These definitely include the Do's and Don'ts of Auditioning for WGI and DCI, but many of the nuances can only be acquired through experience and coaching.

Great video, tips i wish i knew beforehand
This is great, and I want mooooooore.
Thank you 👌🏾
Hi! I just started percussion at the beginning of the marching season last year switching from trombone.(drill stressed me out freshman year😅) I can’t believe I didn’t switch sooner because I love it so much! I have always had the thought of wanting to do dci because my dad(also my band director) has always said one of his biggest regrets in life is not doing dci. I never thought it would happen on trombone because I never liked the instrument enough to be motivated to get better. Now with percussion, it would be a dream to get a spot on one of these groups after high school. My question is REALISTICALLY can people learn everything you need to know and be really good at in 2 years? That’s all I’ve got. I want this so bad but I’m afraid even if I do everything in my power, I just don’t have enough time to develop the skills I would need
I am in the same situation, I do not have much experience but wanna do DCI after high school. People have told me it's possible and I've seen people do it firsthand. If you work hard enough it is possible.
I’d say personally 2 years is more than enough time. I marched this last season with legends as a baritone and I’ve been playing low brass instruments for 4 or so years but if you know how to practice and have the drive to do it which it sounds like you do then 100% you’ll be able to do it
Really helpful stuff thank you 🙏
Wishing you luck! 💪👏
