliant. I know you're a teacher so that helped, but you have a real talent there. Seemed all in one take. I hope you get to see Chawton because it means so much to you, ------ but honestly, like you say it would take up a lot of time. I've been to visit Jane Austin's house once about 15 years ago (I'm a 63 year old Irishman in London half my life) but unless you're taking a car from London to Stonehenge and then the Cotswold villages I could recommend, plus Bath, it;s pointless trying to get there ............. although saying that I am presuming it's difficult to get to by train, Chawton I mean, but i could be wrong. I've been a chauffeur for a long time. Good decision to not record and vlog everything. Just enjoy the trip. You've probably completed your UK tour already.
Jodie you nailed the video (inluding the editing!). Good to see you are enoying your time over here - the smiles on your faces tell the story. One thing I would recommend though if/when you return - don't go to the same places again - we are a set of small countries but they are nonetheless still big enough to have many, many exciting places to visit. When in Inverness for example you were failry close to Aviemore and Speyside...worth a visit - but then so many places are. Great job - looking forward to where you went in England!

Nice video. A creek in Scotland is called a “burn”. FYI Edinburghs old nickname is “Auld Reekie” . “Auld” Scottish slang for old, and Reekie was reference to a coal burned, heavy smoke filled atmosphere.
