Agreed. The show doesn't work unless the crudest of answers are thought of and laughed about but not actually used. Match Game can't work now. The 70s seems to me like the only decade where they could be naughty enough and yet restrained enough to get it just right.
I love Match Game but Richard Dawson is an asshole !! All the women that participates just wants to kiss him !! .. all Dawson wants to is to kiss every women !! … he does not win through all the time through the questions, or the super match … people pick him up anyway and he does not win all the time !! How about all the other celebrities that would win well ? .. they should have been picked than Dawson …
Brett had the best answer with the horse and buggy on the highway but I woulda said drive a tractor on the highway. Make 💘 two hundred times? That's alot of screwing around
For some reason Gene was "very" tolerant of Brett Somers. I love Gene and this show, but never ever understood that! Multiple times Brett joked she had ties to the mafia. No one believes her of course but who knows - maybe she did? (Why else would a leading game show put up with a loud, tedious, vapid and condescending crone like Brett Somers.)
