Santiago Nasar Unfortunately this happens to a lot of musicians. Being on the road is not easy on the mind or the body. Drinking and smoking constantly doesn’t help. I am shocked by how much my favorite musicians have drastically aged over the years.

I’m surprised Alex didn’t dedicate the album to his parents. Also it’s really sweet and thoughtful that he wrote it based around his parents and the stuff he heard growing up as a kid. Makes me wonder if he’s been missing home

what a lovely interview Annie is hands down just perfect Alex is so down to earth and himself with no extra persona stuff and the Irish accent with the Sheffield accent are just beautiful this is so aesthetically pleasing

I’ve gotta say I’m rather loving this Alex, it seems as though he’s matured a lot over the band’s hiatus. Definitely a decrease in arrogance, I think that comes across in the album as well..

Agree! Even though he came off as arrogant (the Brits speech), when you think about the AM aesthetic it kind of felt like he just played the role he needed to play for that time period. And it was awesome.
I couldn’t wait and heard the studio leak (I was stubborn couldn’t wait) and omg this really had me on a whole different mood. IMO it’s a really great/complete album a true masterpiece. I hope everyone enjoys it and understands the direction it went in 💕

I love this guy. The Arctic Monkeys have evolved SO MUCH during all these years, I wouldn't even recognize them if I only knew them from their early years. Tranquility Base was really surprising and such a huge departure, I'm excited to see where they take their music next.
P.S.: I really fancy how heavy his british accent is in this!

He’s talked so much about his family this time round. Visiting his grandfather and getting ideas for lyrics, his mum asking him on his birthday in 2017 what he planned to do next and a few other instances.
He’s generally more talkative nowadays than he’s ever been and also more willing to explain himself and his thoughts behind his songs. Books he’s reading, shows and movies he’s been watching. It’s a little weird but I’m loving it

The new record is great!!..I've had it for the last few days and at first listen I wasn't sure because it sounded a lot like Alex's solo projects,which is fine but I expected to hear more of Matt's input,his drumming is always a great counterpoint to what's going on with the melodys and guitar. the tracks are growers though and I really like it..american sports,tranquillity base and 4 out of five are amazing tracks that seem to jump into you sub conscious after the fact..my favourite track has got to be tranquillity base!!
