Thank you for all these excellent videos that you prepared before going on vacation. I am recovering from a serious injury and these are lifting my spirits.
Oooo this would be super fun to do with some kids at a birthday party or to help kids make a bday or mothers/fathers day gift for their parents! Such a good idea, thanks for sharing 🌼
Wow this looks like a really kid friendly and fun project. Thanks for all the great videos that you’ve taped ahead of time. Unnecessary but very much appreciated.
Okay, now I think I want the Inktense sticks!! You're spoilin' me, Lindsay!! This is so cool. I can see my 13 yr old granddaughter and I getting into this BIG time.😊
I don't have inktence blocks (or anything really) yet.... but that just moved them up a bit on my wishlist for sure. I do have some fabric paint and markers though, so I wonder if glue resist will work just as well... something to try for sure!
Very fun idea. I can see teenage girls loving this one. I've used intense to create a painted quilt square, ironing it well once dry to set the colors and it came out fantastic.
What a great idea! I have a piece of fabric that I want to paint and wasn’t sure what to do. I’ll have to pick up some inktense blocks. Maybe they will be on sale on prime day.😊Hope you’re having fun in the sun ☀️
What a fun project. This would look good in some of my quilting projects, or mixed media. One question,. did you wash it or rinse the glue out? Hand wash with mild soap? As always thank you for always giving us inspiration, and joy with color! (Sat-Chats are so much fun too!!)
No, you leave it it. It will be stuff so its best for curtains or tapestries. It's a cheap sage alternative to hot wax. I think Daharma trading co makes a wash out material for this use but it will be more expensive.
I don't see why you couldn't use a glue that would peel off or wash off and use this technique to faux-batik cloth and then use it to make clothes. You will want to test any glue and fabric combinations before you start a project in earnest, including testing cleaning methods, just so you know what to expect. (I would find it easier to faux-batik yardage than finished clothing. Hmmm... I have some ideas brewing already!) By the way, Derwent Inktense blocks and pencils are permanent on cloth/clothing. Lindsay did an apron project a while back with Inktense blocks that turned out beautifully. (DIY Painted Apron - ua-cam.com/video/SvCVqUNUypw/v-deo.html) If you can't access the video, Derwent probably has details regarding washing such projects on its website. When her vacation is over, perhaps we can ask the Frugal Crafter to add/link care instructions to the comment section of this youtube video.
Hi, I have a totally unrelated question, I hope you can help? Can you give advice on the compatible shinhan refills for the pastel alp marker set that you reviewed some time back, specifically the numbers in the 300's? I'm having trouble working out if any are compatible. Any advice would be really appreciated.

Very clever project Lindsay!
What a fun and easy project! Thanks Lyndsay!
Definitely going to try this with my little nieces next time we have a rainy Saturday afternoon. 😍
This is an unexpected use for the inktenses! i love it!
I will be doing this project with my grandkids thank you so much!!
That is so cool Lindsay! What a fun project to make. Thanks
Fabulous! I've been waiting for a project like this for my InkTense blocks! THANK YOU SO MUCH, Lindsay !!!! 😀

I didn't realize you could do this with plain, white glue! AWESOME! :-)

Love this❣️❤️❣️❤️
Thank you!

That's great to know too. I also quilt, I've never thought of using intense.
How fun! Thanks Lindsay!
Clever!
Cool project Lindsay. Tfs
I love it 👍🏾
I loved this! Tfs
You are so welcome!
I saw that motive on sting his russians video as a curtain to hide that door. This stuf would work miracles on room dividers and boring doors tho

I love Sat Chats, too.

@@thefrugalcrafter could you replicate this with liquid frisket? then just pull off the frisket to leave soft cloth?
This is cool Lindsay! So you don’t remove the glue after, like how one would iron out the wax from the batik?? TFS!!😃🙏🏾🥰👍🏾
I’m surprised the glue didn’t move with how much water was used. I guess it depends on the glue?
Cute!
I would love to learn Batik. Make a sarong with my art. Have you any lessons on Batik?
No, sorry
Dont you remove the glue?

So....is the glue that you're using, Lindsay, not water soluble? That means it won't wash out so the fabric will be "crispy" even if you do wash it?
Yes. It stays in the fabric. It's best for a wall hanging or curtain.
do you later wash out the glue?
Not for this method

The 300s are skin tones and most match copic refills by the name on the chart, not the number.
@@thefrugalcrafter Thanks so much. I'd been looking at shinhan but it's nice to know I can at least get refills from copic :)
I will try Elmers school glue which will wash out...anyone else try it already?
Let me know how it goes!
