See this is the problem with most of you complaining. Not saying this is every Switch owner but most of you...this goes to you as well Sony fans. A game you like is announced for a specific console. You buy that console for that specific game. 8 times out of 10 you can only afford or care to own 1 console every generation. you are then locked to this console and all it's IPs then another game you might like launches on another console. A fanboy mentality is then formed to reassure yourself you made the right choice and this continues into adulthood. This is how the console wars was born And now we are here
For real, I never understood the console war stuff. If you can only buy one console, buy the one that has/is more likely to have the games you know you’re gonna enjoy. Doesn’t matter what others think, it’s your money and enjoyment that matter.

Best guess, P5R is a DLC/Rework of P5 (In this day and age, a number of aspects both mechanically and story-wise would need to be changed to consitute it being a standalone) And P5S is the Switch version of P5R
You know I did play p5 and I do have a PS4 Pro? @@BasedReda Sony doesnt own a thing about persona. Persona/shinmagamitensi are in a unique situation as they are owned by Sega and Sega rarely issues publishing rights for its iPs. That's how their staple character sonic appears on so many platforms right now. Atlus can put any game on any platform they want, they just prefers playstation because playstation has the right demographics and the technology is probably easier to work with.
With all of the weird side games of Persona, I seriously wouldn't be surprised if this was "P5 Rumble or P5 Racing". Hopefully it's a remake like P4 Golden.

If you notice you can see the Persona 4 Arena logo in the video....Persona 5 Rumble. So this announcement is possibly a continuum of Persona 4 Arena just now called Persona 5 Rumble. It be odd to keep calling it Persona 4 Arena with P5 characters even tho P4A had P3 characters they wouldn't call is Persona 3 Arena.

There shouldn't be a problem with it being in other consoles, other than some console war stupidity from dum people with nothing else to do in their lives. Exclusive content should only be accepted in first party developers.
If this is the typical Persona + new content game, I wish they release it a bit later in this year, maybe in summer or so. To be fair Atlus is still making P5 relevant as there is still merchandise to sell later in this year (I mean Makoto figma is expected to be released in July) so it wasn't really unexpected. My only complaint is that it won't come to PC unless Atlus finally understand that pc gaming is a thing outside japan.

Best guess, P5R is a DLC/Rework of P5
(In this day and age, a number of aspects both mechanically and story-wise would need to be changed to consitute it being a standalone)
And P5S is the Switch version of P5R

@@BasedReda Sony doesnt own a thing about persona. Persona/shinmagamitensi are in a unique situation as they are owned by Sega and Sega rarely issues publishing rights for its iPs. That's how their staple character sonic appears on so many platforms right now.
Atlus can put any game on any platform they want, they just prefers playstation because playstation has the right demographics and the technology is probably easier to work with.

With all of the weird side games of Persona, I seriously wouldn't be surprised if this was "P5 Rumble or P5 Racing". Hopefully it's a remake like P4 Golden.

Its gonna be an nintendo style atlus direct, where they anounce that every persona game (incuding the spinoffs) are coming to the switch, along with catherine full body switch port anouncement. Then we'll also get smt 5 trailer and release date, and project refantasy info. Then at the end we'll get conformation that persona 6 is in development and get a soft release year.

If you notice you can see the Persona 4 Arena logo in the video....Persona 5 Rumble. So this announcement is possibly a continuum of Persona 4 Arena just now called Persona 5 Rumble. It be odd to keep calling it Persona 4 Arena with P5 characters even tho P4A had P3 characters they wouldn't call is Persona 3 Arena.

There shouldn't be a problem with it being in other consoles, other than some console war stupidity from dum people with nothing else to do in their lives.

If this is the typical Persona + new content game, I wish they release it a bit later in this year, maybe in summer or so. To be fair Atlus is still making P5 relevant as there is still merchandise to sell later in this year (I mean Makoto figma is expected to be released in July) so it wasn't really unexpected.
My only complaint is that it won't come to PC unless Atlus finally understand that pc gaming is a thing outside japan.
