Buy these cars high mileage, like 200k high, specialy if it's a one owner car. They are extremley reliable and Lexus first owners tend to be unspirited drivers who also take great care of them. You can get one for 6-10 grands if you know where to look. Forget about MB and the other luxury brands, Lexus earned its high resale value.
+MrAdoh2010 My Father is buying a 2014 GS350 premium in a few weeks, with about 35,000 miles. He wants to keep it until it dies, and he wants to put at least 250,000 miles or more on the car. Lexus is the best brand for reliability long-term,
Just traded for a 2006 GS300 two weeks ago after driving SUV's for years. I'm 61 years old and have had many cars both US and foreign made and this is one of the smoothest and sweetest so far. I highly recommend it for your cruiser or just a change of pace. My only complaint was the unreal amount of gadgets and goodies in the car for me to get acquainted with. Guess that's why they have a 600 page owners manual!
Bought mine in July, 2011. My first Lexus but NOT my last! This car is a rocket! Great gas mileage, super quiet ride and unbelievable handling! Drive for hours with no fatigue. Downside? Uses premium gas which isn't so hot in 2012 and if you drive the dickens out of it, the tires are VERY expensive! Otherwise, helluva car!
Just bought an 06 White GS300 AWD, Grey interior, fully loaded, and 89k miles for $11,000. I had to replace the tires, the rear view mirror cause it was cracked, and the two tow hook covers but I didn't have to pay for any of it cause the dealer paid for it. I love this car so much and I could tell it was advanced for its time. I came from a 97 LS400 that unfortunately was rear ended and declared totaled and the insurance was nice enough to give me $4200 for it. Both great cars and gotta love Lexus reliability.
Never did anything to the LS maintenance wise besides tire rotation and oil change etc. Fuel, I was averaging around 17-20 mpg with mostly highway driving but also still some city driving. Pretty good considering a V8 with a 4 speed transmission.
2nd and 3rd gen GS are so frickin beautiful, I can’t choose which one I like more. Also 1st gen IS, LS430, and 2007-2012 ES350 are the best looking Lexus ever.
What a FANTASTIC tour video!! Much better than anything else I have been able to find on this car. Thanks very much it has given me an excellent idea of what this car is like. I feel like I actually went and saw one!
The GS is a fine car by most anybody's standards, I suspect; but I think one of the most beautiful and elegant sedans of all time is the Lexus LS 600...sheet-metal, along with the perfectly-complimenting alloys, iis so beautiful it's hard to take your eyes off of it!
Bingo for that car...O wait that car is in my garage! All jokes aside, I can't speak for all care ever made by Lexus but I own the GS 300 06 model and the IS 350 09 model I have not had any major issues. Well, the pistons did need replacing, but Lexus paid for them so, no no major issues. Good money well spent. Customer service is works class too.
I have a 2006 Lexus GS300 AND I LOVE IT. I TAKE GOOD CARE OF IT. I KEEP IT CLEAN , I USE GOOD WAX ON IT AND I CLAYBARE IT WHEN NEEDED. ITS BLACK IN AND OUT. IM LOOKING AT THE LEXUS THERE SHOWING RIGHT NOW. IM LOOKING AT THE ONE THERE SHOEING RIGHT NO. THERE ARE SOME THINGS THERE NOT SHOWING LIKE, THE AUTO TRUNK, THE HEAD LIGHTS THAT TURN AS YOU TURN THE WHEEL, HOW YOU CAN UK LOCKED ALL THE DOORS BY GRABING THE BACK DOOR HANDLE, AND THE REAR 3RD LIGHT THAT HAS A EYE IN IT, NOW WHAT THAT DOES IM NOT SURE. BUT FROM READING THE BOOK 'I THINK IT DIMS THE OUT SIDE mirrors. THE CAR HAS ALOT IF NICE THINGS IN IT. I HAVE THE ALL WHEEL DRIVE AND LET ME TELL YOU ITS NICE. IM A detailer MORE ON THAT LATER.
I am looking at a 2006 gs300 with 26,000 miles on it, have read a lot of reviews most were good but the negative ones were really bad, never owned a luxes before, have you had any major issues ?
Is it worth buying one with high mileage? Any major issues with this car? My budget is 5k but I can’t find any solid deals. Some people price them way too high like 8k for one that has 170k miles
I just bought one for around 3k, 2006 with 93k miles. Be aware that you are going to have to rebuild the entire suspension if the previous owner hasn't done so already. All the bushings were rotted out and all four shocks were shot on mine. It also needs a new ABS module and mine also suffers from carbon buildup and a bad camshaft position sensor on bank 2.
I'm interested in a similar version of this car. I haven't had time to look at it in person yet. Is the iPod Cable aftermarket? I'd imagine it would have to be.
Which car do you guys think is better, the 2006 GS 300 or the 2007 ES 350? I can't decide which one, the ES 350 has a bigger engine but the GS 300 has better handling and more sportiness.
I would really love one of these generation GS’s but I don’t really see a whole lot of these in good condition. Some of them in my area have some scratches, dents and title issues.
Also, with the push button start is there a way to have the accessories on but the engine off? It seems like you press the button the engine starts, and push it again and everything goes off. What if you wanted to listen to the radio with the engine off, for example?
Are these reliable? I’m looking at one with above 100,000 miles but am unsure how long it will last with that many miles. Anyone who has one with a lot of miles or has ever owned one please help.
Probably getting one of these soon. 88k so this thing will last me forever. I just wish it still had the 2jz so i could turbocharge it because kits for this model are basically non-existent. You have to fabricate your own manifold.
nice one! i don't like the steering wheel like that, but all acr is good. TNX for uploading. I would like to Know what SuperSportSS say, can anyone answer??
Its a nice car but i think theres too much grey plastic that doesnt blend in at all with the wood or the leather and just makes it look like a toyota with leather and some wood on the dash. But thats just me. Great video kyle as always
Looking now to purchase a 06-07 g300 awd soon hopefully, miles between 130-150k , good or bad idea? ik lexus are reliable and last but how about w the mileage?
dude i have a 98 gs400, and everyone thinks it's like a 2005 or so. lexus really does make exceptional cars for the price. people ask me all the time if my car is for sale lol
Beautiful. 2006 was a weird time. You have keyless ignition AND a tape player.
Walther Hoffman the tape player is for mixtapes.
Walther Hoffman these actually came out in 05
Walther Hoffman AND iPod integration
Hello handsome
Yep. 2006 seems too modern for 90s inputs
This car could hang out with anything on a road driving around in 2019...and it would blend right in!
Absolutely, I own a 2010 model very nice on the road.
Yeah that's why I am buying one , wish I can get someone to custom update the rear lights to modern
In fact I don't like the cars on the road these days , they all look cut and paste
Even in 2024

