You can get Popuri's Photo after getting married, but you have to be single for Karen, Elli, Maria and Ann's. You can get Maria's in Summer Year 2, as long as you're married by the 25th (Baby will be born Spring 26th, Year 3). You also need 10 people other than your wife at 160 affection so they show up to your party, in addition to the 2,494 global affection. The global affection usually puts enough people over 160, but early last year we found you do need a full party. Good luck with your playthrough, I'll be sure to watch :^)

For the festival where you become the king, you only have to replay the 11th and 12th, not the 10th. I know that because that's what I did in my let's play (and, considering it took me five tries to become king, I'm glad I didn't have to replay the 10th as well). I assume how it works is the game chooses the king as soon as you sleep on the 11th.
Why on EARTH would you do the grass planting in Spring of Year 2? The report happens on Summer Year 3. Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to use that farm space for more crops and save up money to do a two-day planting session in Spring of Year 3? It's not like grass takes a long time to grow.

I prefer using rocks to wood to fence my yard. I understand you need a golden hammer to smash the boulder on the frozen lake, but, presuming I can manage that, is it okay to keep rocks on my property? I mean: will it hurt my score at the grading period? I need to play the perfect game, but I'd prefer to keep the rocks if I am able. So, I guess question number two is: do I have to have the whole property covered in grass if I prefer to keep a section without?

You don't have to replay Fall 10 to get another chance to win Harvest King. Going back to the 11th works just fine

The main character's name is Pete, not Jack.
That actually wasn't the case until Friends of Mineral Town. The N64 instruction booklet refers to him as Jack.
