It was a horrible adaption that did not do her novel justice. One of the biggest disappointments was them changing the gin and tonic in a can to vodka in a water bottle. Why? 🤷‍♀️ One of the most memorable aspects of the novel was just thrown away. Emily Blunt was also miscast as Rachel. Rachel wasn’t skinny. Reading “A Slow Burning Fire”🔥 now and it is great. The character of Laura kind of reminds me of Rachel. Laura is skinny.

Respect the authors opinion. You only read it you didnt write it.

I mean, what about Dr. Kamal? He was made Venezuelan in adaptation, which makes no sense with his name.

I wish you had asked her about how she felt about the adaptation.

I don't think it is Penguin's intention to have authors potentially skewer the adaptations, which I think is understandable
