    i’m an autistic teen learning asl because i sometimes go nonverbal, as does my boyfriend who already uses it. your videos have been incredibly helpful to me. i was wondering if maybe you could do a video on how to express needs or how your feeling, like “i’m stressed” or “i need to go to the nurse”. thank you so much for all that you do :)

    I am learning for my son. He is speech delayed and responding to signs..he actually is even saying words not just signing. And I'm surprised how simple it is. I always thought it was a bit more complex..but once signs are explained..it is really common sense and helps me..because I'm forgetful lol. ..(just had a baby and my mom brains on overdrive lol)..

      Pointing to your wrist asking for the time or time to go.
      ASL student in HS & College. I use it with my hearing niece and nephew as well as my fellow members of the disability community who use it to communicate. I have also found it to be helpful to maintain mobility in my hands as I have Cerebral Palsy.

    You are an extraordinary teacher. Without anyone to communicate with in sign language, I'm still wanting to learn, because it's such a beautiful and universal language and you're such a delightful teacher.

    👋Hi Meredith, I wanted to let you know that I came across your channel about 6 months ago and subscribed right away. I grew up with deaf parents and was their interpreter. I haven't used my ASL in 20 yrs and started wondering if I still remembered and if the signs I remembered were updated. Thru your channel, I have relearned my 2nd language. Thank you, I look forward to all your video's.🤟

    Me and my kids really enjoy your videos. We have been learning ASL and recently we made a friend who uses sign language because of his Mother she was so happy that we were able to communicate. You were a big part of why me and my kids were able to do that so thank you.
    Also, if you could make a video talking about hygiene/ bathroom sign that would be awesome.

    hey there
    i wanted to ask u if u can do some videos on how to interpret asl
    I sometimes need to interpret English for some deaf friends but I get lost and don't know which words to interpret
    I would really appreciate maybe a series on advanced asl and interpreting for new interpreters

    • @LearnHowtoSign
      @LearnHowtoSign  2 роки тому +1

      Interpreting is very complex. It takes years of practice but if you put forth the effort and time it is doable. I would suggest looking at a local community college that offers an interpreting program to take this step.
