It was a horrible adaption that did not do her novel justice. One of the biggest disappointments was them changing the gin and tonic in a can to vodka in a water bottle. Why? 🤷♀️ One of the most memorable aspects of the novel was just thrown away. Emily Blunt was also miscast as Rachel. Rachel wasn’t skinny. Reading “A Slow Burning Fire”🔥 now and it is great. The character of Laura kind of reminds me of Rachel. Laura is skinny.

I mean, what about Dr. Kamal? He was made Venezuelan in adaptation, which makes no sense with his name.
