The way Gary takes your hand, and hold on to you and takes branches out of your way... That is love, respect and Def a gentleman Absolutely beautiful ❤
As beautiful as your property is, the thing that brought the most joy to my heart is seeing you two still holding hands. May God continue to bless you all.
Mel you have a very special man by your side. Gary held up branches for you to go under, held your hand as y’all walked, and helped you up and down the mountain so you didn’t fall. That is what I cal a man that loves you with his whole heart. ❤️
Just observing the mossy trees and rocks, the running creeks, the changing leaves, the mushrooms growing everywhere brought me to tears thanking God for this beautiful earth He created. Thank you for taking us on that walk and sharing your piece of it with us.
The bottle at the 18:00 minute mark is an old grape juice bottle from 40-50 years ago. The soda cans are most likely as Mel guessed, 70s and maybe early 80s. I remember that for sure.
So glad I didn't miss this one. What an awesome, beautiful piece of property you have. I love walking in the woods. My Aunt used to take my sis & Me hiking in the woods, on their 160 acre farm. It is one of my favorite memories. Every spring we would hunt Morel mushrooms, she knew where they all came up. She had Walnut, Black walnut, pecan, apple trees, persimmons. Gooseberries, blackberries, so much that you could harvest. Your very lucky to have found this place. You can see that you & Gary are so in love, love how he helps ya! Thank you for sharing this.
Love all the pics of the woods and creeks ! Brings back so many wonderful memories from my child hood! Cant wait to retire back to the country! God bless you as you grow!
Gary’s laugh always lifts my spirit and I love his solicitous behavior towards you. He’s a true gentleman, you are one lucky lady, Mel! Your love for. One another shines throughout this video. One person’s trash is another’s treasure!
I got misty eyed watching you guys walking around in the woods. Reminds me when I was a youngster walking the woods with my uncle at my grandparents farm in Mississippi. The grandparents are gone now and out of the hundreds of acres they had I think I traveled every inch of it. Discover the fresh water streams coming up out of the ground. Some we made into a watering hole. There is only a few acres left now, but there were a whole lot of memories that will never go away. Thanks for the memory walk.
I believe that was a 1960s Sprint bottle. I very good condition would sell $50. I upcycle bottle into lamp bases and make a custom e stained glass lamp shade. I alway thought Anthony could make great stained glass pieces. I watch his carpentry skill and patience, he can make anything.
😊 I definitely enjoyed this episode. Y'all have a beautiful property and I enjoyed seeing all of the different plants, mushrooms and mosses. This was awesome walking through this place and the way Gary and Mel holding hands .Gary was doing a great job of keeping Mel safe and secure . The love in Mel's eyes shows how much her man means to her. Gary you are making points. Keep your family happy.
I love finding odd old bottles. If your kitchen cabinets don't go all the way to the ceiling, you could fill them with food colored water, and place them on top.
Hello Mel and Gary, thanks for showing us around your beautiful property. I look forward to more as time goes by, 41.36 is a lot to cover. Scarlet’s birthday looked like lots of fun. Is that forked tree a marker? I thought some Indians did that along trails, from what I recall from my childhood fascination with the USA. I love the connection you both share. We are like that after 38 years and it’s a strong bond, truely heartwarming.
Really enjoyed this episode. It is so gratifying to see young people who truly appreciate the beauty of nature, and the beauty of Arkansas in particular. I lived, played and grew up in Arkansas woods just like those. I was born in Little Rock. How fortunate you are to be able to stand upon that ridge and take in the beautiful views and say to yourselves, :This is OURS@ Our Heaven on Earth. Our heritage to leave our children and children's children, generations who will walk these undisturbed hills, creeks, and valleys for decades and centuries to come. As I have said before, I love Arkansas, and I love that you guys chose to make Arkansas your home. Your children are blessed, and the birthday party was so sweet!
HOWDY YALL, TURKEY MUSHROOMS... TIS THE SEASON LOL... BEAUTIFUL WALK THANKS MEL N GARY, GREAT VIBES!! ITS ABOUT 70°F OVER HERE N AR. THANK YOU FOR SHARING♡!!! ACE💌💌
I’d like to think it was my idea for you to take a camera with you in order to get a view of the house from the mountain instead of the usual Mountain View from the house. So here’s another idea: Christmas is coming, so how about picking one or more of those trees way up there and decorating it/them with some solar powered lights so you can see the lights from the house??
Oh, and I just have to say, Scarlett has to be the absolutely most adorable ten year old human being on earth right now. She has a smiling face that could stop wars. (I heard that on tv a long time ago, but I remembered it as soon as I saw her by the birthday cake.)
