Long time Viewers will Remember my First MK1 LEGO Technic Pneumatic V8 Engine, which revved out to 1500 RPM. This MK2 Version has been Redesigned to use the Newer Style Pneumatic Switches and the Engine Performance has been Tuned to over 2200 RPM! The Engine Housing also has been made Stronger and more Sleek. Since building the MK2 Engine, I have designed a New MK3 V8 LPE with More Power and Turbos!

Me
Yes!
Who wouldn’t!?
Definitely!
YES
Sounds like a turbodiesel and i really like it :D
Thanks
😀
Damn, this whistle when the engine (with propeller) spins down is nice :D It runs so smooth. Great project. Again :)
Thank you! Glad you Liked It. Yes the Whistle down noise is pretty 10/10
Did you actually buy this
@@cahatari507 he said at the start of the video that it is his MOC
Perfect timing, Technic is coming out with a Dodge Charger set. I’m gonna LS swap your motor in lol
Awesome!
I think it wouldnt fit, this engine Is too big

The engine is to powerfull for a lego car
That v8 for me sounds like old diesel v8 with huge turbo from heavy truck, and it sounds very nice
It does! thanks
More New Pneumatic Engines are Being Designed, Including a LPE Turbo Charger, which I will also Make Available as a Add on Kit. What Type Engine Should I Build Next? Bugatti W16 Engine? Stay Tuned
try to build a VR6 engine
Radial engine
@@dimka1312 Great idea, they're very interesting engines
How about a v12 that has a smaller angle on it than 90°
Good idea!
Coming from a professional mechanic... you absolutely nailed the engine sound!
Thanks!
For the people complaining saying that he doesn’t upload enough: stop these are hard to make MOC’s and he puts alot of effort into them and pushes out good quality content it’s actually impressive how quickly he builds this stuff i would like to see you make stuff like this and do weekly uploads like you are suggesting its hard to do
Yet to see a comment like that.
Someone needs to upscale this and make a full-blown lego car engine.
The Engine sounds like how a tank or WW2 aircraft would sound, beautiful
New Items Added to my Store! You can now Purchase Modified LEGO Pneumatic Cylinders and Switches, Check them out here - greengeckoworkshop.com
dang! nice job! that thing is smooth running! wish i could afford to buy one. i will definitely be referencing this video to aid in some of my LPEs.
Thank you!
As I'm from New Zealand it is nice to see someone call it a kiwifruit rather than just a kiwi.
Saying "I like eating a kiwi" Sounds like you want to eat a bird or a person or something :)
nice video btw.
And going up in New Zealand we used to call them Chinese gooseberries
The sound is just amazing dude.
With the propeller attached it's very nice
Very nicely done!
Great sounds!
I for one would LOVE to see you do a V6 version of this.
Wow, so nice to see that you are back with a new video! :D
And as always a great video, the sound is amazing! :o
Thank you, Yes I will be posting lots of New Videos This Year!
Perfect. Sounds good!
Thanks!
Excited for the ripsaw!
Super cool
sound very good
Holy shit that's awesome.
sound 10/10
It looks and sounds amazing!!! Wish you uploaded more.
Thank you! Studying Engineering takes a lot of time up and I live on the beach and go surfing, But at the moment i have lots of free time so i will make some more new videos
Awesome
Very nice the sound of the engien 👌
Nice!
That actually sounds incredible
This sound is gorgeous! ❤️
Glad you like it!
Aww it runs much smoother than mk 1 👏
This engine's sound is evocative of an old Detroit Diesel 2-stroke and I love it :D
It actually is remarkable how similar it sounds! But this is a double acting engine, which is even better than 2 stroke!
that sounds so good man
Great work G G!! That sounds frick'n sweet!!!
Thanks
the sound is amazing!# 10/10
thanks
I would rate engine 10/10 sounds great
What a wonderful sound💯
Thank you!
Really good sound
Thank you!
Very nice.
Thank you
To reduce wear-n-tear, use silicone grease!
It's good for all plastics.
This lego engine you made is a masterpeice and it's magestic
Thank you!
I am going to spend all my money just for that beautiful creation
the sound is 10/10
GAS GAS GAS!
Very nice video! You should build a rally car LPE powered at some point
Thank you! Great idea! After the Switch-less LPE we were talking about
Dang, that sounded great! If only it was possible to put that in an RC car
I mean you could it would just have to be very big and have the right pieces and also the engine costs alot
@@TacoIntrusion I'm building fully funcional Ford Thunderbird 10th generation. I already have working 4 speed gearbox, clutch and now I'm building the engine. Then I'm building chassis. The body will be from painted panels from cardboard. I'm planning to make working headlights
The wait was long, but worth it! Absolutely incredible! I think I’m gonna buy it!
Awesome! Thank you very much, all goes towards supporting the Channel
Green Gecko Lego Technic Workshop is the price in $US?
Impressive
Thanks!
Awesome enginr bro
I love thid sound
Sick i lovw these videos, don't stop creating these videos because not only me but many other people are inspired by this
Thank you!
Dam I just made the Old V8 now seeing this engine would be even better
Exelent job, sounds almost like real engine
Awesome video mate!
Thank you
Sounds like an old diesel inline 4, fantastic!
