    Question
Does it need to be from the previous year?
It's 2023 and my new employer asked me to fill out a TD1 form from 2021. I was wondering if she send me the wrong form with the wrong year and it should be 2022 instead.

Hi there. I have doubts about line 8. I am a single mother and sole caregiver of a 5 years old. She does not work, so she does not have any income. What amount should I put in this box? The rest of the boxes do not apply to me, except for box one, where I would write the complete amount given by the government. Help please!

Line 8 My child is not infirm, but he is 3 so he doesn’t have a net income. do I enter 15000 because there is no difference or do I leave it ?

If I’m not eligible do I leave it blank or put 0

If there's any line that doesn't apply to you, you can leave it blank! Great question.

So based on this, if I have a child who is not infirm and a spouse living with me and not dependent then I wouldn’t get any of the dependent credits?

Yes, you can claim tuition fees for the year in which you paid them, regardless of when you completed your studies .