Thank you sooo much for the beautiful nature walk. The colorful leaves, the wildlife and even the spider web. It’s all so beautiful. I love the moss covered rocks and the view from above. Awesome. Thank you 😊
Hiya Mel and Gary Just love the walk you guys what on it so beautiful . Absolutely adore the goats . You absolutely spill us . Stunning. The kids had a great time and happy birthday to Scarlett . Definitely the bottles will come in handy and one would make a lovely vase . 🙏❤️👍
I’m so jealous of your 41.36 acres! I would built a small cabin on that peak where you were “eye to eye” with the horizon. Clear a couple of trees to unblock the view…
I love the reference of the rocks being the trolls in frozen and I also love rocks. They are beautiful God‘s blessings 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏 be safe thanks for the wonderful tour!
Beautiful property, so peaceful to be able to take walks. Nature is really something to appreciate. Love the old jars. Will make pretty vases. Could hand paint designs on some or do sand art in them. Looks like the Birthday party was fun! ❤🇺🇲🙏
CORRECT MEL! Ring pull tops were used until 1975! I specifically remember when the new tabs came out ( it was kind of a big deal LOL) but didn't think it had been that long . I was thinking 80's When you see a very large tree truck that looks like it was bent, supposedly the Indians use to bend saplings to make their trails. When have many of those in East Tn from the Cherokee Tribe. Just s cool piece of history I wasnt sure you guys weren't aware of since you guys are fairly new to this part of the country
Hi guys!! Thanks so much for the awesome hike!! So many beautiful sites. I really liked the shade of green the moss was and how soft it was. You could use that in a terrarium. I liked the idea of putting fairy lights in a glass bottle someone mentioned and maybe put colored glass pieces around the outside of it. 💜😊
Lovely walk in the woods I have taken many and enjoyed this especially with the music a nice touch as its usually so quiet. Thank you so very much you made my evening
My mother was raised in and around Boonville and mostly Waldern, and my grandpaw and my uncle's were known to run moonshine during the depression, but people would do most anything back then inorder to feed there family.
Mel, that was like a Disney movie! Hope you paid the guys with the fog machines extra.😂 Happy birthday Scarlett! Looks like it was a great party even in the rain. Growing up so fast.... Texas Deb ❤️
Now this was A Great Video!! ❤Peaceful Calm Music a Walk In the Woods. LOVE ROCKS! ❤️Moss & Beautiful Sound of the Creeks. Gary talking About His Dream of a Zip Line like when You All were at the Beginning of Your Journey!! 😊 Scarlett 🎉❤10th BIRTHDAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET GIRL!!❤ I So Wish I could still Walk in the Woods & Touch the Moss! Thank You for THIS ONE... ❤ That Moonshiner May Have Known 2 of My Great Uncle's from MO, like Me that were Still trying to Outrun the Law Well into there 80's. 😂 TRUE STORY!!
Mel you are correct 💯 I pulled a many of those pull tabs in the 1970s ! And they was notorious for cutting you and I think that's why they stopped making them and designed the inward pop in soda can ! I can't remember how many times I cut myself on those old pull tabs. The bottling companies was probably sued for them is probably the reason they stopped making the pull tabs. But if you didn't get your fingers out of the way when you pulled that pulled the aluminum tab it would split you wide open like a sharp 🪒 blade. They made those from the 50s to 70s my understanding.
Love the show. I would love to see more like this!I I can't get out very much! Nature helps calm me down! Been à rough week Thanks far sharing calls world!
Hello Mel and Gary, the sprite soda can is an early 70’s, like you were saying Mel. Absolutely loved this video! God bless you and your family! Stay safe! Bye
Happy birthday Scarlet🥳 love the old bottles bring a couple back n date the bottoms to mark your walk abouts Y’all need to get some metal detectors n find treasure
I always carry a tote bag and a trash with me when I go exploring. Trash goes in the trash bag and treasures go in the tote. Either way you are preserving the beauty of nature.
Definitely the 70's I remember them i was born 62 so used to drink from them as a child. Though i believe first introduced in the 60's so could even be from the 60's
If I remember correctly, that large bottle with the lines on the neck held either grape or apple juice. I believe it was apple juice, I forget the brand. Motts?
Enjoyed the video… beautiful property! And great views! It would be hard hunting because I would be watching all the vistas, having my prayer time and listening to God speak!

Fill the bottles with tiny Christmas decorations and fairy lights for cute decorations… or any holiday thanksgiving, Easter, Halloween, etc

The tree you pointed out looks symmetrical , didn't know if you saw that . I did .
Good video. ❤
❤ your property, nothing more relaxing than a walkout in nature with your significant other.
I'd use them for vases. You can also do a project with the kids using colored sand that would look cool too.
Love all the pics of the woods and creeks ! Brings back so many wonderful memories from my child hood! Cant wait to retire back to the country! God bless you as you grow!
Fall leaves and some fairy lights would be cool in the glass bottles. Thanks for taking us on your walk 🥰🙏👍