10/10 sound for lego v8
10/10
you did it again you crazy man.
Haha yes, Thank you!
Great to see someone picking up the torch where DrDudeNL and Nicjasno left off
Thanks, yeah I think its just me now still designing them.
Well, keep at it man. LPEs are a ton of fun, having built a few myself, but it seems like fewer and fewer people know about them or how to build them anymore :/
Does infact sound like an engine of car. 130/10!!!
Rated 5/5 perfect
you dont upload often but when you do its a amazing video
Thank you! Yes i am aware of that haha
Man I wish LEGO made just like these. They are really missing out. Good working engine!
He back :D
New Year... New Engines 😀
nice
Thanks
Powerrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!
11/10 It sounds like a cleon fonté 1400cc!
Gotta say, I am tempted to buy one of these.
Send me a email at greengeckoltc@gmail.com, I can work out an discount for you possibly.
That's incredible!!! It sounds like an old school V8 engine..... Probably because of the pushrod camshaft
*Subbed
Thanks!
@@GreenGeckoLegoTechnicWorkshop you have to try arranging the intakes so it looks like an LS head lol
The sound just blew me away!
You have to put this beast in a Lego RC!!!!
Now this i have to see in perhaps a Rat-Rod?
Pros:
-Less parts needed than other designs. (It would be bigger than 1/8 scale likely...)
-An open engine style could let the car be a smaller scale than the engine and look even better!
+It lets the engine be visible.
-Less parts/weight= More Acceleration+ Speed+ Range+ Time and Money saved.
-With compressed air i imagine drag racing is where its at for range, and rat rods are known for straight line speed, its just a super fitting style altogether.
Cons:
-Perhaps you already started another design...............
Thank you! yes i have built a Hot rod already, have a look on my channel, it uses the first version of this engine. But i have plans to make another one
Well done! I'd love to see a 4x4 car with this engine, or better yet a semi with a flatbed to store a tank on and remove the leash!
Love the sound and appearance! Could you make some kind of car around it?
Or maybe a lego factory, since the engine is so big?
Sound better than many civic.
Just imagine the motor on a big plane😍😍🤤🤤🤤
Would be Awesome for sure
Great engine, although I wonder: How did you use the rpm of the engine and the force of the beam at 3:04 to get 8 watts? Is there a formula or something?
Using a 180 degrees stall like two 4 classic inline cylinders at 90 degrees should improve the engine’s stability and RPM. Also this should allow you to use one crank pin per couple of opposed piston and have a perfect torque curve
Ok I absolutely love this engine! All of your builds are awesome but this one really takes the cake!
I built this engine several months ago when your video first came out, but have only recently started working on a massive “Big Dooley” truck body to put it in. I wanted to ask if you have any ideas on how to make it more mobile than a long air hose being drug through the yard behind it :)
Also having trouble designing a good heavy duty transmission if you have any thoughts on that.
Thanks and would love to see more from you soon.
Hi, That's awesome that you built the motor. I will be making videos on this topic in the future, i have 3 months of free time to make videos now.
still add a version with 1 cylinder, along with a pump, otherwise budget buyers will be like me, buy an engine
Great idea, yes i am planning on adding one. Just need to redesign it to use the new style switch.
cant wait for the first lego powered car or larger toy car
I love the motor. Also whats the song you used?
I rate it a 10out of a 10
I'd love to see lego ZIL 130, 131 with this engine on
100% yes
I wanna see this as a v12 👀
sounds like the mechanical sounds of a v8 diesel, and the rpm stated in the title does fit that.
По звуку один в один запорожец))
Kinda like a LS V8... cooool
Wow that could be fitted to a RC plane Lego is an amazing I'm not going to say toy but producked for almost eney tipe of engeninging love the stuff and grate v 8 can't wait for your next vid
That would be cool!
Really great creation. We are all waiting for you to link this engine to a proper air tank and regulator to see what it can do long range!
That's on my list of things to do, i will try attach it to a paintball air tank with a reg
I rate this engien sound an 11/10
Awsome Work keep it Up!
And i think i am the only one, but how about a Workshop tour?
I am currently moving Workshops... So that could be something i could do.
The sound reminds me of a Mercedes diesel. Very nice
I've made your previous version of this V8. I have to say that it's amazing although it's a little bit 'hard' to start :P
Awesome!
Nice one with smalls pistons
Thank you! Small Cylinders allow for High Rev's which is why i use them.
2:20 you know he had to super glue that to the table or that engine will be flying XD
Nice pushrod double acting air engine
Thanks 👍
20000 of 10
How do you make the propeller rotate so quickly, what object do you use?
I gotta say the engine sounds better than most if not all the v8s v10s and v12s in forza.
Great project, would be interested to know how long it can run for before it wears out. I guess the valves would be the first component to wear out. Would be interesting to see rpm and power at different hour intervals. Maybe 1hr, 10hr, 20hr etc
Very Interesting, Personally i have never had any problems with my pneumatic's wearing out. I keep them well lubricated with silicone oil, , these cylinders and switches you see in this engine have been used in many of my engines over the last few years with no issues.
ooooh can you put gears on it?
it would be seriously cool if you did that then made an rc car around it!
love the vid btw!
