I haven't yet had the chance to fly on an ITA plane, but I really dig the blue livery: looks very slick indeed, just as you'd expect from an Italian company :)
I was on an a320 today. It looked nice outside, inside is the same as alitalia and the one i was on was falling apart. One of the luggage stowage doors fell off and the armrest was breaking.
I love the new blue Ita livery. The hottest looking A350s in the sky, for mine. Also love the old ,iconic Alitalia A livery which has only had minor adjustments over 50 odd years. Big Douglas fleet back in the day with handful of jumbo & A300s. Many blue skies ahead for you, Ita.
Love the livery. I hope the cabin service and layout become as good as the paint job. I only flew Alitalia once from Heathrow to Rome on almost empty A321's in 2003. The cable was ok, but the crew seemed unhappy and indifferent. I hope ITA becomes an improvement over Alitalia.
I flew roundtrip from Milan to Paris with an ITA’s a320 with blue livery. Unfortunately the cabin remained with the old Alitalia liveries because it wasn’t revamped yet. Ok outside the airplane was fresh painted, but inside the cabin looks back from 2000 and its looks very old and a little dirty. I didn’t have adequate space for legroom beacuse my knee touch he front seat. With low fare companies I never had any legroom problem. Anyway the landing was very smooth. Crew was ok, with old Alitalia uniforms. For time reasons the company I work for chose to fly with ITA instead of easyjet. honestly I would have preferred to fly with Easyjet. In addition it had 1 hour delay, but considering the european fly slots situation it was reasonable. For European and national flights I honestly don't see a prosperous future for ITA… the prices are high, the cabin was 1/2 full. Time a few years and it will be saved again from bankruptcy by the Italian state.
When ITA started, I was very nostalgic about the Alitalia livery. But I have to admit that the new livery looks great and suits perfectly the A350 especially. As for the cabin service, I flew MUC-BRI through FCO in December 21 and it was excellent. On a side note, blue (azzurro) is the official color of any Italian national sports team (e.g. volleyball, basketball), not just football.
honestly, to me ita airways is a great company, i'm sorry that it has already had these accidents, but it's not just the company's fault, i hope that in the future it will take a big step, a bigger one than alitalia
They can paint their planes in any colour as long as the quality of service improves dramatically. That was Alitalia’s biggest problem; customer service. I wish them well and success on this re-launch
It think the livery looks great, it makes me think of the Italian soccer teams jerseys. The new a350 cabins look great. Their renewing their fleet with a330-900neos, a320neos, and a220
There's a bit disappointment that ITA Airways doesn't feature with premium economy for long haul aircraft. Btw, ITA Airways A350 look amazing and spectacular.
A lot of people seem to have a grudge on the blue livery because of how bold and outdated it is but honestly I think this 10x better than Alitalia’s revised livery. The revised livery is giving me Virgin Atlantic and SAS vibes and makes the 2005 livery shine out way more in my opinion.
I'm Italian and I think that ITA can be more successful than its predecessor, the colour scheme is dedicated to the colours of the Italian Football National Team and the aircrafts are dedicated to some football players and coaches such as Baggio and Lippi (but I Prefer the old Tri-Color Scheme) On 6:15 I have to signal another incident: On May12 An A320 EI-DTG performing flight 1765 from Linate to Palermo experimented a Birdstrike and Fire on Engine 2 at 5000ft and return at Linate after 23min.

My only 'complaints'...there is wifi on the 330, the purser brings the voucher to your seat, but not on the 350
I was forced to ITA by Delta due to a code share arrangement that was completed after I had purchased. The Delta flight to Rome was on a brand new Airbus and was truly an amazing flight experience in business first. However for the flight back we were shifted to ITA which flew us back to JFK on an ancient AlITAlia Airbus, luggage compartments too small, old technology, was very substandard to the Delta flight. ITA allegedly has newer planes. We got the old used experience. Not happy, especially for what we paid.

