I remember that stupid truck! A buddy of his joined in and buzzed a group of us on the long straight before Amerikus...great ride! I was keeping an eye out for ya, but I think you passed me when I was deep in the pain cave. I only did the 100, my first century, and was going party pace the whole day. Finished around the same time you did. Great work!!
You nailed that one! I saw you Union Street Social for dinner the night before, food took forever to be served, but did load up the carbs for the next day. Congrats!
Thank you Bruce, and congrats on a top-100 finish! A very strategic race. I was riding in the same group at the start can see myself a lot in the videos, and was also aiming for a sub-12 at half-distance, but a set of punctures and mechanicals set me back like 2hrs30min, so I finished well after darkness, with a time like 14:50. Keep up making the videos, they are very helpful, and hopefully see you at the next Unbound!
Awesome video and awesome work out there! I was out on the course another 5 hours, I am old and slow. Interesting to hear you having some of the same experiences and thoughts at some of the same points - you have given me some ideas for hopefully taking a few more hours of my time next year.
Massively enjoyed your videos building up to this race and this one. Not too basic, not too snobby, just a cool regular dude pushing himself and offering sound advice. Got me itching to tackle some local gravel challenges here in New Zealand. Thanks Bruce!
incredible!! i remember hanging with you at the finish last year after mud hell and DNF for us both. so glad to see you crush it (on the lauf!) that’s no easy feat!!!
You are absolutely amazing! Honestly, I think your sharing of this experience is very inspiring and shows why you are a successful entrepreneur in the cycling industry.
Congrats on finishing the 200 with high result and the video series. Very useful series for doing many gravel races/ events. The 200 is on my to list in the non binary group for next year if travel cost allow it from SoCal. Flat rolling central plains course compared to hill and mountain courses common out west.
It was fun (and educational) to follow your training journey. Thanks for taking us along for the ride--it was cool to have the opportunity to live vicariously through you! Hats off to you and your support crew!
great video, i have been following from the beginning. anyone that rides unbound is a success in my opinion. i will say i don't understand the 8" sock height (i just noticed it in your footage for some reason). keep the videos coming, thanks.
@@revelclef3957 I rode the Siegla wireless race last year in the Unbound 100 and this year in the Unbound 200. Absolutely no issues and would highly recommend it. Most likely the best value for the price.
Aerobars. Easily 1-2 mph faster for all the hours when you are riding solo. And gives your hands and back a break. Notice nearly everybody in the 350 had them.
Bro stop with the coke and red bull It's tucked up that stuff so crazy toxic and every video I see of bike racing everyone is I drank coke I got to get some coke . Coke is full Of insane ingredients poeple use that stuff to clean engines. Not trying to be negative . However it needs to stop

Huge kudos to you Bruce! After watching so much social media that day, I was left hanging wondering if you had made it. So happy you did!

Congrats on an awesome race Bruce. Also finished my first Unbound 200 on a LAUF (no where near 12 hours) this year.
What model and how did it ride ? Any issues ? I was thinking of getting one.

Not allowed maybe since noone had them.
