Hello Chris, the road leading in sure looks nice. It's amazing how a good truck driver can spread gravel and make it so easy for you. Chris, thank you for taking us along for the ride with you it makes my day when I have a nice video from you, so thank you, and God bless you. You do such nice work. Have a nice Thanksgiving, and rest up a little
"Gravel" is aluvial, water sorted material with everything between fine silt all the way up to large stones, selected an separated by the flow of water. The term you are looking for is crushed stone, man made, mechanically separated material that has just the desired unit size. Gravel = natural separation Crushed stone = you order the size you want.
That is going to be one nice fire when you get it going. It really is amazing how the dirt differs in such a short distance. You have both rich and poorer soils on your farm, a couple miles away not good soils at the Bealy place, the 90 acre project had some very good soil, and this place having poorer soil in front and good in back. And you being able to sculpt beautiful land in all of it. It's easier to build a nice home and pasture when you've given them such good bones. Thanks for sharing, Chris. Happy Thanksgiving to you all.
Happy Thanksgiving to Chris and my fellow subscribers. That stumper is the vampire of trees raking off the dirt they live in making it easier for Chris to burn the stumps. Another enjoyable episode of Chris clearing some property.
Great job 👍🏻 2:27 love how the dirt clod rolled away love how the words said covered instead of cover love how you said got to give him grief love the sound the pipe made when you dropped it in place 8:05 love how you said it won’t fit the first time 😂 love how you said where is my next candidate 11:01 love how the words say foot two Times 11:59 love the dust the air brakes made love how you said rolling coal
I stirred up the bell goes uphill with Mike! I told him to watch your video with all the 36” pipes you dug up and turned around. That’s the only reason I knew. Yes, he does it correct now! There is a new one you can nail him on. I asked him, aren’t you supposed to grease an excavator every day or 8 hours of operation? He finally greased his, and some of the grease fittings were clogged. They were dry as an old bone. 😈
Got it coming along nice Chris !! starting to shape on up now !! All the rock laid in nice, Got it looking good as always !! lol... Have a Great Evening, Great as Always, And On too the Next !!
Always hated this time of year when you leave home in the dark and get home in the dark. Just did not seem right to not have some free time in the daylight. But it is what it is I guess.
Remember when that Blue Dump truck was brand new ,he is obviously making it earn it's way . Chris if you watched DPs live, youll know what he has told us about up in coming events should be interesting,no pressure aye ?
A great Daywork on the Horse Farm. The Driver from the Gravel Truck to put in. The Tree Trunk load on the Transporter. Then the next Trees to pull out, and the Areal clear. A Video to Produce. Thanks Your Work is always very Interesting.
Most of our building grade lumber comes from Canada and the Pacific Northwest. Fir trees make building grade lumber. Regular pines are great for low grade or wood products. The trees need to be big enough and of the right species to be financially feasible to saw into lumber, along with a good amount of them. Hauling is a major cost too with diesel being as much as it is.
Takes skill to spread that stone evenly over a distance - saves time for the one who usually spreads it from piles. D6 does a great job - suppose the operator makes it look so. It's such a pity that the logs cannot be used in construction of some kind - cost is prohibitive. Think Mike has learnt and you will make sure he doesn't forget - fun times.
Place is taking shape, should be a nice size pasture for the landowners horses.looks like everything is going well for you on this job.hope you and all your family have a quiet thanksgiving.dozer is just doing it’s thing, enjoy watching you operating it and putting it through it’s paces.great video as always.just continue on doing your thing.be safe 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Rolling trees & brush with the D6…how about a big ole thumb to stop those stragglers!?! Sure got a lot done today! If ya don’t post tomorrow, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. 👏👏👏🦃🦃👏👏👏
31:31 Dang video buffering is really taking all the 'zen' out of watching you root raking, but I do love the sound of that ol' D6 at work, rhythmically alternating between leaning into the push and relaxing to back up for another go at it.
Sad that you lost video, hope you still have the before drone shots. Old big pine trees in N. Florida have Long tap roots - I have seen a few 6 foot long. Great truck spreading. Last time you said you have something to do you ended up at Equip EXpo or Volvo training grounds.
Hey Chris love watching your videos haven't missed one yet. I was wondering if there was any chance of you doing an update on previous pond dams you've done so we can see how full they have gotten now especially the one with the super high dam that's behind the barn. If you could that would be awesome . Keep up the awesome content love it .
It's a shame all those logs are basically worthless. It looks like there's an opening for a biomass energy plant in the area, though. Low prices for wood means cheap feedstock for energy production.
Firstly I will wish you and all others reading this a happy thanksgiving. Did you change the microphones, to me the Volvo sounded different than normal.,
He hasn’t changed much at all he’s still operating and breaking in gentle excavators when there’s plenty of ruff excavators that need breaking in and some one else I know follows him in sticking with breaking in the gentle excavators when there’s plenty of ruff excavators in this fuckedupped world that need to be broken in

