Thanks, Ben, for show-and-conversation with these competitors and so cool that riders from around the world are participating, whether based in the States or not. And I'm cheering already for Svenja from Germany on her German bike, her blue Rose. And enjoy your ride, Ben, at Unbound with all your rowdy friends! 😀
First video of yours that I have seen. You have a real knack for making the other person feel comfortable. Every person being interviewed looked like they were pumped about talking to you. 👍🏼👍🏼
Always fun to see what everyone is riding and what tire choice people are bringing to the race. Nice to see people from all over the world coming to race Gravel❤ keep up the great work that you do brother 👍
So great to hear (and now see) Ben D. again! I stumbled across this video, thanks to the UA-cam algorithm, but happy I did. Talk about a trusted source of information. Looking forward to what shows up as part of the subscription -- and it looks like my hat is in the mail. Go Ben!
You're awesome Ben. In the process of buying a gravel bike and have been watching so many of your videos. Awesome, awesome Channel! I have been wondering how to support The Channel (aside from watching a ton of videos) and I will def check out the Cap, who couldn't use an extra 6-10%? LOL Thank you for doing what you do.
Interesting people are going RC when bicycle rolling resistance had the RC 1-2 watts slower than the M, which has more grip. They didn't get the point the RC when one can just get the M that's better all-round and H is just straight faster.
He great is it that someone chooses Kansas for their first trip to America? I think decades from know this is seen as the Boston marathon of cycling events.
"I'm not worried about the bike, I'm worried about me." That is a wise man right there. Truer words have never been spoken in cycling.
Guy from my city apparently had a Allied Echo frame break at the dropout of the XL…so…
Love the look of the BMC
Would love to hear how Larry's road shoes worked out.

One of the best prerace videos I've seen. Nice work!
Great running into. Thanks for adding me to your video. Always great content
Great to meet you. Sorry I screwed up and didn’t film your bike. Hope you had a good ride in the peanut butter mud today! 🤪
@The Ride with Ben Delaney all good. Today was fun.

Michigan riders represent! Go Wakeley!
Love the ending
Did the 100. First time had an awesome time. Great place. Love the channel and yes definitely the Gravel and train horn capital of the world. 😂
I forgot to mention tire choice. Went with Pirelli Cinturato H 40mm. Was happy with them. Rolled fast no flats.
Shout out to the Aussies in the event. A few showing up on this clip
Cheers, nice interviews.
You should find these riders for a follow up interview. I loving hearing about type 2 adventures
Great vid Ben, love the interviews with all the great lovely people!! Best of luck to all you brave souls riding!! 😊
Love your channel. Will support!
Another fine video. You convinced me to order a hat to help support the channel since I enjoy the content. I’m lucky order #13.

You do such good work. Good luck and thank you 🚴♀️✨✨
Am building up an Argon 18 Dark Matter with SRAM Force AXS. Looking forward to some good racing on it!
Do you know the weight of the frameset? And in what size? Can't really seem to find info of the dark matter weight online.
Wow ! Please make a coverage of singlespeed machines !! ❤
Great video also good to hear you on the Bike radar podcast !
Crikey! Those numbers bibs have really become billboards!
Have a good ride
that was great!
Thanks
Thank you!

Good fun and insights. Hoping for dry roads....
Great video
Im riding the X-wing handlebars 7:04 on both my gravel and my road bike. Best handlebars out there imo.
Awesome job!!
Very cool..riding the cinelli zydeco..
I did maintenance on roughly 10 bikes at the aid station in Madison. The mud would just turn to concrete.
Love Lucky Larry!
Cool vid man! GCN Connor Dumne for the win.
That custom South City Stitchworks bag at 0:26. Phew! 🥵
@southcitystitchworks
Lot's of Michigan riders!!
These are great Ben! How about showing us custom bikes!?!
Never been a cycling cap fan. Stock a low bucket trucker hat and a nice quality shirt and I’ll support the channel.
So enjoy this segment!
I hope you having a great ride! Looking forward to your breakdown. Let’s have a flat free Unbound. Go go go…..
looks like a blast. too bad I'm to lazy to attempt to ride it
@theridewithbendelaney you see anyone on a Salsa Warbird? Feel like I never see that bike in these race vids but I love mine.
Truest part was the comment about the trains horns😂

Curious what the post-race tire review would be!
How can I get the whole kit? It’s super nice with the blue.
Recorded horizontally:)
Stephen!!!
Those are the tires I run on my checkpoint. Fast, tough tire.
wow
How do you do road shoes on a gravel ride?
Just put out a video on the new aero super tuck
Did you see any rim brakes at all? And do you remember what the narrowest tire widths were?
A handful of cantis on ’cross bikes. Narrowest? Shoot, there were 4,000 people so I can't say conclusively, but 35 would be my guess.
@@TheRidewithBenDelaney Thanks!
Ben your outa hats!!! 😎
New ones are on order. 👍
@@TheRidewithBenDelaney somehow I knew they were. 😎
good luck in the hundo. one of these years I will get in shape to do this. 🙄

Wonder how those road pedals worked out for Larry 🤓
DIRTY KANZA!!!
Title should be, The riders of..
No
Ohhhh my, riding with road shoes!! Never a smart move when walking is a very real possibility.
"The Faces of Unbound Gravel" would be more appropriate title for this vid 😅
😁
I cannot believe he went w road cleats I know he regretted it
now I know how to say Schwalbe
Did nobody bother to ask you the million dollar question….or at least the question that’s asked a million times….What tires?
Gravel bikes has lost its own purpose, the gravel bike was meant to explore 😂😂😂😂
Gravel bikes never had a purpose, that’s why people like them.
Look pedals omg...looks like a mudfest ... dnfs gonna be huge
If you are not sponsored, taking a carbon bike is just dumb. Get a Ti and you will have 0 worries about the bike getting damage.
Gravel M is a better tire than the RC
😐
Ummm uhhh
