excellent and most informative! Thak you.
You are welcome!
Cool charging station! Good to see more of these rest area-style locations appear. Is there more than one in the UK? I went to the futuristic Hyundai charging station in eastern Seoul twice when I lived there. Expensive charging there, but an excellent local café (Terarosa) upstairs. Now I'm back in the US and don't have a car and don't get around much these days, but I'm not familiar with any integrated stations. But it's a huge country, so I'm sure there must be ;-) I think Starbucks was going to partner with one of the charging systems here for a Seattle-Denver route.
They're popping up all over the place. Gridserve specifically now has two like this, with plenty more planned. Shell and others are doing the same. There's a long way to go, but charging infrastructure is improving every day...
Subbed purely because you had a good go at that Japanese translation
need one about charging at home + getting a charger installed
Watch this space!
Informative and useful
Glad it was helpful!
They really need to standardise on one plug type, imagine trying to charge and the charger available is the wrong type 😱
Has the video not been graded properly by any chance? 🤨
Is the video a bit too dark for anyone else?
it's slightly dark, but not enough to matter.
You should have explained why stopping at 80%!
To charge from 80% to 100% the BMS on the car throttles the charge so it doesn't overheat the battery.
So charging time can add another 45mins to 1hr.
PHEVs should never charge at a rapid charger only overnight charging for them, the BMS in PHEVs is extremely slow.
Oh by the way BEV will only charge to a given rate not what the charging port says as example the charging port can deliver 120kW
The car BMS might have a maximum of 85kw, you will only charge to 85kW or less.
Well you just made the type 2 AC charging sound more complicated than need be. What a Horlicks of a video.
This charging station is going to popularize drinking tea, if it hasn't already
