    The last update contained some changes to stealth which may or may not nerf this build. It's unclear (probably deliberately) how the new changes would affect this build. Let me know if you try this build if it still works as in the video.

    Notes:
    1. You can use a silencer on your SMG and instead of using it as a panic weapon, you can actually use it to take down the stronger zombies that don't die in one hit. Use laser sight and fore grip for good hip accuracy, in case something goes wrong and you need to actually panic gun (never happened to me though, even in outdoors POIs).
    2. If you want, you can do this build REALLY quickly, tier 3/4 Assassin's gear works wonders already and you are basically invisible, if you buy a Machete early you can basically do the stuff shown in the video really early. In this case you don't even have to invest into knives, the sneak damage is actually a huge enough boost.
    3. Crossbow is not necessary, with this build you can do with Desert Vulture or Sniper Rifle if you prefer it (I actually prefer Sniper Rifle over Crossbow), or you can just use SMG for the stuff you usually use Crossbow for (p. 1).
    4. Carry explosives. I am not kidding. A sneak attack with a grenade deals 4.5x damage, and you get instantly forgotten anyways; in many POIs there's an absolute fricking overload of zombies in one single spot (Minotaur Theater, roofs on all three Tier 5 Factories, etc.), and if you throw two/three grenades and then throw that sneak grenade, you can really quickly have a big amount of flying limbs. And yeah, sometimes it might be easier to just sneak, but where's fun in that: I see zombie blob I explode zombie blob. Also really good if a big zombie group is chasing you, explosives are amazing no matter the build.

      Solid advice here. I build tier 3 set, focus one weapon and From the Shadows perk, and loot large houses for books.

      i use a silencer on the vulture as well, as I focus on bows and crossbows rather than the knife... I'm not quite the perfect NightStalker lol

      For number 4. I pretty much combo that by purposely waking up the zombies in a floor. Then I crouch and threw a rock at a central point to clump them up. Then pretty much it's fireworks time.
      Might be ineffecient, but I'm having so much fun doing goofy stuff like that.

      @@zorenmaniego5698 That method sounds not only very fun but also quite smart. I think I used sorta similiar strategy, but without explosives (because it was earlier in the game, tier 4 quests)

    During horde night, stay crouched, and you'll occasionally still get sneak bonus damage. It happened during my play through when doing this. Even with silenced guns.

    I understand why you think this should be nerfed, but to me nerfing it would be silly. If you went to the trouble of going through all those steps, investing in-game days, dukes, materials, legendary parts, and that many skill points, then you deserve to be the night stalker. Nerfing it would just make the whole exercise pointless, and it's not like you can't switch to other builds anyway.

  • @vohrtechs5974
    @vohrtechs5974 2 місяці тому +2

    I don't think they will nerf this. You can do most of this without the assassin set, so they would have to change perks to nerf this playstyle. Sometimes you can leave the room throw a block on a wall and parkour up and they just forget you were there. Breaking line of sight and not making noise is all it takes.
    The compound bow works extremely well with this also. It has a faster fire rate than the crossbow, is silent, and leg cripples give you the breathing room to lose zombies with ease.

      cheat. have a loud unsilenced gun, wander around popping a few shots tends to lute them out. or hot swap all the armor for another set to pull them out and run.

      Agreed... it's the reason why after doing this build for quite a while, I decided to switch to M60 and ditched the stealth and bow perks for Machine Gunner and finished my POIs faster...
      T6 Infestations frustrated me quite a bit on how much of a slog they were for stealth builds, not to mention the hide-and-seek you play with the zombies and all the backtracking to trigger spawns you missed eats even more time...

    My problem with this build is finding the tier 5~6 POI zombies. Since you don't wake them up they end up not showing on the map sometimes, and those who are based on events you do sometimes don't get triggered when you sneak, so sometimes is a pain in the ass to finish those POI's.
    But it is a god tier build, you never get seen, ever.

    Instead of a crossbow, use a silenced sniper rifle. It's stupid good, and reloads are very fast comparatively.
    My horde base compliments this playstyle. I buy into penetrator and get them to all line up. Then I'm killing 2-3 at one time with AP 7.62. I just finished a day 28 horde in about 300 rounds before 1am.

      "instead of using the silent weapon with the 400% stealth modifier that is part of the tree you are already using to make the rest of the build, invest another 12-15 skill points into perception to use a rifle from another tree that does not fully silence and does less damage per shot after accounting for stealth modifiers"
      You sure can do that. That's an option you certainly have.

    • @superezbz
      @superezbz 2 місяці тому

      @@IzPrebuilt I prefer to look at it like I have 22 shots on tap and they tend to forget where I'm at anyway and most of the time it's a one-shot kill even to the body. So yeah. But I get where you're coming from also.

    • @IzPrebuilt
      @IzPrebuilt  2 місяці тому

      I guess if you went hard into perception you could add snipers and penetrator and use a suppressed sniper but i think the crossbow still has the higher damage because of it's % modifier.

    here is a braindead method of farming red loot bags, am not talking about 2 or 3 am talking about 7-10 every night and here is how: tier 5 or 6 Assassin and max out from the death shadows perk and finale use a silencer on the 9mm pistole and go the the Wasteland. In the Wasteland you wanna look for zombie bears and dire wolfs to to kill, obviously you wanna sneak first and shoot at them, and at night with these perks you can shoot at them 10 times in the row and still get the bonus damage and they will never even react to your shoots or even see you, which means you will not be attacked and your damage will be 8x the normal amount. They always drop red loot bags when killed and they are broken, especially on the wasteland (with the wasteland loot bonus) , you may even get a tier 5 sniper on 10 if you are lucky and not only that you will get a lot of ammo and a LOOOT of books, just imagine getting 12- 20 of your class books on the same night and a lot of good loot.

    I know it won't be a popular opinion, but personally I think the thing that should be nerfed is Fergit'n Elixir -- I'd remove it from the game entirely -- so that if you want this kind of build, or any other "OP" build like the stun baton with maxed intellect perks, you either have to commit to it from the outset and truly earn it early, dealing with the resulting early-game limitations, or only get it late(r) in the game when you have sufficient skill points to spare.