You know when someone rolls up with a load of gravel in a $300k truck they know how to tailgate stone 😎
you would think thats how it works lol. Not always
Amazing how much time a good truck driver can save you when they know how to dump stone properly.
Heyyyyy! Happy Thanksgiving Mr. Chris and all lovers of Awesomeness!!
Good morning everyone I hope you all enjoy your day we have rain here today again in Tasmania ❤❤❤❤❤❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Great job buddy. Love the old D-6. She is a beast. Thanks for the ride.
"Bell uphill, Mike." haha!!
Chris, have you ever considered making mud mats from the lumber you take down for yourself?
Thanks like the video on your work
🤣🤣Mikey definitely has the bell direction right now.

If the missing go pro footage still exists, go ahead and upload it out of sequence. We'll pretend you are Mike and this is the history channel. 😂

That guy in the dump truck sure knows how to spread Rock he does a good job on that
Another great day on the job 🙌 👌
Finally a driver that starts rolling good before he trips his tailgate
Happy Thanksgiving to Chris and my fellow subscribers.

Nice video Chris.
Chris is a real artist! He is drawing flies!😂😂😂😂
The 220 is making good progress
Another great video on this project bro, that D6 still has a place in todays working environment and does it well too. Safe travels to y'all. Ken.
For the people who say Chris wastes wood ,he has just explained why for this job ,and has also explained why on other jobs .
Good job mate looking forward to seeing more of your videos

Good work Chris , you have a lot of real good plant but the d6 and the d7 are right up there
Great video of the work in progress 😉
We know how Chris LOVES a drive who knows how to spread rock🤗

Dam that truck driver layed that road perfectly we ain't got drivers like that anymore in the UK
Big D6 pushes were awesome! Happy Thanksgiving Chris & relatable LD18 followers!

Always hated this time of year when you leave home in the dark and get home in the dark. Just did not seem right to not have some free time in the daylight. But it is what it is I guess.
When you took the trees down and hollered timber, my thought was another one bites the dust.
Remember when that Blue Dump truck was brand new ,he is obviously making it earn it's way .

Gotta run em everyday to pay for em lol.

I'm surprised there isn't more need for wood in your area with the recent hurricane you would think there would be a need for rebuilding

@@mikeznel6048 Thanks for the info!! I didn't know that. Learn something new everyday!
Always enjoy watching you load logs!! Bet you could eat salad with that thumb!!
You got a lot done today Chris once you grade the area should look nice.
nice work. cheers.

Every time I see a culvert put in, it looks like it should be 5’ or 10’ longer so the road shoulders could be a bit wider.
At that rate you could end up with a 50’ culvert, but I know what you’re saying
And install those culvert end sections, but I’m sure it’s a 🏦 thing. As it always come down to it.

Can't believe how much you get done on your own mate.
31:31 Dang video buffering is really taking all the 'zen' out of watching you root raking, but I do love the sound of that ol' D6 at work, rhythmically alternating between leaning into the push and relaxing to back up for another go at it.
I’m just here to learn how to make land. I need to expand mine lol.
No better teacher than Chris.
good video

Morning Criss
I bet this 220 has taken down more trees than all Chris's other machines put together.
🦃 happy 🦃🙏
That D6 is a “poooshing” machine.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I know, it's holiday time.
It’s gotta suck having to clarify that you didn’t do something shady, like haul a loose pipe miles down the hwy.
You can’t fix stupid.
I think that wasn’t even Chris’s flatbed trailer
thats going to be a heckkofa burn pile that ole kitty cat dont back off of much
WOT ,no "TIMBEEERRRRR" 😅
You drastically need a second man. The banter between co workers can be the best part of any video
I bet when it comes time to burn you are going to mad about all those crisscross logs and the dirt. :) Thank you and have a wonderful week.
Do you ever find rich lighter pine stumps great for starting fires in pits or open fire
🙂
It's a shame all those logs are basically worthless.
It looks like there's an opening for a biomass energy plant in the area, though. Low prices for wood means cheap feedstock for energy production.
Everything looks good on paper. When it comes down to it, it’s all about how much money and who’s paying.
Shot at DP..lol!
LetsDig18!
Wild turkey or farmed raised one's ?
What’s the price of a 12” pine? Like $20?
Firstly I will wish you and all others reading this a happy thanksgiving. Did you change the microphones, to me the Volvo sounded different than normal.,
A root rake that might be shaped to tumble the roots and shake dirt off as you go..... been built yet?
Wow, I am impressed.
Chris do you get paid for those logs?
First comment 👍🏻
Great 🙂
THANKS!
Wondering why not the D7 on this job?
It seems like you have so much work going on at the same time, do you have anyone helping you at other places so you can work at another job?
That is definitely crushed stone, not gravel.
Keeping dirt moving is priority #1
Why not use some of the logs for mats instead of burning them?