Just made the NY to Rome trip and was surprised at the condition of our airbus A330-200. The fabric economy seats were worn down and soiled gray and brown. All were like that. We put our in-flight blankets down under us. Bathrooms were overflowing with trash less than halfway through our flight and I couldn't help but notice the duct tape holding much the plastic fascia together. Overall, the flight itself was pleasant enough but the aging plane we were on needs a serious freshening up.
ITA faces the same problem as all other national flag carriers: they are expected to not only provide travel, but also be cultural ambassadors for their home country. And no country wants their national airline to be economy-only, or worse, an LCC, even though that's what market demand trends towards. So as a matter of national pride and politics, they have to go full-service. There are simply too many players in the luxury air travel space, which makes it a money pit, but no government besides the Middle Eastern oil states wants to spend millions of dollars a year subsidizing luxury travel. So long as either governments or airlines refuse to understand the playing field is not level, and that they are only shooting their own feet, national airlines will continue to founder and collapse. ITA's new operating model is just a bandage on a bullet hole.
Hey guys, would be pretty interesting if you could make a video about Arajet Airlines, the new ultra low cost in the Caribbean which only operates 737 max 8 and will operate 737 max 200
I hope that Lufthansa will manage ITA soon... Rome will become with Frankfurt, Munich, Geneva and Vienna a new hub in the south of Europe, which will offer huge opportunities for ITA and the business in Italy.
ITA Airways is 51% owned by the Italian Government while 49% is held by Lufthansa Group, I think Lufthansa will handle the airline's management while it remains an Italian entity.
ITA will either be bought out by one of the major European airline groups or it will fail. It won’t be competitive on short haul markets because it won’t be as cheap as the LCCs and it won’t be competitive with the larger international carriers as it won’t have as good connecting options. Maybe SkyTeam will keep ITA afloat, but it didn’t save Alitalia. There really isn’t room in the European market for more independent, full service carriers.
ITA Airways has inaugurated their service to Delhi from November 2022 with Airbus A330-200. Hopefully the ordered Airbus A330neo will eventually replaces all of Airbus A330-200.
The big three US carriers, by the way, are American, Delta, and United. However, there is actually more of a big five, featuring those three airlines as well as Southwest and JetBlue!
Having a new fleet would certainly make the airline more competitive, but, starting out, they would have been better off refurbishing cabins of the 50+ fleet before investing so heavily on new aircraft so soon. I wish them all the best and hope to try them sometime.

@@bluemilk4909 no no, the previous not current one. It wasn't white. I still think various 'ethnic' multicolour liveries look awful. And not all eurowhites are bad: look at Swiss. It looks stunning
This incident of sleeping pilots has been considered too much. It always happens, read surveys about this. It shouldn't but some days ago, an Ethiopian Airlines jet missed its destination because pilots were asleep. That's way more dangerous. Stop pretending to give the message "the airline isn't safe because pilots were asleep". Second, the situation at JFK was a complete ATC mistake. Pilots did not have any issue with the plane so it's normal they simply denied the incident once inflight.
I certainly wish ITA Airways blue skies and smooth sailing but as long as the "infamous" Italian unions have their say in the operation it's questionable if this airline can ever become successful. The unions "killed" Alitalia and I won't be surprised if they do the same to ITA. 🤔. On a happier note, the new metallic blue livery is fantastic. The only other airline that has a paint scheme that impresses me equally is Royal Jordanian's beautiful "green fuselage". Take care and enjoy your weekend.
I flew ITA Airways from FCO to BOS in May. Absolutely the WORST experience I have ever had on an international flight. The Crew was downright RUDE and mean to the passengers. I witnessed a few different encounters and I was shocked. The flight was only 1/3 full and it was an opportunity to shine. But instead the crew hid in the 1st class cabin. The food was cold and I was told that the ovens were not working that well. When I asked if it could be heated up some more. It came back burnt. The wifi was worthless. I wrote a long letter to ITA Airways about my issues and never heard back. I did get a response from Delta (who the ticket was purchased through). I will be paying closer attention the next time I fly to Italy.
We're flying ITA in November (also booked thru Delta), Non stop from Boston to Rome and back. Fingers crossed that we don't have the same unfortunate experience you had. Any suggestions or recommendations that might help make the flight easier? Thanks in advance, and sorry your flight was so terrible.

No the blue is not it I need the white plane
I certainly wish ITA Airways blue skies and smooth sailing but as long as the "infamous" Italian unions have their say in the operation it's questionable if this airline can ever become successful. The unions "killed" Alitalia and I won't be surprised if they do the same to ITA. 🤔. On a happier note, the new metallic blue livery is fantastic. The only other airline that has a paint scheme that impresses me equally is Royal Jordanian's beautiful "green fuselage". Take care and enjoy your weekend.
Simply flying I mean

Thanks in advance, and sorry your flight was so terrible.
let's be honest, this can happen on any airline
I love the new colours - Alitalia colours were pure boring & no life in the airline
