You have saved me from buying a new beretta I have the 92a1 9mm and I was going to get a beretta chamber on 22 large but I came across your video and I’m so grateful good video
Some reasons to get conversion. I have trigger done in my 92fs and stainless hammer and wood grips. Also I dont think you have to do background check for conversion but not 100% on that.
Trigger discipline please...I’m literally whincing through this entire thing. I know the gun is clear, but if you’re in the habit of fingering the trigger when clear, you’ll be fingering the trigger when loaded, too. Just ordered the kit for my 92FS...my understanding is that the conversion kit is now made by Umarex and not Beretta....thanks for the clarification..
@@Luissm99 It also depends on the ammo you use. like it doesnt work very well with SuperX Winchesters, nor Aguila. But works well with the green box cheap Golden Boy Remingtons and CCI.
hi, friend. I have the same 22LR kit with 92fs stainless steel and it is difficult to exchange barrels because of how hard it gets, the doubt arises with target standard speed lead bullets. Do they damage the cannon? Or do you recommend the copper tip ones? Thank you very much and merry christmas
How is the fit and finish of the Umarex parts and functional reliability? The price of the complete Umarex pistol is the same essentially as the 22LR conversion kit. Any thoughts on which form factor would be a better bang for the buck????? Better to have 2 pistols or one? I would lean toward conversion so you have exactly the same trigger functionality as shooting 9mm ammo. Thoughts would be appreciated. THANX
In another video I watched it mention NOT dry firing this pistol , hope the person that receives mine in form the store I purchased it from WON'T dry fire mine as they play with it while waiting for me to come and pick it up
Beautiful weapon, beautiful and simple conversion. My girlfriend will have a FAR easier time learning to shoot my PT92 with this .22 conversion. I would have thought that the strike mechanism would also need to be changed since they are going from center to rimfire ammo.
I bought this kit, the one made by Beretta and it cost me $348. It has failure-to-fire due to light strikes about 1 round in 10... at first i thought it was the old ammo i was using until i used 3 other kinds of ammo and still have the same problem... pulling the trigger again always fires the round (i.e. a second hammer blow will make the round fionally fire...) Not sure how i'd go about fixing it!
@@eason850222 I think the firing pin spring is probably too strong. If I really wanted to fix it I'd replace it with a lighter one and see what happened. But I don't care enough about fixing it to actually strip the slide and go changing parts.
Yes, the m9 is the same gun as the 92fs. The differences are the m9 has government markings and a blacked out sights. While the 92fs is for the civilian market so there is no need for government markings and it has 3 white dots on the sights.
@@xRyden420x That's awesome! You should check out Langdon Tactical for their Trigger Job in a Bag Kit, it's a nice trigger upgrade. It brought my single action trigger down from 6.5lbs to 3lbs 12oz so almost 4 lbs. And my double action down from 9.5lbs to 6.5lbs.
...Nice video...nice kit,....But the .22 barrel must be heavier than the 9mm barrel as there's more steel in the barrel with the smaller bore...(unless the.22 barrel is sleeved)
After many machinations and spring changes and ammo changes (most recently CCI Mini Mags), I’ve given up on this total and complete piece of shit. It’s a great idea...but the light strikes, misfeeds, failures to feed, failures to extract and did I mention light strikes are just too much. I’m seeing if Beretta will take this toad back...fingers crossed.
Light strikes? I call bullsh.t, the hammer spring was not changed over, all you did was change over the slide, barrel, and recoil spring, which is lightened to .22LR recoil. There is also an unwritten rule about .22LR in autoloading pistols, they're very finicky concerning hollow points, my Ruger Mk. II hated them, as well as my old Colt and S&W .22LR autoloading pistols.
Did you oil the contact and povot points before shooting? When I first got my 92FS the magazine release was super tough to depeess, but after some initial maintenance, and letting a lot of oil to soak into the area, it's like butter now. Of course I field stripped wiped everything down before shooting it the first time.
I’ve been shooting Tule, Wolf and Red Army Standard in mine with no issues. Some ranges don’t like steel case because they have to pick through all the spent shells to recylcle the brass, but other than that, other than maybe running a little dirtier, I’ve seen no difference in performance.
Because steel case is abrasive to the chamber compared to brass, steel on steel, essentially the same metal alloy, and most likely the same hardness as well.
You talked entirely too.much on this video. All we wanted.to see was an overview of what it is, how it is assembled, and how it shoots. This video should.have been about 8mins thanks though
