The M & Ms are clearly for guests & family because the cleaners weren't told otherwise. If you are hired to clean their house, are you either of those titles? My grandmother, who is almost 92, has a bowl of candy out & when her cleaning lady comes she tells her that she can take a couple if she'd like. If you don't hear that, you've gotta go by that they just aren't for you & leave them be. Are 3 M & Ms worth your job & an arrest record? (Yep, you absolutely can & likely would be arrested if you take those candies from an employer's house & are still there when they notice or have you on camera doing so. You may not be prosecuted after the arrest but I wouldn't bet on it. It's considered a worse level of crime than if you had shoplifted a whole bag from a store). I'd say just bring your own & live to "fight" another day.

my girlfriend cleans houses for a living, she is fantastic and honest, but if I don't clean at home, the place will fall apart. Literally. Once she gets home, she is done cleaning. No laundry, no vacuum, no sweeping, no dusting. I try, but I have very low standards, so our place is sorta messy.
i used to have a maid come in every wenesday and she was a good maid, she also had her husband help her sometimes and he painted our whole house! Good people.

Yes they are heavily trained and the customers are "insured" so it comes straight outta our paycheck and yes the police do get involved as well!!! I used to work for "The Maids" so i am really familiar with this. Customers used to also leave trash on purpose in places that were meant to be moved like picture frames and candles, to make sure we were cleaning correctly. I caught it everytime!!!!
One of my mom's friends was nice enough to let me work for her whenever I needed some extra cash as a teenager. And sometimes if one of her workers called in sick, I'd go really just to help her out. It was kind of a win win for both of us. Anyways, one thing I always did was keep my hands in sight. These were all VERY wealthy people. Their kids would have $20 under the bed. Jewelry everywhere. But it wasn't mine. You have to have this mentality where you just respect these people and their home enough to just do the right thing. Especially respecting the company you represent. These people shouldn't have to hide their belongings. If the wife left a ring on the counter I'd pick it up and take it over to her where she kept her rings on her dressed. They shouldn't have to worry about me cleaning off the shelves in their medicine cabinets, and not putting everything back.
During a business trip, a coworker of mine was on the toilet in his hotel room with the bathroom door slightly cracked open . The maid came in but didn’t hear him when she knocked and opened the entry door. She immediately goes to the safe in the closet which is in his line of vision and starts rummaging through his belongings. He addressed her, still sitting in the toilet, and she apologized and ran out quickly. That was a few years ago and I haven’t thought much of it until watching this lol Just sharing. See I've cleaned professionally for years, if i find money like that laying around, I call the homeowner and advise them they've left money out and ask if they want me to put it somewhere secure.
My maid lie all the time, about food, merchandise, and even my family's stuff, she wears them secretly, been working for atleast 11 years, I don't care but lying about OUR stuff? Not even her's? Pisses me off

Even in the throws of withdrawals I’d never steal pills or anything else. I guess I’m what you’d call an honest person.
My mum cleaned houses for about 10+ years, and in that time she got heaps of free hand me downs, but i think occasionally she stole a few small things here and there, like spare change, cleaning supplies and i think when my sister and i were in our gameboy phase she got us old gameboy games from someones house, i don't think she ever got let go or fired from any houses she cleaned and i din't think she ever got caught either, because she did a very thorough job and it was hard work. I even came along growing up during some school holidays, some of the houses were a lot richer then ours, i remember one house, big white mansion with a swimming pool, owned was a single divorcee living off her ex's wealth, 2 disfunctional messy kids and 2 dogs that shit in the house, my mum made a house i would refuse to walk in because of the smell, 8 hour cleaning job, look like a 5 star hotel job, so......
It's awesome that they all passed. I guess it makes sense though. If you steal you wouldn't last long in the business and it wouldn't be that hard to figure out who stole it.
