It’s so ironic that this song is all about realising that what you thought you wanted was not as good as what you’ve got now and that is legit what happened to Autumn. She didn’t need Elle she’s gone on to better things.
Exactly right. Whilst she was runner-up in the search for Elle Wood for the musical, she's had a much richer and varied career than Bailey Hanks, performing in various productions up to the present day being acclaimed for her performances both Off-Broadway and in other productions and she's won two awards for her role in a musical, Chicago's Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Musical in 2009 for her role in the Outer Critics Circle Award-nominated musical "Tomorrow Morning" and in the same year she was awarded the FringeNYC Overall Excellence Award for Outstanding Actor for originating the role of Abby Lawrence in the comedy hit: "A Contemporary American's Guide to a Successful Marriage, 1959". Since 2011 she's been in Off-Broadway productions and she did star as Elle Woods in "Legally Blonde: The Musical" at the North Carolina Theatre in 2012. And although Bailey Hanks did win this competition and therefore starred as Elle Woods in the musical for 3 months in 2008 on Broadway and later that year played Sharpay Evans in a production of High School Musical for about a month, besides a short stint on tv and in two 'Step Up' movies, she has not had much of a career performing and she's now does not seem likely to return to performing as she has settled down to marry, start a family, and is now a hairdresser. This won't necessarily stop her from returning to singing or performances but compared with Autumn Bailey doesn't seem to have made as much of winning this competition as she might have. It does seem that it's actual runners-up rather than winners of singing competitions and other reality tv competitions who have more successful careers as performers .This may be to do with the drive the runner-up has after they just miss out on the top spot and also frequently the actual reasons someone wins a competition has more to do with other matters than with actual talent. So often in shows like "The Voice" and "Australian Idol", to name two well-known Australian competitions that follow the format of the US versions, and also the US versions we find that it is often the runners-up who go on to have much more successful careers as performers.

Tbh who cares who won, that show was not good for anyone and the girls knew it(especially when they gave them that terrible questionnaire). All of them are extremely talented and went onto to great things

QUEEN RETURNS TEN YEARS LATER OMG
Can you believe she has 2 kids? - she's just as fiery as ever. I just adore her sooooooooooo much!
I don’t usually like when songs are given a new spin on rhythms and style. That being said; Brava 👌🏼
I think opposite when it comes to covers… but the exception is musicals. This one was so cool though.
So late but I changed my mind after seeing mariah rose faith's covers of heathers
Just super, Autumn. So glad that numbers from your solo show have been posted.
who else noticed that she messed up the lyrics in the beginning? she said “a cool ironic twist” instead of "does someone know that I exist"
Amazing! Such an adorable version of a beloved legally blond song! Hit replay for a couple of times now
The au where Elle Woods got drunk in so much better lol
Eeeoooooowwwwww she should have won
Ugh her voice is so amazing. Still robbed. Yes I know it's been 13 years 😂
#justiceforautumn
She won in my book
Autumn was my favorite.
Carlos Alejandro Alvarenga oh my god I see you everywhere! Shook

Im so bitter that she didnt get elle still
i see she recovered from that haircut
Oh my god, it’s Juliette Lewis
Was she Baileys understudy?
Yes, but I think someone else was the stand-by. The order goes stand-by then understudy.
@@ChristophProbst I thought it was understudy then standby

There was no standby for Elle. There were two understudies. When the show closed they were Kate Rockwell (Margot at the time) and Autumn (Ensemble).
This girl is a fucking legend! This girl needs to be on broadway like asap!
this BOPS
AMAZING!! Wow!!!
Is it just me or does she sounds a little like Idina Menzel 😍😍😍😍
