    Always good advice. Even for those of us who don’t need a for sale sign there are things we need to think about and work on. Being courteous is so simple and helps change cagers minds about some of the nuts we all see on motorcycles. Makes you feel good to. Best to Coach Vic and the family. God Bless.

    Another obvious one... if you have a tendency to drink and ride, a "for sale" sign is definitely needed, ... or, as Bill Engvall would say, "Here's your sign" 🤪😉

    I agree with you 100%. I am in the process of turning my Harley into a reverse trike I'm going with the tilting motor works on the front end. I will also have a two-wheel motorbike. I have noticed the most motorbike riders are better drivers when you're in their car. More aware because of riding a motorbike I just subscribed. I have been watching all your videos. I do have my own UA-cam channel but thank you

    This list is full of good reminders... I could ride here in PA without a helmet but I just don't.. in my previous occupation, I visited way too many people who had suffered a traumatic brain injury as a result of not wearing a helmet....

    Our first experience ever with lane splitting was in California near San Bernardino on the freeway. Traffic was basically at a standstill and several sports bikes can flying by us at high speeds. It was crazy.

    I love to drive and, now, I love to ride. And riding my Spyder has made me a better driver. I used to drive with time in mind; so long a distance at such a speed (always within the speed limits) will take this amount of time. When I first started riding a Spyder (while waiting for mine, I rented), I realized that my math wasn't, and couldn't, add up; the Spyder made me realize that the journey was the destination and that there was always a discovery to experience. I still drive within speed limits, but I no longer focus only on the time it takes; I always discover new things when I ride, even on familiar roads, and I now do the same when I drive. So much more enjoyable! And, no, I don't plan on selling my motorcycle. Cheers Coach!

    At the beginning of the year , I spend 45 mm in an empty parking lot and practice my emergency stops and turns , just to insure my reaction memory is aware of the machine reaction time. Practice some of the basis skill and insure the machine and your gear is in order. Thanks for the video Alain & Yellow

    Awesome video thanks coach.... makes me think like I'm driving my work truck, I drive a 18wheelers down the road, funny part of this, is the fact I have to think just as much as I would ride my spyder. The fact about it all, is the fact that between riding to driving, they both are very dangerous, I can either wipe others out, or be wiped out. There are many that think, I could die on a bike, being in a 70,000 lbs truck and trailer you can die just as easy. So for me when I ride, I ride like I drive my transport, by giving space, being curtousey of the other drivers or riders, not to rush, to watch out for those that wiz in and out of traffic, to take the roads others would think is out of the way, to me, I rather take longer and be safe then to rush to an early grave. So on that note, as you say, go out buy the bike of your dreams, eat right, enjoy life, and have fun, and if your not having fun, your doing it wrong. Thanks again for your awesome videos. ❤❤❤

    Thanks Coach Bob for the sound advice. I have always been curious what makes people still go out and ride considering all the risks associated with riding a motorcycle? Do they just jump on and think it won't happen to me, or do you have to adopt a mind set that says "so what", if it happens it happens? Do motorcyclists think only about themselves, or do they also think about the loved ones they leave behind should the worst happen. Coach Bob, I want to try and understand the psychology of riding a motorcycle as I am still thinking of buying a CAn Am but I am undecided?

  • @davidwells997
    @davidwells997 5 місяців тому

    Reason #2 comes closest to the reason I got off two wheels & went to three. Fully loaded, two-up touring got to be more than I could comfortably handle. We traded in the big Harley for a Can Am RTL. That being said, if most of my riding was solo and my wife was lo longer interested in riding with me, I’d have another smaller two-wheeler.

      I feel that all motorcycles are way more expensive than we want to admit. My Spyder hasn't cost me any more than my other motorcycles. We love that darn thing. It has given us a ton of freedom and smiles. Keep watching and take your time. Make a slow..well thought out decision. Whatever you decide will be right for you..let us know what you end up doing. God Bless you and thanks for watching and commenting.

    Coach Bob, it should be about May when I purchase the 2023 RT Sea to Sky. As much as I like the back lit controls, I do want to pay the price for a 2024. I am waiting for the prices to drop a little more. Your last video covered very good points about the used motorcycle market. I would add that this being an election year slows the economy down until the businesses know who to influence once the election is over.

      @@stevechristopher4123 I am looking at a new RT due to the color. I know there is very little difference from the 2020 to 2023. I was looking at the 2021 Sea to Sky after watching the Smyrna Cowboy. That color also appeals to me. I just like the green on the 2023 better. The price difference from new to used in negligible right now.
