Love 💕 it!! Starting strong-I am going to flip my math for my 6th graders:) - with your tips. I too am working with energy - exactly what I needed xoxox😊
I have taught my students to round the 2 digit divisor to the nearest 10. Then round the dividend to the nearest 100. Ex. 800÷20. It gives them a starting place to figure out the quotient.
I'm a mom and I'm taking my kids out of public school (also in socal) due to covid. I've considered homeschooling in the past but settled for online public school. This helps a lot and you seem like a great teacher. I found you when searching for teaching kids to write. You're writting vlogs were very helpful and I would appreciate more in depth vlogs for math. (If you have the time) TY
I just came across your video and I love how real you are :) I would love to see like a time lapse of a day in the life because I don't see those very much anymore. I definitely can't wait to see what you have for classroom management. OH if you can, could you post how you prep and what you do for Parent Teacher Conferences :) Thank you!
henry prokop I want to invite you to check out my channel Mrs. Boyt Live. My son, Yale senior, has helped me with a great persuasive writing structure. I also did a narrative structure called story mountain. Please tell me what you think?
I so appreciate your videos. I'm a first year teacher and I teach 5th grade Math! We are also wapping up two digit divisors. My students hated partial quotient at first, but now most of them say it's their favorite strategy. Also, pleeeease share your management system. I need all the help I can get at this point!
Thanks for remembering to wear Red for Ed. I do like the brain dump idea because you are having your students work out multiplication necessary for division. Continue to use the Box Method, Standard Algorithm, and Partial Quotient as needed so that the students can find the strategy that works best for them. The first quarter went by really fast. Hang in there until the winter break.

Shawn Pereira yes great idea!!
@@HighVibeTeaching I agree :)
Shawn Pereira Would you consider checking out my channel? I would love to know if you have any content requests.
They got rid of CSET and now you can replace with courses.

My brother's have been out of school for a week now but they understand what the importance of the strike means for them and other C.P.S students.
Hi, I posted a video that you could show your classmates at the beginning of the year.
Ill check it out!
@@HighVibeTeaching Thank you! I know it's nothing fancy, but I know it helps students stay organized (especially those with ADHD).
I love her videos so much