+MrAdoh2010 Agreed still driving my 95 GS
Just bought an 06 gs300 197k miles running beautiful and strongs idles perfect. Got it for a steal 3k!

MrAdoh2010 What if I wanna buy one that has low mileage?
Matrixmaster 22 the car is really hard to find under 70k miles.
one thing lexus does well is make designs that last, this car could easily pass for 2012-2013
Honald Trinton 2006-2012 GS was one single generation, unchanged. That’s why it still seems new.
DIAMLER no, it’s just that design and technology became better in the mid 2000s
Lots of new tech for the time and the styling has aged so very well. In 2023 it’s still a really good looking car

Never did anything to the LS maintenance wise besides tire rotation and oil change etc. Fuel, I was averaging around 17-20 mpg with mostly highway driving but also still some city driving. Pretty good considering a V8 with a 4 speed transmission.
ja2022 should've got a 350 or 460 the 06 300s have issues with carbon buildup in the engine due to a design flaw
in many places the 350 and 460 are not available
How has the car been any issues in the past year?
I'm saving up right now for an 06 GS 300... hope i can find one as nice as this one. What a beautiful automobile.
this car is A1.. im sold on it
Just bought one,the same color. I just love this car..!!
no lie, ur amazing... every car im lookin to get u have a video on it
Those silver gauges are awesome! I've always liked the GS models! Great videos as always!
My dad has had the car since I was a child and I’m soon going to turn 16 and the car is finally gonna be mine can’t wait

98-00 LS400> ES anything lmfao
The touch screen is more responsive than most vehicles in 2018 lol. I plan on getting this year and model as my 1st purchased and can’t wait
Lol that I was thinking too 😂 responsive touch screen
Beautiful car,inside & out.
this thing is designed and engineered better than my 2018 Toyota C-HR
What's the main differences?
Wow.. this is even more of a nice car than I imagined.
Looks way ahead of it's time, planning on purchasing this one
Still looking to purchase this car? I’m selling one in pearl white exterior and black leather interior with dark tinted windows
Can’t believe this was a decade ago
This was back when they were actually made in Japan. And it shows.
Most Lexus' are still made in Japan including my 2016 GS350 F-Sport.
What a FANTASTIC tour video!! Much better than anything else I have been able to find on this car. Thanks very much it has given me an excellent idea of what this car is like. I feel like I actually went and saw one!

I have the gs 430 and i love it solid car
i used to own this car, so good, its more like a 2010s car than a 2005 one.
sold last year for $10k (~120000km)
How reliable was it for you? Currently looking at one for $6300 with 120k miles, clean title

Why don't you get the GS350,I think it'd be a better choice. Not saying that this is a bad choice.
is the gs300 less reliable than the 350? or pretty similar.
Anyone still driving this? Local dealership has one for 8k wondering if I should get it
Definitely
This looks like a sweet car and there are lots of them for 18k around.
6
Now they're around 6k
Felix Ash I just bought one for 8500. But before you think I got ripped off, it’s one owner, 73k miles, every option, mind condition AWD
Fantastic video on a great car. My dad drives one, excellent car.
I found one 2006 GS 300 with 127 K miles well kept asking price is 5K is it worth it?
Definitely.
Timeless car. Beautiful
